Status: offline 		I am so excited and smiling a huge smile.

God is doing so many new things in my life.

He is showing me more and more each day what it means to walk under open heavens.........what it is like when I allow him to build my house without a ceiling.

I was slain in the Spirit..........and it was nothing like I expected.......it was so cool.......I mean really cool........I am just grinning from ear to ear......

I have always been a little nervous and weary when a church I was at would begin slaying people in the Spirit.......usually I would find an excuse to leave the sanctuary or at least go to the back away from all the commotion.

Today a friend called and invited me to this little old country church where she had heard about an old grandfather type pastor who had an amazing anointing.

I asked God..should I go? You know how uncomfortable that stuff makes me........

God's reply.......Dawn I am building your house not you.......and I am doing so without a ceiling........look up and see the heavens......hmmmm ok God I will go.....but I am just watching.

I went.......

I wasn't uncomfortable at all........now granted I did not go up at first....I waiting to see if the pastor would say anything, as he was calling people out, which really spoke to me.......nothing did.....

But I was not afraid or weary........I was curious.

Finally I decided to give it a try......I went up and told the pastor I was not doing this to "get" or "receive" anything but just because I was curious and felt God said to just give it a try......

I really didn't think I would fall........but I did.

And it was so different then I expected..........it was not like I was falling......He told me to close my eyes......he blow on me and the next thing I know I was laying on the floor looking up at the heavens as though God had gently laid me down so I could see the stars at night.....

It was such a cool experience........

Then the pastor told them to stand me up again and he told me that God has just been waiting for me to open myself up to all he wants to do in my life......all the Holy Spirit wants to do......and then touched my arm and I went down again........I wish I could describe it.........it was just so fun.......Almost like riding a wave on lake michigan......tickled me with fun.......

After the service a older lady came up to me and gave me a hug....and said to me........sweet heart the Holy Spirits presence is all over you......I just smiled.

Then as we were leaving the pastor came and shook my hand....and said remember God has an amazing calling on your life..and this is just the beginning.......he is doing a new thing in your life.....he is showing you things unknown to you before...........and you are just tasting the beginning........he is going to flow in your life like a powerful river..........

He went on but I couldn't remember it all.......I just stood there and grinned like an idiot.........and I am still grinning.

I am telling you if I had known what it was all about I would have done it a long time ago........but you know I wouldn't have because I was not prepared for it before.......I was too busy trying to build my own life as I thought I wanted it to be.........

Now I am more then happy to let him do the building......the life he is building for me is so much more and different then I could have imagined.......

I am smiling can you tell.........I don't know if I will ever stop smiling......

Joy! What a wonderful experience!! God is sooo good!!!


My oldest daughter was slain in the Spirit when she was five... she said she was walking along the beach with Jesus...

I can't help but wonder if God gave her that experience because of the trials she would go through in life later... I pray God reminds her of that memory...

Exciting stuff, Joy.... way to be!

I looked out my window... and he was standing on the otherside... less than three feet away.... looking in at me...

So cool to see beauty so close...

Isn't love such an interesting thing.........how you can think you have loved with all the love you have to give only to find out that the deep love you had was only a fraction of the depth of the love you are capable of experiencing.

Yes indeed

Being in love makes me smile.

LOL for most of you I probably sound silly......going on and on about love.

But for a girl, who knows what it is like to have a dead heart, having one beating with passion and love.........well it just blows me away..........

Last night I thought being slain in the Spirit was fun.......today I am realizing something more happened then I realized...........I am not sure what.......all I know is that each person I encounter I just feel this overwhelming sense of love towards.........

Though I guess that is what happens when you fall more and more in love.......there is just so much it can't help but pour out of you.........

Thank you so much Lord...........Thank you for giving me more of you.

Thank you that you are love........you don't give us love you are love..........and the more we have of you in us the more we have of love.

I love you Lord.........you make me smile.....

Home...I've got home... like I'm going home from work....

then I've got HOME...where my parents are and my roots from the past 17 years..

(then there's always our eternal Home....and I can't imagine how much better that can possibly be!!!!!!)

Like when the pastor, las Friday night, was holding my hand........I felt like I was home.........I was were I belonged.

The same feeling was in the church I was at last night.......just an overwhelming feeling of being home.

LOL I guess maybe it is being in the kingdom of which I am a citizen instead of the one where I am a foreigner

Rosie.. I did move home after seminary for 7 months, then got a "real" job in TX so I moved again.

It's hard to keep up with my own life.

Sam, did you ever see that episode of friends when Pheobe got sick and suddenly she realized she sang realllly well and ppl loved her sick voice. When she got better, she kept trying to get herself sick again.

My singing voice is not the best sick or well........

Well unless you are talking spiritually.........When I am well spiritually my voice is angelic lol
