Due to the encouragement of my peers here. I am starting this thread to share some of my funnier moments in life and for my friends to come and share theirs as well. I hope we can all get some hearty laughs and blessings here. Welcome and enjoy!

I am going to start the ball rolling (so to speak) with one of my first "religious" experiences.

I guess I was about 8 or 9 yrs old and had been playing out in the back yard bare-footed, after being told numerous times to wear shoes ...when I cut the bottom of one of my toes quite badly (still have the scar) on a sharp rock.

My Mom heard me screamin when I saw the blood and she brought me inside and placed me on the edge of the bathtub and told me to settle down - she went to get the peroxide to clean up the cut. I prayed hard for that 5 min, sittin there on the edge of the tub, "Please God, please don't let it hurt......" I said this over and over and was convinced that God was going to take care of my fears......when my Mom returned and proceeded to clean up the wound - I screamed at the top of my lungs: "BUT GOD!!!! YOU PROMISED!!!!". I thought my Mom was gonna die laughing. She enjoyed telling this story for many years afterward much to my embarrassment.

LOL Becky...that's funny!

That reminds me of once when my daughter had the stomach flu really bad(oh she would KILL me for telling this!) She was about 4 and sitting on the toilet with a major case of, well, you know She kept praying and saying "God, I don't want diarreah" and asking me to pray for her. Pretty soon, she called frantically into the next room, "Mom are you still praying?" I said yes, of course I was. She said "well, stop cause prayer is just making it worser"

Sad to see someone's faith destroyed at such a tender age!

I think everyone's Mom repreats over and over an embarrassing story.
my Mom (even after I was an adult out of college) would tell about me age five, and the little boy down the street pulling our pants down and checking each other out in a dog house. (his Mom caught us).
gave a whole new meaning to "show and tell"

Congratulations
on your
new place

I am so glad you decided to start this thread. I will visit you here sweetie! Now, I may not bring such a spread every time, but surely you will still let me in the door?

Yep, I did the same thing except I was playing in a flooded irrigation ditch with my little brother. I jumped in the water as if I was jumping off a diving board and sliced my heel open by a broken coke bottle that was buried in the mud. I just thought it was a bruise. I hobbled down the road to our house and my mother just about fainted when she saw how much blood there was. We hopped in the car, drove to the next town as our town did not have a doctor. I got about 15 sitches in my heel. Still have the scars too. See. (Sticks foot up to monitor for everyone to see the healed gash) And after the gash was healed my father removed the stiches. That was not a fun sight!

Aloha Becky! Good to be in your new pad! Here I have a housewarming gift for you too! Please have some assorted macadamia nuts and some Kona coffee. You can share it too As you may already know, I also have a thread so if you want more of that coffee (or other treats), you have to come and get some ok?

Lori! Hey you didn't borrow my ukulele in awhile. Wanna play some music for Becky?
Oh and Brian! I had a question for you somewhere on my thread in the last two pages or so, I'm curious for an answer buddy.

(drinking Kona coffee from Trishy's Hawaiian Island, and eating too many muffins)
Hey do you want the recipe for those?
They are very good!

They have chocolate chips in them too.

I also have a great recipe for mocha brownies if you are interested.

I am here at this online gaming place with my children.
My boys are playing this WWII game.
I get to go online while they play.
How cool is that????
