The Lord has indeed been pretty amazing......

I've been still for so long, not like, Be still and know I am God.......more like still in being afraid of failure to move........and i'd gotten to the point of losing a vision before my eyes......and not like a vision, vision.......but, like my direction. I became still in the middle of the ocean......the thought just came to me.....and the whole storm of life......"what am i here for, why was i born, my purpose"......came battling before my eyes, and i had no answers!!!!!!!

The Lord has totally renewed my heart.......

What brings me Joy? Seeing birds in the park.

Favorite threads in singles? I do like the Singles chat thread, plus any thread that I start as well.

Plans that God has promised me? Through the years it has been that I have been called to "the ministry." Now that was back when I was teenager, and what that exactly means, I do not know. This was from a word of knowledge from 2 separate sources.

My old pastor had a word that God wanted to prosper me. That was just over 10 years ago.

But perhaps one of the most profound words that I ever heard in my heart was when I was very sick and had a very bad case of acid-reflux. I was in a real lot of pain and hadn't been able to hold anything down for 5 days!

I cried to God why is this happening? And I just felt in my spirit the words that God had plans for me far bigger and beyond than what I could ever imagine!

Now, I am still waiting for all these things to come to fruition, however in His timing though, and not mine.

Thank you Joy!

More things that bring me Joy.

Good friends.

Watching wildlife in either their natural habitat or at the zoo.

A good clean joke that is very funny!

Mikey, this really made me smile ... knowing that God has plans for you, and trusting Him, waiting on His timing.

Veronica - that's awesome about the job!! Horray!!

Rachel - are you sure you're not secretly blonde?
(I'm totally messing with you, after all I have the right as a natural blonde ... LOL ... :-P)

I am smiling today because it's Friday and my munchkin gets home from Bible camp. I'm excited to hear him tell me what he has learned this week.

I am smiling at a little book I am holding in my hand..........one of my atheist co workers brought it down to me...........

I am smiling at the courage and faithfulness of someone willing to risk the worlds opinion of them for the Lord.

The booklet I have oin my hands..........was including in a package from United States Plastic Corp.

It shares the testimony of sports stars and on the last page is a prayer of acceptance.......with a card for them to send back to receive a free book...........

Funny thing I asked my co-worker......don't you want to keep it?

His reply.........oh I read the last one........

Seeds planted make me smile....

I'm spending the day HERE tomorrow with my best friend. We're renting bikes and going all over the place - which should allow me to take all sorts of pictures. Plus, it's allowing me to interact and begin networking with fellow CERT members from all over the county. It's going to be a GREAT day! Plus, I get to see Jim tomorrow night at church.

Ok, that does it. I clicked the link. Now I'll be bummed all weekend... beaches, sun, beautiful and warm... I'll have clouds, rain and cold if the weather person is right. Bummer. But I hope you have a great weekend Lisa!

Thanks, so do I! I'm so NOT a beach person, so being able to go and do other things will make it fun....even if we only end up staying for a few hours. It'll be better than normal for me.

We've got rain daily - I really don't care if it's overcast - it means I can stay out longer because I won't get sick from the heat.

It'll be fun - regardless of the wx. Hopefully yours isn't too bad.

I just looked up our weather forcast Lisa. They have downgraded to "chance of showers/occasional severe thunderstorm".

Well, maybe we'll have some sun between hail and thunderstorms... Anyway, when I was looking at that, I thought of the other night when we went from like 80 degrees to 58 in about 20 minutes - then an hour later back to 80 something. LOL, I thought Lisa would like this weird weather! You never know what's going to happen around here, lol. We can often have a 20 degree difference between "up the hill" and "by the lake" too. Just Gotta love this place...

I can explain why, if you'd like, but that's not the topic of this thread. But, doing so would make me smile.

(It's because you've got such COLD air in the upper atmosphere, and it's being brought down with the rain and hail and down drafts - that's why it always gets cooler in storms.)

ohh, Ft. Desoto w/my sisters and a crazy kite bring back memories!!

The thing there, is that in some places to get to the beach, you gotta hike quite a ways in loose sand w/all of your junk......lol

I learned, what do i really need for a day at the beach.....lol and the backpack didnt make it on the list!

also, right off of the beach are places where tons of sharks hang out......my dad knew this guy when he worked for the city, that owned a plane......and we went up, and saw schools of sharks right next to fishermen.......swimmers......and fish! lol

we've caught our fair share of sharks there.......yummy!!! and......i still go swimming!

Hmmm, good explanation, but that particular night there weren't any thunderstorms or rain/hail. I know it has something to do with the colder lake vs. air or something though... or maybe we almost got rain? LOL, all I know is it boggles my mind, but I figured a weather "geek" would love it...

Absolutely! There could be any number of reasons it did that - I'd have to see air patterns and other things. But thanks for helping me smile in realizing I really do know this stuff.

I'm feeling a new sensation that I haven't felt in a few years....and that is I'm excited for the weekend and I want to do something other than hide out!

I know I probably got kind of annoying before complaining about my job all the time and now I'm probably getting kind of annoying about gushing about how much I like my new job....but I can't help it! I feel like such a huge weight has been lifted off me. Before I would be so drained emotionally that I would get to the weekend and it would take a lot of effort to get out and do things with my friends and family. I would just want to hide out and recoup from the draining week. But now I look forward to getting out. When I was thinking about this earlier today I thought maybe it's just because I'm going through the "honeymoon" stage of the job. But then I remembered with the former company there never was a "honeymoon" stage. It was the sense of dread right from the beginning.

So anyway...I'm just still smiling and just had to share it.....again.

Children standing in the front of the church - singing the songs they learned during the week at Bible School.

In the group of 3-5 year olds, there was one little girl who has Down's Syndrome. She smiled the biggest and jumped up and down while she did all the hand motions. She must have used all of her energy cause she sat down during the middle of the song. She kept doing the hand motions and singing. I kept my eyes and smile on her.
