It seems the seminal Japanese actor behind "The Ballad of Narayama," and "Vengeance Is Mine," passed away this past Sunday... He'll be sorely missed.

I am sorry to hear that, I confess I did not know of him, but my daughters are very much into the Japanse culture, and I am sure they know of him.

I guess I can discuss more about the actor with your daughters--at least if they have seen his (Ogata) past roles in Bullet Train and/or Shogun's Shadow--both also starred Sonny Chiba!
