you can watch it online at scifi.com/eureka. They always have it posted and ready the day after... Personally, I'm looking forward to next week.

Michael Shanks (of Stargate) will be coming up this season too - and his wife is in next week's episode. I love the idea of all the women in Eureka being attracted to Carter. *g*

Reminds me of a cologne commercial when I was a kid. Hi Karate.

ORIGINAL: the_captain And when Science can't provide the answers, everyone goes to church. I like this show, but that one dropped this episode down on my all time favorite list. I've got to agree, I didn't like this episodes handling of the subject either. Not just because people suddenly flocked to church, but because they couldn't come up with a scientific explanation for it. GARGH! You've got to have some pretty stupid scientists to not be able to come up with some sort of scientific explanation for anything. That's one of the things that makes the scientific method work, that as long as you can hang some numbers on it, it's "science"! Now, if they'd bothered to deal with the difference between a reasonable explanation, and a series of unlikely events so nearly impossible as to be unreasonable, then it might have been better. But as it was the whole "I'm not creative enough to come up with a scientific explanation, it must be GOD!" is just absurd for the residents of Eureka. quote:
ORIGINAL: doinkdom As with any crisis...people go to church. Think 9/11 and masses of people entering churches for the next few months. Eureka has had it's share of apocalyptic moments, with no sudden surge of religion or Bible quoting before. This wasn't even much of a crisis, a few lost voices, some red water, glowing skin and a power outage. Serious for those dying from it, but more lives have been in imminent danger before, with less readily available answers. (with the exception of glowing skin, none of these things are really bizzare in and of themselves. Sharing dreams is a lot freakier.) quote:
I know the dialog of the show blamed the lack of church attendance on scientists...but please... is that the real reason? Of course not. There is no reason, at least not one that stands outside of non-belief and laziness. The sad thing is that there are a lot of physicists, astronomers and other scientists who believe in God because of what they know about science, not in spite of it. The idea that a brilliant scientist would neccesarily have trouble believing in God is a fallacy.

It was GREAT! And I love Fargo. He's hilarious. I just wonder what Henry is going to do. I don't like this dark path he's taking.

It's been a while since I've seen toilet humor (quite literally) be so integral to a plot.

It was so utterly disappointing. I have more questions than I did at the first of the season! ARgh.

ORIGINAL: Marcus. Is this on anymore? No new episodes airing right now. Season 2 ended in October. SCIFI has renewed Eureka for a third 13 episode season. I don't know if the writer's strike will change it's scheduled start in summer 2008, though.

It's like Battlestar Galactica on SciFi. They will be off for almost a year by the time it returns. Definitely a way to try to kill the show off. I don't understand the new format to seasons. It makes no sense. I don't like any of the shows in the time slots replacing either of these shows. I've deleted the channels and time slots for recording even.

Although, it is a little confusing that more and more shows are starting seasons at unpredictable times. On one hand, it's nice to have shows a little more spread out, through the year, but I hate trying to keep up and missing episodes because I didn't know when the new "season" was starting.

Anyone planning on catching the season premier? I think it comes on at the end of this month.
