I'm in need of some direction concerning the issue of using sexual aids within the confinds of marriage. Due to physical limitations the ability to not have "normal" sexual relations with my wife has (and is still) caused problems in our relationship. I'm struggling spiritually with the use of sexual aids (i.e. vibrators and such) to over come these issues. I don't want to do anything that would be causing either myself or my wife to sin before God yet at the same time I don't want to neglectic the needs of my wife or myself. The problems this has caused for us in the past has been regarding issues of infidelity, and in the present the issues are concerning feelings of attractiveness and love. I (we) pray about this issue and have searched for answers from Gods word, but I just can't seem to find anything that gives us a clear cut answer. Can any of my brethren shed some light of help and truth on this issue for me (us). Thank You and God Bless You.

I don't think you're going to find many Scriptures regarding these aides - but I think there may be some principles of honoring and respecting one another and each other's bodies (temple of God), not making demands, etc.. He gave us the organs and the feelings for our pleasure in marital intimacy.

If the use of these tools, however, remind either of you of past sins, infidelity, and brings about emotions of not being "safe" and intimate with one another alone/ then I'd suggest you do not use them or talk through the issues. The issues of attractiveness & love should not have anything to do with "tools." I respect your desire to honor God!

I see nothing wrong with them provided it isn't harming your marriage or your walk with God in some way. You both have a responsibility to provide for each other sexually and if you can't do that in...let's say "conventional" ways, then go for it.

Marriage is honorable and that includes physical pleasure. Why is it a problem for you to use extra things that enhance your pleasure together?

Like everyone else has said if they help, do it. Personally I don't like that idea. Honestly I thought this thread was about someone who got AIDS while they were married.

I don't think there is anything with you using sexual aids as long as you and your wife agree and you are respectful. I think if more married couples would enjoy themselves sexually then 56% of marriages would not be failing. I went to Spencers a few weeks ago and bought a "sex" game. I looked them over and made sure it was respectful and my wife enjoyed ourselves. The one thing is you have to be careful that you do not get trapped into going to places and websites with the appearance of looking for sexual aids but really looking at the "pictures".

Also, make sure you get a good medical check up. There are now all kinds of medical sexual devices, and medications that your doctor can give to you for your situation.

Remember, sex was created by God. Sex is a normal body function. Sex in a marriage is blessed.

If you have a medical condition, you can find books that will might give you some direction as well.
