John said we hit the person's plastic bumper bar. At least that won't rust. Took some of the paint off of it, but no damage on the rest of the chassis.

I have ABBA Gold, I am tempted to listen to it even before the WOW 2008 CD that BMG sent me. I was even thinking of returning the latter because they charged me $21.98 (I think) plus almost $5.00 to ship it also. While they are offering 2 free CD's too, they are not really free because they charge shipping of $2.97 per CD too. That with their limited selection I am much better off just returning it if I can and then buying it from CBD instead.

Before they merged, Columbia House was better. Also, Word Records used to have their own club also. Back in the 80's they had an awesome deal, then in the early 90's, not so good. I do not think that have the club anymore at all.

I just hope that they never catch up to me.

I still have dreams of having to buy 1,000 CDs.

.... my brother does, too...

Like downloading an album from Itunes is a way better deal....

I would... but.... music really isn't in my budget.

Call me old-fashioned, but I still buy CDs. I dunno, I just prefer having a something I can hold, and show folks what I have.

Not that ever show folks my collection. My mate probably has around 300 CDs by now (although he usually downloads now, too).

^^

THAT is the other reason.

Not to mention the fact that I generally do a fresh install of Windows roughly every 6 months (which I do to clear out the gunk that has a tendency to build up in the install). I guess I could get an external HDD for that, but, well, it opens up the option of using a stereo to listen to the music.

When my hard drive died unexpectedly, I lost almost all of my digital photos, bookmarks and anything else that I had saved as well!

I wish I could do that, now don't you lose a not of pertinent information when you do that as well?

Hey everybody.

Didn't get online last night as we had thunderstorms. A bit further south of us had a mini tornado. Thousands of homes without electricity. Thankfully we were safe and didn't lose our power.

A friend unexpectedly came over last night. He had dinner with us and watched some GOD TV with us.

I preferred Meet Dave to Mamma Mia. I didn't mind the music so much in Mamma Mia, but the plot left a lot to be desired.

I'm like Cammo. I prefer buying CDs, not that I've bought any for quite a while now. Not in my budget. I don't download anything as I don't know how. Even if I did, this computer is so old that it wouldn't handle it anyway.

I'm in a fair bit of pain at the moment. I burned parts of my hands tonight, and I find it really hard to type, bend my hands and fingers or touch anything. I've also got a massive headache. Partly a sinus headache, but also because I've somehow managed to put my neck out.

(((((((((((((((((((((((RACH)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

(((((((((((((((((((((EVERYBODY))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Well, it's late, and I'm hopeful of making it to church in the morning. It's going to be in the low 30s. I'm not so worried about having an asthma attack in that, but more about the pain caused by cold temperatures. Hopefully I'll be ok. I'll talk to you all later. Take care.

I have a word for you BACK-UP. You need to back-up EVERYTHING. I had a classmate who lost all her work for the semester when her friend spilled All-sport on her Laptop. She was a tad annoyed. Her friend was very, very, very sorry. Teachers were very understanding.

Hi Sara, yes, I learned the hard way, I did not realize that my hard drive had already been showing warning signs for a few years at that point, but not knowing computers I was clueless!

Hi Trish, I hope you feel better real soon, now take care of yourself! BTW, what is Meet Dave about?

Meet Dave is about an alien spaceship that comes to earth in the search of water. The spaceship is in the form of a man, Eddy Murphy. It's a comedy as the aliens inside the spaceship have to learn how to act like a human in order not to be discovered.

The problem with the computer is that one of the .exe files has disappeared or changed somehow. We're going to have to get a new computer whenever we can afford it, which won't be anytime soon.

Hi everybody.

Had the ladies over this afternoon for the friendship group. Not all of them have been able to come over at the same time, so it was good having such a good turnout.

One of the husbands of the women came over today as he's on holidays. He was going to spend some time with John, but John hasn't been at all well today. Hopefully he'll be better tomorrow.

My neck's out. Anybody got any suggestions other than seeing a chiropractor? I haven't got the finances for that. I'm already taking pain meds.
