No, you're right, he's stupid. It's another that should never make it to court, but will probably result in a big settlement. He's suing the wrong people, anyway. Zondervan doesn't translate, they just publish. If he wants to sue the translaters, I believe there are like 90 different names. Good luck, sport!

Maybe he should try suing the author

I signed on with another temp/employment agency today, and they seem more fired up than the others, which is nice. I tested quite well with the general office skills test...they said that nobody had ever scored as high as me . That's sad! It's basic filing, sorting and proofreading, why on earth is that a problem???

I also completed their online assessments, and did very well with Word, Excel and my typing speed (79wpm, only 1 error)

I'm hoping and praying they have an assignment for me soon! We need the income, we really do...

After signing on with another temp agency yesterday morning, I went to see Prince Caspian at a discount theater. What a good movie! It was much darker than the first Narnia movie, but there was a lot to learn from it, and it ended well.

I can see why young women are liking the actor who played Prince Caspian. He's a handsome young man!

woohoo! I just received a letter in the mail letting me know that my resume has been accepted for an office assistant position with the USDA! That would be great if I got that job :) It's basically a receptionist/secretarial job that looks pretty basic on paper.

I found it through a job search engine - indeed.com - that searches quite a few career/job search websites at once. This job was listed on USAjobs.com, which is where you can find postings for federal employment.

Yay, Kimmy! I hope you get the work, even if it is for the government.

Caspian is playing at the $2.50 theater down the street here. I need to see it on the big screen. I never saw the first one in a theater but now wish I had.

Thanks, Steve :) the most important thing right now is to be working, but if I can get a permanent job that would be great.

Andrew and I are going to see Prince Caspian tonight. Me for the second time, him for the first. He wants to see it, which is neat.

You do need to see it on the big screen, it's so worth it. It's not only a great story, there's so much you could learn from it.

I know. I saw the first one on my dinky TV and realized how cool it would have been in the theater.

This one has much more action than the first, and the white witch makes a brief appearance.

I need to read the books again.

The white witch really creeped me out in the first movie, but I suppose that was the point.

hmm..the Firefox spell checker doesn't like the word "creeped" It also underlines "blonde" offering "blond" as the correct spelling.

She'll creep you out in this one as well, along with her minions :P

I like the Firefox spell checker even though I ignore it most of the time :D

I suppose a "real" typist doesn't need the spellchecker, unlike two-fingered typists like me.

Congratulations, Kimmie. Government work's great if you can get it. They almost always promote from within. I hope it's a long term assignment.

On to another subject...some people are just plain stupid...it's sad to see what a mind that's turned from God actually turns to....Gay man sues publishers over Bible verses

quote:

A gay man is suing two heavyweight Christian publishers, claiming their versions of the Bible that refer to homosexuality as a sin violate his constitutional rights and have caused him emotional pain and mental instability.

Ok, maybe I shouldn't call him stupid, but I can't think of anything nicer to say about what he's doing. So maybe he's not stupid, but he sure is blinded to the truth and has descended into total ridiculousness.

Now I did hear about this. He is unlikely to win I think, but especially the amounts that he is sueing for.

good day :)

Still no temp assignment, but we're doing ok. It's helping us really merge our finances, so that's good!

Last night after work, Andrew stopped at Sam's Club and bought two whole roasting chickens, so I did some research and created a rub for them and just put them into the oven to roast. They won't be bad, but I'm curious to see how they turn out once done.

I have some clothing up for sale on ebay, and the auctions are in the process of ending. I think I'll have made $65+ on the clothing once all is said and done in half an hour. Not as much as I spent on all of it, but still a decent amount for used (in very good condition) clothing :)

Nice Kimberly on the Ebay sales!

Also, were they live chickens or were they cooked instead?
