I could use some help with my IE browser. A couple of days ago, I was composing a message in Yahoo and it started "flipping out" (like my technical term?) and now the browser looks different at the top, and on the bottom, there is no start menu button or task bar... not even when I mouse-over. "Auto-hide the taskbar" is not checked. This has happened before and I usually just shut down the browser, and that works. (Oh, and I know some of y'all will tell me to use Firefox, but it doesn't work for me... it locks up and I've had to reboot the computer as many as four times in a day.)

Is it in Full screen mode? Try pressing F11....

Wow, that was it! But my question is: how did it get into full-screen mode when I was nowhere near F11? And why does it not tell you how to exit? (Can you tell I'm not an IE fan right now?)
Another question, is anyone having trouble with Yahoo mail? It is "wigging out" again today.

You can get to full screen mode without hitting F11. (I can't remember how to tell you, because I don't use IE.)

In IE, you can click on View > Full Screen to enter Full Screen mode. I primarily use Firefox, but F11 puts in Full Screen mode as well.

Me! This morning, I couldn't access my address book and when I clicked on the Mail icon, I got an error message. I called ATT first and after running diagnostic tests, discovered it was a browser problem and to contact Yahoo, so I did since I was able to open sites stored in my favorites, it was Yahoo that I couldn't get to. Now this was on my laptop, the Yahoo guy said to check my desktop. The mail feature and everything on the desktop was working fine. He also said that they were experiencing problems and customers that were getting an error code 11, they were in the process of fixing the issue.
To conclude, I decided to re-download IE. Microsoft has a beta version of IE8, so I downloaded that. So far, so good but since it's still in beta mode, I couldn't access my online banking info because WFB doesn't approve of the browser. 
My little brother is trying to get me to try Firefox, maybe one day.....

My problem with Yahoo is that, besides the "wigging out", it will stop running for no particular reason, then ask if I want to restore the last session. Sometimes, mail is taking a while to reach my inbox (other times, it takes just seconds, even from the same sender, like when I get PM notifications).
Maybe it is a browser issue, I don't know. Sometimes I get runtime errors here on CW, and other sites don't work properly. One site in particular will cause the whole computer to lock up, and I'll have to reboot. But then if I run Firefox, that was happening about 3-4 times a day!!

I think some people may have issues with an older version of firefox , but firefox 3 is out and you should try it.
Something is wrong with your pc on the windows side.
I have no problems with IE 7 or Firefox and Yahoo. If it is crashing that much then its an o/s issue and you may end up reinstalling windows or restoring your pc, if its worth it to you.
IE is pretty much combined with windows, when it acts up, there isn't a lot you can do.

I downloaded Firefox 3 yesterday and it's awesome! Can't believe I didn't do this before. The only issue I had was getting Adobe Flash Player 9 installed and that's because the install feature was on the hidden sidebar ( I couldn't find it). I'd recommend anyone who's feud up with IE to try Firefox, you won't go back!
