There you said it! They are a humanitarian aid organization. They should provide aid, not commentary.

Seems there is a method to their madness....
Kassam rockets continue to rain down on western Negev
quote:

Hamas took responsibility for the attacks, which it said were retaliation for the shooting of a Palestinian gunman near the Gaza security fence earlier in the day. In addition, Hamas threatened in a statement to fire dozens more rockets at Sderot throughout the night. Defense officials, however, said the attack was most likely connected to the ongoing internal clashes between Fatah and Hamas inside Gaza that killed at least 15 Palestinians Tuesday.

According to the officials, the Hamas attack was an attempt to draw attention away from their slaying of eight Fatah security officers earlier in the day and was meant to provoke Israel into invading Gaza, a move that would end the internal fighting and unite Fatah and Hamas against their common Israeli enemy.

VIDEO: Israeli school hit by rocket

VIDEO - A high school in the Negev was directly hit by a Qassam rocket Thursday. Two people were lightly wounded in the attack, and several others suffered from shock.

The rocket landed on an unfortified classroom, which was empty at the time. Students who were at the school were ordered to remain in the fortified classrooms.

Head of the Shaar Hanegev local council Alon Shuster said that there were still a few classrooms in the school which had not been fortified. "Only the students that had to take their matriculation exams came to school today, and they were placed in fortified classrooms," he stated.

And for those of you who were wondering how the poor Fatah heads live in the dreary land of Gaza, where the Jews are the oppressors , feast your eyes on the digs of the Fatah security chief here.

Life sure is tough for the terrorists.

I would question the validity of your news source there. Still calling Fatah terrorists, huh?

Follow some of the links in that blog, you'll see incredible homes that Arabs are building outside of Jerusalem also. Doubt if you will, but a picture says a thousand words. Besides, you think that guy with the hood over his head looks like anything BUT a terrorist?

Then click on the description of the photo, such as this one - Sitting room, it'll lead you to Yahoo News photos. Pretty valid to me.

And one of your own sources, Al Jazzera isn't hate filled at all? Give me a break Chris.

Find something in Al Jazeera that is more hate filled than that site you linked to.

Hamas threatens Israel suicide bombings

Hamas today threatened to resume suicide bombings after Israeli planes launched air strikes against the militant Palestinian group in Gaza. The three aerial attacks destroyed a Hamas compound, hit a car carrying two senior commanders and a trailer used by the Islamist group, killing three people and wounding scores of others.

Israel confirmed all three air strikes. It had earlier threatened "harsh" action in response to repeated Palestinian rocket attacks. More than 50 rockets have fallen on the Israeli town of Sderot in the last three days. Seven struck Sderot today, one hitting a school and leaving two people slightly injured.

It was one Jew's blog. He represents only himself. In this case he found Yahoo photos of the Security chief's digs. Why is that hateful in your eyes? All it is showing is the contrast in living accomidations between the haves and the have-nots in Palestinian society.

Israel's Response to Rocket Fire Seen as Declaration of War by Hamas

quote:

Hamas threatened to resume its suicide bomb attacks on Israel Thursday after the Israeli Air Force struck a Hamas facility in the Gaza Strip. Later, the air force struck a vehicle carrying Hamas terrorists, the army confirmed.

In response, Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaida was quoted as saying that "the Zionist enemy has declared war." Ubaida added that "all options are open, including martyrdom [suicide] operations."

Israelis are fed up with Hamas' continual rocket attacks -- more than 70 rockets fired in the last two days. The border city of Sderot is taking the brunt of them, and the Israeli government said this week it would "find a way to respond" to the attacks.

Gotta love the illogic, "We throw missles at you, you respond, and so you start the war!!" Sheesh, I've heard better excuses on kindergarten playgrounds.

I just hope Israel uses more discretion this time in their attacks, if they do attack again.

Israel Releases Lebanese Civilian Detained Near Border
BEIRUT, Lebanon — Israel released a Lebanese civilian on Thursday, a day after capturing him near the disputed Chebaa Farms area, U.N. and Lebanese security officials said.

Israeli troops seized Hisham Daleh, 35, as he was gathering herbs near the village of Chebaa on Wednesday, said the security officials on condition of anonymity for not being authorized to speak to the media.

When Daleh got close to an Israeli military post, troops detained him, they said.

What was the point of detaining this guy?

Gazans trapped in 'ghost town'
Gaza was turned into a virtual ghost town with residents hiding in fear as Hamas and Fatah fighters battled in the worst violence to date since they agreed to share power.

Shopkeepers closed their stores and schoolchildren and university students stayed home as the fighting continued.

Plumes of black smoke could be seen rising from buildings that had been set on fire and the Islamic University was attacked wtih mortars.

Virtually all Gaza's residents have been penned indoors for more two days now.

The few shopkeepers who did elect to stay open said they were harassed by armed men and forced to close shop.

Abu Mohammad El-Khodary owns a small supermarket in the Remal neighbourhood of the City, one of the most heavily affected areas in Wednesday's fighting.

"I don't understand what are they fighting over - the trash piling up in the streets?" he chided, in reference to the piles of accumulated rubbish that remain uncollected amid a week-long municipality protest.

"We all know what's going to happen next," he continued.

"Government officials will convene with the military commanders, and ask them to show restraint. The gunmen will withdraw from the streets. And for a few more weeks, things will be calm again. We're in a maelstrom and I can't really see a way out."

Torment for paperless Palestinians
Wissam Othman is a 14-year-old Palestinian boy living in Shatila refugee camp in southern Beirut, Lebanon. Like most teenagers, he has dreams.

He wants to be a computer engineer, to travel. He also has smaller dreams - to visit central Beirut, to walk along the capital's famous corniche. Most of all, he wants to finish school.

But it is unlikely that any of the wishes on Wissam's list will come true.

No matter how clever he is, he will have to drop out of school next year because he has inherited his father Majdi's legal status – zero.

"It is because I am a homeless Palestinian and the Lebanese government does not recognise me as a refugee here," Majdi says.

Majdi is a "non-ID Palestinian refugee", one of about 3,500 with no documents or ones that have expired.

Most of these refugees have lost their homes two or three times over, going from one country to another after their forced exodus from Palestine during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war - a flight Palestinians call al-Nakba (the disaster).

'Peace house' harms Palestinians
A group of Israeli soldiers sit underneath webbing next to a large new building on the road into H2, the Israeli-controlled area of Hebron in the southern West Bank.

Their job is to protect the apartment block that represents the newest Jewish settlement in the city.

It is a hive of activity as young settlers pour in and out with tools, dividing the 3,500sq.m of space into small flats to accommodate scores of new families.

For the settlers, the new building nicknamed Beit HaShalom (Peace House) is a vital strategic asset aimed at entrenching the Jewish community in Hebron, a city holy to both Muslims and Jews.

For the Palestinians it is another blow to their hopes of a state. It defies the Israeli government's stated aim of carrying out a partial disengagement from the West Bank following the withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005.

David Wilder, a New Jersey-born settler who has been in Hebron for 25 years and whose daughter is moving into the Peace House, says "of course there cannot be a Palestinian state. A child can look at the map and see that it would be suicide for Israel."

While all the West Bank settlements are illegal under international law, the Peace House has also been deemed illegal under Israeli law.

So, if this place is illegal even under Israeli law and Israel is supposed to be pulling settlers out of the West Bank, then why is it being guarded by Israeli soldiers and why is Israel allowing it?

When you stop trying to paint as victims those who specifically target civilians, cc, come talk to us about Israel's discretion.

Who did I call a victim? I didn't say anything about Hamas being the victim did I? The last time Israel went into Gaza after their lost soldier, they displaced thousands of innocents, shut down power and water, destroyed hospitals and clinics that were needed. Need I say more? If Israel wants to appear to appear as the extremists appear, then they need to use better discretion in attacking their targets. They didn't use very much discretion last summer in Lebanon either. IMO, by broadly attacking anything that appears to move, they become just like their enemy.
