It's a good movie.
They usually show it every Halloween on TCM.
Not sure if they still do or not.

I've yet to see it but want to because:
1. I've heard it's great.
2. The Ramones stole "Gabba Gabba Hey" from it.
3. Every time my dad and brother see me with my hair loosely pulled back in a fake bun, they screech "Eee! Eee! Eee!". Apparently there's a scene in the movie that I remind them of.

I don't remember if I saw that one from the very beginning, but it was quite a different kind of "horror movie" from what I remember, if you can even call it a "horror movie". Aren't the "freaks" chasing someone down in that movie, maybe even trying to kill him? It has been a very long time.

This was a fantastic movie. It did a great job showing how prejudiced and cruel people can be around people who are different. I liked how everyone banded together and took care of the tormentors. This movie was considered so horrifying that for the next 30 years after its initial release, the movie was banned in England. Aound the mid sixties, England finally lifted the ban and started showing it. I have to admit, was horrified at the condition of the woman at the very end. They did a number on her.

Wow, I just found that one online and watched the ending - I think I had watched this all the way through before, but maybe not, or else it had been so long...because I didn't really remember that very shocking ending!
