My existing avatar shows a particular size. I attempted to resize a different one to the same dimensions and it says it is still too large. What am I doing wrong?

I don't know what browser you are using but when I have problems I switch from Firefox to IE and can successfully upload an avatar.

Szaft, if you are still having problems, I do remember trying to use an avatar that was pretty "busy" and therefore was a larger file. You might adjust the resolution on the picture so that it is lower and see it that works.

Ps, thanks for the help. My husband also mentioned the resolution so I will look at that. It's not a big deal, I just thought I would like a change. Thanks again.

FYI the avatar system is currently not working, so it's not Firefox or your computer. I tried several different correctly sized ones and none of them would load.

yes, it's working now for me. I think Fritz posted something about it a week ago or so in the bug thread.
