There are some TV programmes that I like watching, but I think I could handle it if for some reason we didn't have one. It would give me more time to read and do other things.

As for the furniture situation, I think I'd find that hard. I couldn't sit on the floor as my body just wouldn't handle it, but give me a strong milk crate to sit on, and I'd be happy.

Hi Trish! I lived without a Television when I first moved out of my parents house. It was a big step when I bought my first TV set.

(((((((Trish)))))))

TV, OK without, but no furniture would be kinda uncomfortable. I don't watch that much TV, but watch more in summer because it's so hot. Today it was 110 and I didn't go out. I watched about an hour of TV here and there today, did some laundry, did the dishes, a Bible Study, and a few other things. Got any more ideas for being home in the heat?

If there's a pool or a beach around in the hotter months, that makes life easier.

The cooler temperatures are wreaking havoc on my body as that's one thing that gets affected by fibromyalgia. I see the specialist later on this afternoon. (It's the early hour of Tuesday morning here). I try to rug up as much as I can in blankets etc to keep warm.

I'll be interested in hearing what the specialist says, Trish. Meanwhile, stay warm!

Today has been a really quiet day. After yesterday, I just needed some space. I had planned on going out for a while, but after what happened yesterday at the gym, John and Joan thought it would be a good idea if I just took it easy. That, and this afternoon, I completely lost the plot. Poor John and Joan had to put me back together as I just had a meltdown of giant proportions. They didn't know what to do with me. What do you do with somebody who's in tears due to massive pain, and is trying her very best not to scream in pain and frustration? Not easy living in this household right now. Please pray for us if you feel led to do so.

Trish have you ever seen the movie The Dish? We saw it last night and I thought it was a very good movie.

Denny, I saw that and thought you'd broken your arm!

Another tough day. Went and saw the doctor. The specialist yesterday gave me a new med (prednisone) in the hope that it will help with the pain. Can't stay on it more than 4 days though as it will massively mess me up, as well as my blood sugars. If it works, I've got to come off and go on another med. Coming off the one that works will be unpleasant though for a week or so, having felt so good and then withdrawing the med. The other won't kick in for at least three months. If it, (the prednisone) doesn't work, then there's nothing he can do for me.

Physically and emotionally it's been torture. I thought yesterday was a meltdown. Tonight was worse. Seeing me, John was really distressed and Joan was in tears. God showed her a little bit of what I go through physically and emotionally, (for intercession). She was already upset seeing me the way I was, but she absolutely broke down when God allowed her to have just a tiny taste of what I go through.

(((((((((((((((((((((((Trish)))))))))))))))))))) Although I don't have a clue as to the pain you are in I can definitely relate to how you feel about your relationship with God right now. Seems I'm kinda in the exact same spot.

Well, it's after 4am and I'm still trying to unwind from what happened earlier. I don't feel the least bit tired, but I suppose I'd better head off to bed. I'll talk to you all later.

I wish I were better at offering words of comfort, Trish. I do know that the Lord hasn't abandoned you, though it may seem as if He has. I'm praying for you!

...... Okay.... she looks like 12 hours ahead of me... and I'm on central time...

Does that make it 11 hours for you, DebbieLynne?

There are too many time zones in OZ...

If you drilled a hole through the center of the earth and put an elevator in it, then got in it and came out in Australia, you would be upside-down too.

I have no words, Trish, for what you must be feeling or going through, and what you have already gone through. Sometimes it just seems like there is an awful burden put on one person. Please know I'm praying for you
