What has become of Harold Gilley, the exceptional bass singer formerly of Palmetto State Quartet? Is he still singing?

He sang from time to time with other groups, including (I think) Danny Funderburk and Mercy's Way, but he is currently off the SG circuit.

I've wondered about Harold Gilley a fair amount too. If anyone is in touch with him, please let him know that people still love him and are praying for him.

I believe after his time with the Palmetto State, he went on to sing briefly with a group called Southern Gold with former Statesmen baritone, Mike LoPrinzi. Also, for the past two years Harold has sang with the UnOriginal Masters V at the Grand Ole Gospel Reunion and trust me, he's still got it!

Does anyone know if Harold will be at the Grand Ole Gospel Reunion this year? I won't be there but I'd love to get in touch with him somehow.

In the current issue of the Singing News, the article on the Grand Ole Gospel Reunion mentions that the UnOriginal Masters will make an appearance. So, my guess is that there is an excellent chance Harold will be there.
