What do you think of women who are pretty intelligent and yet sometimes dingy?

Think they are being women.
Same for men can be intelligent yet so stupid when it comes to communicating with women.

Various test say that I am intelligent, but I lack common sense at times, and have trouble keeping track of the car keys.
I guess I am intelligent and dingy too. My question is is the dinginess just some endearing personality trait? or is it due to an insecurity?

I would say it is not me I was referring to but I would be lying in doing so....I have been accused of being intelligent but lacking common sense sometimes before. I think of it like this...my way of thinking may not be the fastest or best way, but I still get to the same place.
I am so glad God thinks I am just fine. I think most times I just tend to overthink things, which can muddy the whole process. I am not a total ditz by any means!

Its probably a personal thing. Different guys look for different levels of intelligence and will only put up with certain levels of dinginess. I am a guy who can be pretty airheady but I think I have other strenghts that make up for it. Same with women. She probably has some strengths that can make up for the dingyness. Furthermore, dingyiness can be irritating but it can make someone more approachable/personable.

Yes,you can be both.I have known many intelligent people,most seemed to lack common sense.That's not to say that less intelligent people have any more;often not the case.As far as being 'dingy',I think that this is quite often a desireable trait.Who wants to be stuffy and dry?Dingy people have a tendency to be real fun to be around.We're not talking 'valley girl' dingy are we?It's possible that it stems from an insecurity,just depends.Unless it is affecting your life(professionally,etc.),I wouldn't worry about it.Have fun and be who you are!
