ORIGINAL: crankius I like to visit with Kerrlaw here in SG. I get to learn about SG music, chat with the SG folks, and it's kind of like the Crosswalk Water Cooler. People come from everywhere to say hello and chat. cranky has summed up the intent of this series of threads very well. It's time to start a new thread for those who choose to share their wit and wisdom, as well as educate themselves and others, in the Southern Gospel folder. IF YOU HAVE ANY COMMENTS ON SPORTS, ENTERTAINMENT, HISTORY, PHILOSOPHY, THEOLOGY, MEDICINE, CURRENT EVENTS, POPULAR CULTURE, OR ANY OTHER SUBJECT OF INTEREST TO THE SOUTHERN GOSPEL FAN, OR ANYONE ELSE, THIS IS THE PLACE TO MAKE THEM. Welcome to the "cooler" place to be.

Is this a water cooler or a wine cooler?

I guess I'm more amazed that a doctor would perform such a serious procedure without it being totally necessary. I know people who are needy in the attention department, but a doctor that would do a procedure like that without just cause is not doing his/her job, in my opinion.

ORIGINAL: BelovedHandMaiden Yes, I meant colostomy -- she wears a pouch outside her body. And I also found it amazing that any doctor would do that procedure without a really good reason. Well, after going through that, I surely hope that she doesn't get anymore procedures that she doesn't need! Daddy had colon cancer, which is why he had a colostomy. It was his choice to have it done; the doctor said it would provide some comfort for him, but it wouldn't help him live longer. I'm praying for your family, and especially your mother-in-law.
