Being the admirer of wit and wisdom that I am and, having witty and wise friends all over Crosswalk who, somehow, never all come together in the same place I've started this thread for that purpose.

All are welcome but you'll appreciate this place more if you are easily amused.

One rule: You simply must believe that the earth is round, rotates on its axis and revolves around the sun. If not, begone!

Suggestion: Talk about coffee frequently. It is, after all, the elixir of life.

Other than that, you are especially welcome if you have been described (either affectionately or not) as whacked, off-kilter, not-quite-right, loony, goofy, strange, weird or one egg salad sandwich shy of a picnic. Heathen and demon spawn are okay, too.

That's it. Welcome and Have Fun!

thanks for the invite! I feel so special!!

I have been described as a heathen. My first day on this website I was told I was snarky.

I like black coffee, the more expensive the better. Do I qualify?

Oh, I am a big fan of Coperincus and Gallileo!

Snarky is good.

The one thing I indulge myself in is coffee. I'll wear shoes til they fall apart but I insist on having good coffee. It's important to have one's priorities straight.

For those who haven't seen THIS, it explains the goofy rule in my first post. I still can't wrap my mind around someone saying this with any degree of seriousness.

Alrighty then... I'm making the brave walk into the Lion's Den.

Will I come back alive? Who knows?

After all I do believe that the earth does not travel around the sun. Travelers always have at least one suitcase full of unmentionables.

The earth also does not run around the sun. No running shoes in sight.

Personally, the biggest tragedy in my life is that coffee and I do not get along. It's truly a challenge to walk by the aromatic beans from heaven in the coffee aisle and know that I can't have any. And even harder to smell the aroma of a hazelnut or a french vanilla latte and have to decline to drink it. Whoa is me.... Whoa... Whoa... Whoa....

Now that you feel sorry for me, thanks for the invite. I am a self-admitted heathen Christian who doesn't know anything (or so I've been told in so many threads), believes in the utter heresy of science and the rotation of the earth, and am quite ornery. It's a scary combination I know, but one that is quite fun to be.

Hullo, Phosy. Glad you're here. That second paragraph eminently qualifies you for admittance but the fact that you can wax poetic about coffee without even drinking it is just a beautiful thing.

If the Earth is flat, it would explain why Australians have not fallen off.

since that gravitational attraction nonsense could not really be true!

But if us heatherns (note the correct spelling ) aren't afraid to break God's law, the law of gravity is just another challenge... isn't it?

Loony, but not loony if you know what I mean... Loony folks need to go back their non-rotating earth and practice pulling verses out of context to prove things that 99.9% of Christians since the beginning of Christendom have rejected...

sorry... needed to vent because some people really scare me...

"Heatherns"....I like it. What dialect is that?

So, how do you, in your heathernish way, propose to flout the law of gravity? Actually, please don't. I like ya too much to ever want you to need scraping off the sidewalk.

That doesn't seem to cause some folks much pause in their "thinking". I really thought I'd seen everything here. I was wrong.

You, and every other woman who makes coffee, are living sinfully in direct contradiction of the Bible.

It literally and clearly says Hebrews.

Clearly, God is protecting you from your sinful nature.

Thank God you're here to set me straight. Now tell me, where can I find a "he" to brew my coffee for me? I only want to live biblically, ya know.
