I don't think it's cheesy at all. I think it's sweet, the way you show your pride for Douglas.

Did you check Cafepress for sweatshirts? They always have cool moto gear, that's where I get my Marine Corps wifey stuff.

I like the white on navy. I too think it's cool that you're so proud of Douglas. I remember when you called him "the devil," or something like that.

Go with the colors of his branch.

I know you just said on the last page.. but I'm too lazy to go look. If Navy I'd do Navy blue with white/ivory lettering.

Grey. Standard Army sweats are grey, and that would look almost official.

Humm, how I would I find out what the colors of his branch are? His unit does have fox as part of its name, but don't know the colors.

I didn't know you read over here, Ryanne. I have not checked Cafepress, but the sweatshirt I linked to is currently on sale for $15, which is probably cheaper than I can get it anywhere else.

It was The Evil Blonde One

That's what I was kind of thinking.

I just figured I would pop in and see how you were doing with the happenings of the past week in regards to Ami.

I am right next to an Air Force/Army base and wouldn't mind popping in and grabbing you a "real" official sweatshirt or even just checking to see what they cost. Unless you *really* want one that says "sister", I don't think I have seen many of those.

Yah, I did want to order one that said "sister" on it, but thanks for the offer. :)

We are doing alright with the passing of Ami. Some people keep asking us if we are getting another dog. It is easier to just have one dog, so we are not planning to get another dog any time soon. Thinking about Ami doesn't make me cry anymore, so that is good.

~~~~~~~~
Ugh, the Jeep that Matt drives is not working now. Yesterday Matt discovered a belt was broken on it. He got that fixed and that cost $150. Then today it was working until he pulled in at a gas station after he got off work. He said it feels like something is locked up. So he got an appointment to take it to a shop that his co-worker's brother owns on Friday
I am sooooo tired of paying for stuff. First the heater, now the Jeep, then when summer rolls around again we have to fix the AC. And going to see my brother's Army graduation is going to cost hotel, rental car, and meals out in addition to the plane tickets. I am just sooo sick of my second job and I so want to quit but I can't with all these extra expenses.
Unfortunately, paying for food, rent etc is essential. Spending is essential. It's just how much you choose to spend that you control.
{{{{{Catherine}}}}}
yes. Married I are.
Photos can be seen here. We're just hanging out this morning before we have an afternoon activity. We've spent the week exploring the area and enjoying the weather. It's been PERFECT!!!! We have a rental house on the coast and can watch the waves crash in and the sun set and it's just sooooooo pretty!!!!!!!!!!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/klenger/sets/72157607955127032/
There are only some of the photos. I will work on uploading mine in a couple days. And put up photos from other cameras. At the end of the day, everyone gave us their memory cards from their computers and we uploaded all the photos on our computer. It's like the disposable cameras on the table for the digital age.
My dad was the "official" photographer. Josh's dad performed the ceremony. Those were both very special to us.
I know that spending for rent and food is essential, but it is all these extra expenses I don't like.
Furnace replacement 10/14 = $2,100
Jeep repair bill from 10/15 = $150 (paid cash)
Jeep repair bill from 10/16 = $650
Trip for my brother's graduation = don't care to think about yet
That is $2,750 on the credit card in just three days. I do have some extra money to pay for some of that, but not for all of it. And that was more than the existing credit card balance we had before 10/14.
Can I just say that I think US Airways is a really truly terrible company?
Original fare I paid to see my brother's graduation = $290 per ticket
Price I changed to change the tickets = $279 per ticket
How can they get away with this? Does this not anger their customers and make them not return? I understand paying the difference in fare price since now the trip is closer and Thanksgiving is a popular travel time. But I just cannot get over the $150 rebooking fee PER TICKET. Awful. Very awful. For $279 I could have gone to Vegas and back twice... or to some other new destination.
They do it because they know they CAN do it. Simple as that.
Yep...
I consider these stupid US Airways tickets to be my biggest financial mistake of the year.
it almost would've been easier to re-book the flight.
And it's easier to shell out money for a NEW ticket, not to rebook a ticket.
I'm getting my hair cut in 30 min. And then hopefully I can come home and start sorting through photos and put more online. I need to think about ordering some prints too. I don't want to wait a year to do that.
We were thinking we would order prints for extended family as Christmas presents this year. Maybe get a small album to put them in, and then a 5x7 or 8x10 of a picture with them in it framed.
My appraisal boss mentioned that to me. I did check after work yesterday and I couldn't have booked a new flight with any other airline for under $279 round trip.
That's too bad.
I'm glad you get to go. And sometimes you just have to say, "Good-bye money" when it's something like this.
I might be able to depending on what sort of weekend promotions are going on at the call center. I am working five extra hours today (am currently there and on break). The problem is I am worried about the call center firing me if they won't give me the time off to go to my brother's graduation. I am going to go whether they say I can be off or not, and I doubt calling in sick four days in a row on a big holiday week will be looked upon favorably.
