about this forum, and it is the 'One Stop' threads. Especially when you start a thread, get a good convo going, and then a mod closes the thread becuase a One Stop thread already exists...But what I really dislike is when they close the thread and it was not even related to the One Stop thread they are referring to.

Just had to blow off a little steam before I take my irritating puppy for a walk =)

I think there is a One Stop thread for blowing off steam. Take it there

haha, yah, you're probably right. I'm sure this thread will be closed soon and it will be routed to the correct location.

We can try to get friendships and conversations going between friends on One Stop Threads by simply PMing a poster whose posts you like. Ask them to go to the one stop thread to give their thoughts on your questions.

This may open up friendships and doors and relationships and mutual understanding and respect, etc. Wow! Some potential there.

Perhaps I should do that. Perhaps I should go to the "Fathers role" thread, if there is one, and see if I can get people going on a serious converstion.... Hmmm.

I know what you mean, though. Many who post on this "General Faith" forum don't cruise the other threads. I know I don't.

Blessings
Rusty

Tuckonline, Shalom.

OK, but whatever you do, do not name that puppy 'Mod.'

I despise the One Stop threads because they are so blasted long. I totally understand the concept, that they don't want 100 threads about the King James Bible, but I wish there was a way to have One Stop folders maybe, where you could call the folder "King James Bible" and have several smaller threads in it that deal with specific issues within that broad topic.
If I am interested in "What denominations solely use KjV" or "Comparisons of different passages" it would be great to not have to endure thousands of posts to find a few posts on the actual part of the subject.

I totally dislike the One Stop threads because it stifles discussions but I really hate it when a thread is locked and directed to a One Stop thread that is also locked. I was kind of wondering how those topics can be discussed if there is nowhere to discuss them?

I've reopened it. If you are subbed to it, the sub feature may not work for a bit because so many posts were deleted, but you can get to it by going to the folder and clicking on the page.
