Ok, consider this as therapy. Everybody told you what a wonderful movie it was, you saw it, and you thought "Yuk!" Nothing you can say will convince your friends otherwise, however. So get it off your chest.

Here's mine. I recently saw a poster for the next Bond film. I will absolutely not be spending money on it. I couldn't stand the last one. I'm sorry, but Daniel Craig is ugly, I thought his character was nothing more than a punk schoolboy, and I was not impressed by the "realism." Uh, if I wanted a realistic action film, I would go see--just about any other action film. The entire point of Bond for the past thirty years has been that the films were over-the-top with their villains and plots. And yes, I know we're not supposed to judge people by their looks, but when you've spent all those years cultivating the suave, debonair image of Bond, then having Craig step in just does nothing for me.

And PLEASE, folks, let's not turn this into a debating thread. The purpose of this thread is to talk about films you don't like, not argue and say why you loved a film. Like I said, you probably won't shake people out of their opinions.

I HATED Terms of Endearment, but many I know loved it. To me the message of the movie was: I'm scum and you're scum, but it's okay because we both know we're scum. I haven't seen it since it came out 25 years ago. I know I wanted my money back as I was leaving the theater. I still regret I didn't get my money back .

I believe the year was 94 or 95 im not sure, but the misses and I paid to see Beverly Hills Cop III. I was like what in the world was Eddie Murphy thinking? The script was Horrible! After seeing the first 2 I wasn't ready for the disaster that was the 3rd!

All That Jazz. My wife were expecting a musical biopic. What we got...was something else. As we walked out of the theater we looked at each other and said at the same time, "Dibs on the shower." And we needed it.

I hated Titanic. Too long, Unnecessary sex scenes, and come on, did we really need to see people floating in the water for over 1/2 an hour! Blah!

Napoleon Dynamite. I can't get through the whole move.

Amen on that one!! I don't like either of those movies! And we went to see 27 dresses because some of my friends said it was,"SO, great!!". Yeah, maybe if you cut out all the times they use the S word and the unneeded scenes then it might have been okay, but still not great.

Napoleon Dynamite - I had heard the movie from every single one of my classmates before I saw it. Ruined it for me.

National Treasure 1 & 2 - Jerry B. movies are not my thing.

Lord of the Rings

The first one was enough and I couldn't sit through the next ones. I just found them too long and boring.

Gladiator. Joaquin Phoenix was so over the top he cleared the Coliseum and Russell Crowe was nothing special.

TITANIC -- Terrible script. Terrible dialogue. Her incessant yelling of "Jack, Jack, Jack". The complete waste of Kathy Bates's talent. DiCaprio's mediocre performance when he's capable of much better. Substituting a "B" level fictional romance story for the real life compelling stories of actual people who both died and survived the sinking of the Titanic. I'll stop there but I could go on and on and on.

CIDAR HOUSE RULES -- disgusting.

THE BEE MOVIE -- Bee falls in love with human -- enough said.

CASTAWAY -- Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

I'm sure I'll think of more.

So glad to see other people dislike Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings as well. The one that tops this list for me is Anchorman. I have no idea what was supposed to be funny in that movie.

"An Officer and a Gentleman"

about a month before I saw it, a guy on my floor at the dorm had hanged himself... that was TOO much. I cannot even think about seeing still.

"The Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood"

If given the choice of a stick in the eye or watch this again... I would choose the stick.

"ET"

ugh!!!!!! When I saw it in the theatre in college, the female friends I was with were sobbing about how sad it was. My roommate and I were thinking.... It's talking dog poop... who cares.

The Narnia movies. I really just didn't get them. Like the time travel stuff, and the lion dude who waits until everybody gets the stuffing knocked out of them before he decides to use him magic powers, or whatever.

Transformers. Seriously, what a pile of every expletive imaginable.
It had no plot, the acting was beyond painful and the script hideous.
Seriously, festy.

Have you ever worked in television? I've always wondered if anyone who didn't could find Anchorman funny. I personally thought it was hysterical.

"Good Morning Vietnam." I hated it - fell asleep in the movie theatre. Robin Williams yelling "Good morning, Vietnam!!!" kept waking me up. Finally I left the movie theatre, and took a walk. When I came back (my friends were there so I had to) - it was STILL playing.

"Top Gun." Puts me to sleep every single time it is on. I just see the jet and it's lights out for me.

"Star Wars" - every episode except for "Empire Strikes Back." I love sci fi, but could never get into Star Wars. I do not know why. The last one that I saw introduced Jar Jar Binks. I heard his little laugh, then somehow the ship or whatever they were in was going underwater ... then there was some sort of celebration (a wedding maybe?) then the credits were rolling. Once again, I managed to fall asleep in the movie theater while watching a movie.

"Happy Feet." I don't really like "cutesie" stuff - so - immediately this was off of my list. I started to watch it - to be fair - to give the movie the benefit of the doubt. Poor judgement on my part.

"Dangerous Minds" and "Rush Hour" Didn't fall asleep - just turned them off. I despise - DESPISE one-dimensional stereotypes in movies and both of these movies were chock full of them. A better school movie of a dedicated teacher in an inner city school ... "Stand and Deliver" - starring Edward James Olmos (one of best actors I've seen). The kids and teacher were three dimensional - real living a breathing characters. A much, much better cop flick: Lethal Weapon.

"The Sound of Music" - I hated this when I was a kid. Maybe if I watched it as an adult I would like it - but I'm not volunteering to. Incidentally, in my parent's neighborhood - the parents actually had whistles that they blew to let kids know it was time to come home. Each family had a different whistle. Interesting huh?

- Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock movies suck.
- Titanic is absolutely disastrous. Leonardo Dicraprio is one of the worst actors ever.
- Napoleon Dynamite was funnier once everyone shut up about it.
- I tolerate LoTR because I have someone who loves it.
- Transformers did no justice to the television show whatsoever. The CGI in the movie was overanimated which made it look more fake than real.
- My Big Fat Greek Wedding. "Oh, this is the best movie EVER!". Get out more, please.
- Hulk. Same problem with Transformers.
- Any movie with Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, or Tom Hanks.
- Scary Movie, and the thousand writers that made all those other terrible movies that continue to make more terrible movies.

Anchorman would've been better had it a lot less cursing. I still love me some lamp, though.
