I enjoy it, it has yet to not make me laugh. Which is the kiss of death (me liking show). So, I expect it will go the way of The Class, which I also enjoyed. Really, the tall thin one is the reason I watch it. The guy from Roseanne completely overacts his "nerdiness," but having Darlene play his notsomuch romance is amusing. The neighbor girl from that John Ritter show is pretty blah. But, the two nerd friends are great, too. One of these days I'll have to see if all of Lorre's rants are online somewhere. It's made a nice hour (How I Met Your Mother - which I haven't liked as much this season, though it's still funny and the Big Bang Theory) preceding Heroes. All the science/nerd/geek humour is spot-on.

Its starting to catch on with me. I never really liked the Class, although I probably watched it with as much interest as The Big Bang Theory. The other sitcom's have yet to catch on as well the way How I Met Your Mother did. My Name Is Earl has a certain entertaining quality about it. HIMYM, it seems as though they thought that the show was gonna be cancelled last season, so they tied up some loose ends. Now they are playing the post-break-up tension between Ted and Robin dating other people. Marshall and Lily being a happily married couple was a nice touch. Last season seemed like things were heading for doom. Anyway, sorry for meandering, just wanted to comment on The Big Bang Theory and CBS's fall season in general (Earl excepted).

I really like the premise, and most of the characters, but I agree, there is a bit of overacting going on. Since my job is pretty technical, we regularly have discussions about which person in my department the characters are modeled after. P.S. For all the vanity cards go here.

Its starting to catch on with me. Yeah, like the Class, I only watched because there was nothing else on. And it very much grew on me. Also, like the Class, the humour is too "smart" for a country where Two and a Half Men is the "#1 comedy." But the skinny one, and 70s dressing bowl cut guy are too funny. One nitpick, blondie said she worked at the Cheesecake Factory in the first episode, but the last one, she was at some sort of Denny's type joint. Thanks for the link, Random. I used to try and read them after Dharma and Greg, too.

I like the show. Other than the Office it's the only comedy I've liked in a very long time. It has made me laugh out loud a few times, which is like my criteria too.

His "vanity cards" are great. I skipped to the BB ones, after about #50. quote:
It has made me laugh out loud a few times, Yep - me and the ex-boyf both, which is pretty hard to do. Their conversations going down the stairs are great. And, again, anything involving the 70s guy! The X dressed just like the tall thin one. Sheldon. Horrible plaid pants, t-shirts...if only he'd been as smart. And employed. I think Jeff Goldblum could do some sort of excellent guest spot, as a professor or something. Oh, you know what just clicked?? Leonard and Darlene = Roseanne Sheldon's mom= Roseanne learned from reading Lorre's vanity cards, he wrote for Roseanne! That's nice, they're all still friendly. And he did Grace Under Fire, which I also enjoyed. Too bad he also writes for Two and a Half Men.

I watched this week, but I didn't think it was that funny. I did like the skinny guy mentioned and Sarah Gilbert.

Yeah yeah yeah, that's what I meant, and I'm pretty sure Mr. Wizard told the kid not to eat the hot dog they'd just dipped in it.

We watched it a few weeks ago. Dh is in computers he had to watch all of the 'geek' shows to have something to talk about at work. I really didn't find it that funny. Everyone was a bit too exaggerated, but the tall skinny friend was funny and I know lots of girls like Sarah Gilbert's character. Grace under Fire...now that was a good show. Two and a half men would be dead if Jon Cryer was not such a good actor (no, I don't watch it...I don't need to see Charlie Sheen play himself).

I found out this weekend my cousin did the Morlocks for the end of the Time Machine episode. Still one of my favourite shows. They're not dating, she agreed to go on a date with him, and he kissed her when he came to pick her up, and it ended with them leaving for their date. I know next season HAS to have a love interest for Sheldon.

I love it! Sharp and witty, with jokes not everyone gets. I like all the characters.
