SUBPOENA BLITZ PUTS HEAT ON AL IRS SEEKS INFO FROM TOP DONORS By CHUCK BENNETT June 19, 2008 -- The probe into the Rev. Al Sharpton's finances intensified this week, with the IRS sending out a flurry of subpoenas to his most generous corporate donors, The Post has learned. Anheuser-Busch, the brewer of Budweiser and Michelob, confirmed yesterday that it received a federal subpoena in connection to its charitable giving to Sharpton's National Action Network. "We have received a subpoena and are cooperating with the IRS," the company said in a statement. http://www.nypost.com/seven/06192008/news/regionalnews/subpoena_blitz_puts_heat_on_al_116165.htm Scientists feel sure of ice on Mars quote:

U.S. says exercise by Israel seemed directed at Iran By Michael R. Gordon and Eric Schmitt Published: June 20, 2008 WASHINGTON: Israel carried out a major military exercise earlier this month that American officials say appeared to be a rehearsal for a potential bombing attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. Several American officials said the Israeli exercise appeared to be an effort to develop the military's capacity to carry out long-range strikes and to demonstrate the seriousness with which Israel views Iran's nuclear program. More than 100 Israeli F-16 and F-15 fighters participated in the maneuvers, which were carried out over the eastern Mediterranean and over Greece during the first week of June, American officials said. http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/06/20/america/20iran.php Can you say 'Justice Hillary Clinton'? Michelle Obama's pander Clarice Feldman James Taranto calls out Michelle Obama for appalling pandering to the lie that the government deliberately injected black men with syphilis in the notorious Tuskegee Study. Yesterday, a New York Times article about her noted that she had killed a research project on the human papillomavirus, because of sensitivity to the widespread mistaken belief in the black community that that such research abuses happen to blacks. "The Times's account suggests that girls in Chicago were denied potentially lifesaving vaccinations because Michelle Obama pandered to racial paranoia instead of standing up for the truth. Is that why they pay her the big bucks?" It is a widely held belief in the fantasy land of victimology that the famous Tuskegeee experiments saw the government inject blacks with syphilis. Usually this urban myth is cited to assert that it is reasonable to believe that the government created AIDS as a targeted disease. McClellan said he did not think Bush was involved in a 2003 effort to blow the cover of CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson, whose husband had accused the administration of twisting intelligence to justify the Iraq war. But Bush, through his chief of staff, ordered McClellan to tell reporters that White House staffers Karl Rove and Lewis "Scooter" Libby were not behind the leak, even though they both turned out to be involved, McClellan told the House Judiciary Committee. http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/mcclellan_bush_cia/2008/06/20/106334.html Philadelphia Cardinal Rigali: One Must Believe What the Church Teaches to Receive Communion That leaves out Pelosi, Cuomo, Matthews, Kerry, Kennedy & alot of dem pols...that on a regular basis are disobedient to their own church leaders! United Airlines to require minimum stays from Oct. ***SAT. It is also raising its cheapest fares by as much as $90 one-way. The second-largest U.S. carrier said the moves are among a number of changes it is making to combat record high fuel prices. The Chicago-based airline has been among the most aggressive in the industry in pushing fares and fuel surcharges higher in recent months, and its latest policy could prompt other carriers to consider following suit. Starting Oct. 6, most United fares will require a one- to three-night or weekend-night minimum stay, spokeswoman Robin Urbanski said. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap_travel/20080620/ap_tr_ge/travel_brief_airlines_fares quote:

Obama's move will give him a big financial advantage in the general election. Democratic strategist Joe Trippi said he may be able to raise as much as $500 million, while Republican John McCain, if he sticks to his avowed intention to take public money, will receive $84.1 million from the government and won't be allowed to raise more. Late Night with Conan O'Brien ***SAT. ADD*** Yesterday on “The View,” Barack Obama’s wife Michelle did the "fist-bump" with all the co-hosts, and then she said the fist-bump is “the new high-five.” After hearing this, John McCain asked, “What the hell is a high-five?” The latest rumor is now that Hillary Clinton lost the Democratic nomination, she’s going to divorce Bill Clinton. Hillary’s exact quote was, “Just because my dream didn’t come true doesn’t mean his shouldn’t.” In California, Americans are flocking to Tijuana, Mexico to fill up their cars because gas is 50 percent cheaper there. How does that work? You’ve been neglecting your job trying to get a better job. You don’t get that job, so you to take a month off from the job you were trying to get out of and go on vacation. Imagine if you tried that with your boss. “Hey boss, listen — I’ve been looking for another job, and I’m exhausted. I want to take a month off. Here’s where you can send my checks.” Michelle Obama, Barack Obama’s wife, was on “The View” yesterday. She managed to do something on that show that no one else has ever done: She got a word in edgewise. President Bush spoke at a campaign rally in support of John McCain. They raised millions of dollars, most of which will be used to repair the damage of President Bush supporting John McCain at the campaign rally. Brokaw to lead 'Meet the Press' By MIKE ALLEN | 6/22/08 10:14 AM EST Tom Brokaw will replace Tim Russert as moderator of NBC’s “Meet the Press” through the November presidential election, the network announced today. NBC News President Steve Capus said: "A lot has been said in recent days about what 'Meet the Press' means to NBC News and to the nation. To have someone of Tom's stature step up and dedicate himself to ensuring its ongoing success is not only a testament to his loyalty to Tim, but his enduring commitment to NBC News and our viewers." NBC’s plans for a successor to Russert, who died two weeks ago after collapsing at the network’s Washington bureau, have been the subject of hot speculation. The interim plan gives network executives time to figure out how to preserve the show’s prestige and profitability for the long run. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0608/11249.html quote:

A telling choice by NBC News Mitch Proenza The biggest dilemma NBC had in announcing the sudden passing of Tim Russert was the lack of anyone in their news department with enough stature to "break the news". Who could they choose among their ranks? NBC when they passed on hyper-partisan Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews. Sure, they hosted many hours on MSNBC collecting stories and tributes from the many colleagues who were shocked and saddened by his sudden demise. But if there was any doubt about their smallness it was summarized by Chris Matthews need to create a storyline out of the Iraq war and how Tim Russert at the beginning of the second Iraq war, the exemplifier of small town American values held with the President over the fact that Saddam was thought to have WMD's. He, Matthews, was of course not duped. Nor did they turn to Brian Williams or Matt Lauer. You can figure that out for yourself. NBC required an alumnus, someone who was untainted by the stench of the petty, the bitter and the bias that has become NBC and particular MSNBC. They chose Tom Brokaw to do it as the only person affiliated to that once great network with the gravitas to report on the death of a titan of broadcast news. Tim Russert exemplified a hard-nosed sense of fair play when it came to the reporting of and the examination of political events. He managed to disguise his politics and view point and helped separate the facts from the fantasy and spin of both the two major political parties. At the end of the day it was the conservative media, both on radio and the internet that will give him his greatest tributes. http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2008/06/a_telling_choice_by_nbc_news.html NY Post: Olbermann Threatens to Quit if Not Made 'Meet the Press' Host quote:

Obama's Propagandistic Iconography: the Making of a Messiah By Warner Todd Huston | June 22, 2008 - 14:45 ET A photographic essay of Obama propaganda and the Media's willing assistance with it In America we have always been a skeptical people. One of our states even has a skeptical motto. Missouri calls itself the "Show Me State" proving that Missourians don't imagine they'd be apt to have the wool pulled over their eyes too readily. Consequently, when most American citizens look at their politicians they usually view them through a prism of skepticism and since the assassination of John F. Kennedy, our skepticism has almost bordered on the irrational.(Photo with Obama logo behind by Reuters) The American press has traditionally been even harder on our politicians and government than even the average American. Since the first days of our country, the press has savaged, doubted, dug up dirt and attacked our politicians, seeming to never believe a word the pols say. From George Washington to George Bush, the press has been at odds with politicians. Yet, for some unexplainable reason, the pretentiousness and presumption of Barack Obama is being allowed to pass uncommented upon. The media especially is allowing him to make all sorts of claims that they should never allow anyone else to get away with. They are unquestioning with his claim to be the candidate of "change" and the candidate that will "reach across the aisle." Neither claim can be substantiated by the man's career thus far. He does not reach across the aisle and he is responsible for no great program of change. A properly skeptical press would ask for the proof of Obmam's claims, but they merely smile and allow him to ramble on as if what he is saying is unassailable. Story Continues Below Ad ↓ But the media is especially compliant where it concerns the Obama campaign's graphic designs, displays that can be so easily compared to religious iconography or even old style communist propaganda. The overblown, obscenely reverential posters featuring Obama's upturned face in Jesus-like poses have gone uncommented upon by what should be a hard-nosed, doubtful media. These over-the-top graphic images in the form of posters and campaign literature design are amazing for their obvious propagandistic style, yet the media seem not to find any reason to be off put by the absurdity of these graphics. Nor have they noticed the campaign art's similarity to communist imagery. One can't help but wonder why this blatant re-use of the graphic style used by Stalin, Hitler and Mao has raised not the slightest question in the minds of the American media? http://newsbusters.org/blogs/warner-todd-huston/2008/06/22/obamas-propagandistic-iconography-making-messiah quote:
Encouraging illegals to 'game' the system Chad Groening - OneNewsNow - 6/20/2008 10:10:00 AMBookmark and Share Illegal alien road signAn immigration reform organization says a recent Supreme Court ruling has made it easier for some foreign nationals who overstay their visas to remain in the U.S. legally. In a 5-4 decision, the high court ruled that someone who is in the country illegally may withdraw a voluntary agreement to depart and continue to try to adjust his or her status while in the United States. The case involved a Nigerian national who overstayed his visa and later married an American woman. Authorities wanted to force him out of the country. But in ruling in the majority in the case, Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote an opinion favorable to his efforts to remain in the country. Ira Mehlman, a spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, explains the basics of the case. "This is a case where you have somebody who had accepted voluntary departure -- and then suddenly thought of a reason why he might be able to be allowed to stay and wants to withdraw his voluntary departure agreement." http://www.onenewsnow.com/Legal/Default.aspx?id=144376 Under the Marxist like Barry, illegals will bring cousins, uncles,aunts,grandmas,grandfathers..etc..& the fence will not be completed! Saudi Arabia Boosts Oil Supply, May Pump More Later (Update2) By Ayesha Daya and Glen Carey June 22 (Bloomberg) -- Saudi Arabia may raise its oil production beyond a planned 200,000 barrel-a-day increase in July if the oil market requires extra supply, Saudi Oil Minister Ali al-Naimi told consumers at a summit in Jeddah. Saudi Arabia's commitment to government and business leaders to pump 9.7 million barrels a day next month came after crude rose to a record $139.89 in New York on June 16. Saudi King Abdullah said at today's summit that his country, the world's biggest oil exporter, seeks ``reasonable'' prices. OPEC President Chakib Khelil said a Saudi boost is ``illogical'' because refiners don't need more crude. The International Energy Agency estimates that world oil use this year will climb 800,000 barrels a day, or 1 percent, as demand climbs in emerging markets. Stagnating production from Russia and the North Sea and disruption in Nigeria are also contributing to higher prices, which have touched off strikes, riots and accelerating inflation in nations around the world. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=agZ1gqbuhxpo US charitable donations top $300 bn in 2007 The stinginess of those great so called Christians Barry & Michelle adds nothing to this..they prefer socialism as opposed to their family sacrificing & maybe giving to the needy by the bare minimum of 10%/they give a mere pittance of the 10% minimum & seemingly towards Black Liberation Theology; esp. since Barry's book sales are at 7 times what they were about a year ago! 10 Concerns about Barack Obama It's policy. By William J. Bennett & Seth Leibsohn 1. Barack Obama’s foreign policy is dangerous, naïve, and betrays a profound misreading of history. For at least the past five years, Democrats and liberals have said our standing in the international community has suffered from a “cowboy” or “go-it-alone” foreign policy. While politicians with favorable views of our president have been elected in Germany, Italy, France, and elsewhere, Barack Obama is giving cause to make our allies even more nervous. This past Sunday’s Washington Post reported, “European officials are increasingly concerned that Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign pledge to begin direct talks with Iran on its nuclear program without preconditions could potentially rupture U.S. relations with key European allies early in a potential Obama administration.” Barack Obama’s stance toward Iran is as troubling as it is dangerous. By stating and maintaining that he would negotiate with Iran, “without preconditions,” and within his first year of office, he will give credibility to, and reward for his intransigence, the head of state of the world’s chief sponsor of terrorism. Such a meeting will also undermine and send the exact wrong signal to Iranian dissidents. And, he will lower the prestige of the office of the president: In his own words he stated, “If we think that meeting with the president is a privilege that has to be earned, I think that reinforces the sense that we stand above the rest of the world at this point in time.” Not only has his stance toward Iran caused concern among our allies in Europe, U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton called it, “Irresponsible and frankly naïve.” ↓ Keep reading this article ↓ Barack Obama’s position on negotiating with U.S. enemies betrays a profound misreading of history. In justifying his position that he would meet with Iran without precondition and in his first year of office, Barack Obama has said, “That is what Kennedy did with Khrushchev; that’s what Nixon did with Mao; what Reagan did with Gorbachev.” http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=MzQ4YTY4YjQyMzRjYjA5MGZlNDBiZTkwYmEyODg5NTc=&w=MA I would add #11 Michelle Obama's popping off at times! Gitmo torture -- where's the evidence? Chad Groening - OneNewsNow - 6/24/2008 10:55:00 AMBookmark and Share Kyndra RotundaMajor Kyndra Rotunda, a former Army lawyer and member of the Guantanamo prosecution team, says it's very irresponsible for supposed "human rights" groups to go the media and make allegations of torture by U.S. personnel on Islamic terrorist suspects without the evidence to back them up. Currently on inactive reserve, Rotunda has the unique perspective of having been face-to-face with some of the terrorist suspects incarcerated at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility. The author of Honor Bound: Inside the Guantanamo Trials recently read a report from a group known as Physicians for Human Rights which claimed that, upon examining 11 former detainees, they found evidence of torture and abuse by U.S. military health professionals. Rotunda says it was quite interesting that the advocacy group would not reveal the identities of any of these men it claimed to have examined. http://www.onenewsnow.com/Security/Default.aspx?id=149958 quote:

The ruling broke on party lines, the liberal Justices John Paul Stevens, David Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer siding with Kennedy. In their decision, the liberal justices ruled that a Louisiana law that sent 43 year-old man named Patrick Kennedy to death row in 2003 for raping his 8-year old stepdaughter was “cruel and unusual punishment.” http://www.townhall.com/columnists/AmandaCarpenter/2008/06/25/scotus_no_execution_for_child_rape Surprisingly even Obama feels child rapists should be considered to be toasted! quote:
Pelosi Supports 'Fairness Doctrine' by John Gizzi Posted: 06/25/2008 The speaker of the House made it clear to me and more than forty of my colleagues yesterday that a bill by Rep. Mike Pence (R.-Ind.) to outlaw the “Fairness Doctrine” (which a liberal administration could use to silence Rush Limbaugh, other radio talk show hosts and much of the new alternative media) would not see the light of day in Congress during ’08. In ruling out a vote on Pence’s proposed Broadcaster's Freedom Act, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-CA.) also signaled her strong support for revival of the “Fairness Doctrine” -- which would require radio station owners to provide equal time to radio commentary when it is requested. Experts say that the “Fairness Doctrine,” which was ended under the Reagan Administration, would put a major burden on small radio stations in providing equal time to Rush Limbaugh and other conservative broadcasters, who are a potent political force. Rather than engage in the costly practice of providing that time, the experts conclude, many stations would simply not carry Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and other talk show hosts who are likely to generate demands for equal time. At a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor yesterday, I asked Pelosi if Pence failed to get the required signatures on a discharge petition to get his anti-Fairness Doctrine bill out of committee, would she permit the Pence measure to get a floor vote this year. http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=27185 Gallup Daily: Obama, McCain Tied at 45% Barry never received a traditional double digit lead after he beat Clinton..wonder why & wonder when our 527s start advertising and the media's feet might get held to the fire for bias (that's what madam-do-nothing needs to look into) what'll start to happen to Barry's $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$--it'll drop off! Faked certificate suggests that Obama may not be "natural born" US citizen By Reuven Koret June 24, 2008 It is now a certainty that the "birth certificate" claimed by the Barack Obama campaign as authentic is a photoshopped fake. But now the senior spokesman of that Department has confirmed to Israel Insider what are the required features of a certified birth document -- features that Obama's purported "birth certificate" clearly lack. The image became increasingly suspect with Israel Insider's revelation that variations of the certificate image were posted on the Photobucket image aggregation website -- including one listing the location of Obama's birth as Antarctica, one with the certificate supposedly issued by the government of North Korea, and another including a purported photo of baby Barack -- one of which has a "photo taken" time-stamp just two minutes before the article and accompanying image was posted on the left-wing Daily Kos blog. http://web.israelinsider.com/Articles/Politics/12939.htm There is NO recession..that's a lie of the democrats & the drive-by media. My very 1st month of stock trading that ended Mon..had me as a rookie making several hundred dollars profit...& today although mostly in Manhattan on Wed. & away from computers I made $134 in a topsy turvey market due to a wishy washy fed! London Times On War- We're Winning (Despite Western Media) By Richard Newcomb | June 27, 2008 - 12:27 ET The NewsBusters staff noted yesterday that the increasingly good news in Iraq was not being covered by the US media. And it is good news. Contrary to the wishes of much, if not most, of the American media and their fellow believers in the Democratic Party, the United States and its allies are winning the war against Islamic aggression on the battlefields, although our courts and our media seem determined to do their utmost to turn this victory into defeat (see the New York Times coverage and the Supreme Court's decision in Boumediene). Most of the US media has placed its eggs into the basket of American defeat and support for the Islamic barbarians we are facing. So it is as welcome as it is rare to see that The Times of London today has a column that points our the indisputable fact that the West is winning. As The Times reports on the situation in Afghanistan and Iraq, reporter Gerard Baker begins his story by quoting the famous statement by World War I Allied commander Marshal Foch, "My centre is giving way. My right is in retreat. Situation excellent. I shall attack!” If only our political leaders and opinion-formers displayed even a hint of the defiant resilience that carried Marshal Foch to victory at the Battle of the Marne. But these days timorous defeatism is on the march. In Britain setbacks in the Afghan war are greeted as harbingers of inevitable defeat. In America, large swaths of the political class continues to insist Iraq is a lost cause. The consensus in much of the West is that the War on Terror is unwinnable. And yet the evidence is now overwhelming that on all fronts, despite inevitable losses from time to time, it is we who are advancing and the enemy who is in retreat. The current mood on both sides of the Atlantic, in fact, represents a kind of curious inversion of the great French soldier's dictum: “Success against the Taleban. Enemy giving way in Iraq. Al-Qaeda on the run. Situation dire. Let's retreat!” http://newsbusters.org/blogs/richard-newcomb/2008/06/27/london-times-war-were-winning-despite-western-media Pastor Challenges IRS, Urges Congregation Not to Vote for Dems quote:

Amid policy disputes, Qaeda grows in Pakistan By Mark Mazzetti and David Rohde Published: June 30, 2008 WASHINGTON: Late last year, top Bush administration officials decided to take a step they had long resisted. They drafted a secret plan to authorize the Pentagon's Special Operations forces to launch missions into the snow-capped mountains of Pakistan to capture or kill top leaders of Al Qaeda. Intelligence reports for more than a year had been streaming in about Osama bin Laden's terror network rebuilding in the Pakistani tribal areas, a problem that had been exacerbated by years of missteps in Washington and the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, sharp policy disagreements, and turf battles between American counterterrorism agencies. The new plan, outlined in a highly classified Pentagon order, was designed to eliminate some of those battles. And it was meant to pave an easier path into the tribal areas for American commandos, who for years have bristled at what they see as Washington's risk-averse attitude toward Special Operations missions inside Pakistan. They also argue that catching Bin Laden will come only by capturing some of his senior lieutenants alive. http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/06/30/america/30tribal.php quote:

Then let us examine Justice Anthony Kennedy's thinking in these cases. Kennedy was either the deciding "swing vote" or the determining factor in each one. The only case correctly decided was (1) District of Columbia v. Heller. Justice Scalia wrote the Heller decision, which holds that an individual right to keep and bear arms is guaranteed by the Second Amendment. He is one of four conservative justices on the court. Why I Support John McCain By Dennis Prager Last week, a conservative magazine reported that I would not vote for John McCain for president. The magazine based its claim on a column I had written in May 2007 about why I could not support John McCain for the Republican presidential nomination. The magazine was wrong. Though I did not support Sen. McCain in the Republican primaries, the moment he became the presumptive Republican candidate I endorsed him wholeheartedly for president of the United States. Having not been a supporter from the outset, perhaps my endorsement of John McCain will carry more weight among conservatives who are still undecided about whether to vote for John McCain. My bottom line is this: The gulf between John McCain and conservatives is miniscule compared to the gulf between John McCain and Barack Obama. This is true regarding virtually every issue of significance to America. The America that a President Barack Obama would shape, with the help of a Democratic Congress and a liberal Supreme Court, would be very dissimilar from the America shaped by a President John McCain. http://www.townhall.com/columnists/DennisPrager/2008/07/01/why_i_support_john_mccain VIDEO: Harry Reid Says "Coal Makes Us Sick" Bush administration delaying Medicare fee cut The Obamas and their Mortgage quote:

Michelle Obama also drew parallels with homosexual advocacy groups and the civil rights movement, referring to events "from Selma to Stonewall."++++ Speaking to the Democratic National Committee's Gay and Lesbian Leadership Committee last Thursday in New York City, Michelle Obama said her husband supports "a world where federal laws don't discriminate against same-sex relationships, including equal treatment for any relationship recognized under state law." "That is why he supports robust civil unions," she said. Inconvenient Truth for MSM: Black Ministers March Against Planned Parenthood By Ken Shepherd | June 30, 2008 - 12:41 ET Exit poll after exit poll in election after election shows the Democratic Party is staunchly supported by an overwhelming majority of African-American voters, many of whom are much more socially conservative on issues like abortion than their party leadership. The Democratic Party is also staunchly supported in primary battles and in fundraising drives by hard-core pro-choice liberals -- we're talking the same people who fought tooth-and-nail the federal ban on Partial-Birth Abortion. So when a group of black ministers conducted a protest march in Washington, D.C., last week to raise awareness of its criticism of Planned Parenthood, media outlets had the recipe, instantly, for stories about possible conflicts that could divide the Democratic Party coalition on substantive, hot-button issues. To perhaps no one's surprise here at NewsBusters, while the media covered the much hyped "Unity" rally in New Hampshire, the cable networks failed to even show up to shoot B-roll of Thursday's pro-life march on the DNC and RNC headquarters. Pastors battling pro-transgender ordinance Charlie Butts - OneNewsNow - 6/30/2008 10:00:00 AMBookmark and Share In Gainesville, Florida, 30 pastors have joined together to fight city hall. The pastors are showing their ire by launching a petition drive to overturn an action by the city commission. Cane Davis is with Citizens for Good Public Policy (CGPP). "On January 28, they passed an ordinance that basically gives women and men the right to utilize the restrooms of the opposite sex," Davis explains. The ordinance accommodates the transgendered population – meaning a man who believes himself to be a woman could use the women's restroom. Critics argues that rapists and child molesters who are faking transgenderism could take advantage of the ordinance. Yet there are only 12 known transgendered individuals in the area. Obama's Pro-Gay Flyers July 1, 2008 Barack Obama may be talking up his [so-called]Christian faith like he's doing today in Ohio and trying his best to appeal to Evangelicals with a “new kind of politics,” but he’s got a problem. Many of his positions are the same liberal positions that have turned off Evangelicals for years. Obama delivered another speech about faith Tuesday. He’s done a few of these concerning his faith and how it shapes his public policy. But Sunday his campaign and the Democratic Party were handing out pro-gay rights flyers at the Pride Festival in St. Louis. How is that going to play in the heartland? The Brody File has four flyers in its possession. You can view them by clicking here and here and here and here. These are larger files, so please give them a moment to download. Obama has passed the first hurdle by engaging people of faith and being willing to discuss his faith openly. He has passed with flying colors. But now comes the hard part. It’s called scrutiny. His political opponents believe that once Evangelicals really get a handle on what Obama is all about policy wise, then they’ll be turned off and they won’t buy in to the lofty rhetoric. http://www.cbn.com/CBNnews/401969.aspx quote:
Church Attendance Beneficial to Marriage , Researcher Says By Michael Gryboski CNSNews.com Correspondent July 02, 2008 (CNSNews.com) - Married couples who attend church together tend to be happier than couples who rarely or never attend services, according to sociologist W. Bradford Wilcox of the University of Virginia. Using three nationally representative surveys - the General Social Survey (GSS), the National Survey of Families and Households (NSFH), and the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) - Wilcox found that married church-going Americans across denominational and racial classifications were more likely to describe themselves as "very happy" than their non-religious counterparts. Couples who attended church regularly were also less likely to divorce than couples who seldom attended church services, Wilcox found. http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCulture.asp?Page=/Culture/archive/200807/CUL20080702a.html Obama Pays Female Staff Less Than Males U.S. Leads the World in Drug Abuse Starbucks closing 600 stores in the US My last time at Starbuck's was taking an ex-inmate just out for (high priced) ice coffees; I blame Starbuck's for poor/slow service & high prices vs. Dunkin Doughnuts w/ quick service w/ staff acting like a team... & fast food items like breakfast items, pizza, etc. Even McDonald's have much better tasting coffee. quote:
Obama campaign site: Free Islamic terrorist! E-mail addresses, phone numbers provided to 'take urgent action' JAFFA, Israel – A blog posting on Sen. Barack Obama's official campaign site urged Americans to take action to secure the release of imprisoned terrorist fundraiser Sami Al-Arian, comparing the controversial former professor to Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. The posting, which has been removed since publication of this story, is just a sampling of a large volume of racist, anti-Semitic and pro-Palestinian rhetoric published on the user-friendly MyObama community blog pages. The Obama campaign does not monitor all blog material, which is posted by registered users, but says it removes offending posts that are brought to the attention of the administrators. The Obamas are Just the Ghosts of Clintons Past By James Lewis It's amazing how much the Obamas are like the Clintons -- who are now attacked by the same people who used to kiss the ground they stepped on. Carl Bernstein talks about Hillary's "dark side." Bill, says an MSNBC blogger, is a serial liar. Well, thanks for performing your journalistic duty to the American people. It only took sixteen years for our media to tell us what was clear to the rest of the world before the Clintons ever got elected in 1992. This is typical of the dismal human judgment of liberals -- it takes them more than a dozen years just to figure out they've been suckered -- or at least, to tell the rest of us what they know. It's one of their repeated intellectual failures, this inability to judge human beings with open eyes, fairly and accurately. They only have two human categories: Good and Evil. To persuade them you are Good all you need is slick talk. Political con artists learn to do that very nicely. They are attracted to the liberal mind like bees to honey. Well, today the same folks are stepping in the same doo-doo again. Michelle Obama is just another Hillary Clinton; she's the hard-nosed ideologue in the marriage, the scrapper who only feels happy with a long enemies' list. Michelle is bitter the way Hillary is bitter. She literally sees the world in black and white, just like Hillary sees the world as feminist good and evil. Both of them believe their political opponents are Evil -- whether their enemies are defined as white folks in general, men in general, or only Republicans. When Hillary knowingly married Bill the Sex Addict, she just confirmed her prejudices about men in general. When Michelle married Obama the Messiah, she just confirmed her prejudices about whites and blacks in America. That is why these people never learn; they are mentally stuck. http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/07/the_obamas_are_just_the_ghosts.html IRS boosts mileage deduction New Iraq report: 15 of 18 benchmarks satisfactory quote:
Identifying perps as illegal immigrants (updated) Thomas Lifson It is almost an iron law of the MSM that the race and immigration status of criminals will not be identified if they are members of racial minorities or not in the country legally. It would seem the self-appointed guardians of race relations consider America so racist that mere mention of a miscreant's race or flouting of immigration laws would trigger race riots. But Adam B. U.S. Navy won't let Iran shut Gulf, will defend ships By Lin Noueihed Wed Jul 2, 7:04 AM ET ABU DHABI (Reuters) - The United States will not allow Iran to block the Gulf, which carries crude from the world's largest oil exporting region, and would defend its ships in the waterway, the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet said on Wednesday. "I believe ... Iran will not attempt to close the Strait of Hormuz and we will not allow them to close the Strait of Hormuz. I can't say it anymore clearly than that," Vice-Admiral Kevin Cosgriff, the commander of the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet, told a conference on Gulf naval security in Abu Dhabi. Barack Obama reportedly was peppered with questions by Franklin Graham – son of evangelist Billy Graham – about the presidential candidate's ties to Islam, his Christian baptism and whether he accepts Jesus as his savior, it has emerged. The new accounts, published by the Religion News Service and by the left-leaning magazine The Nation, contrast with major media reports describing Obama's closed-door meeting June 10 with Christian A-listers as friendly. "I can confirm Rev. Graham did indeed ask Obama about his personal faith. Because it was a private meeting, it is up to Obama if he wants to release any more information," Graham's spokesman, Jeremy Blume, told WND. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=68581 We need to see more REAL ministers take a stand & false preachers backing Barry like TD Jakes be brought down as frauds! quote:

Global Warming as Mass Neurosis July 1, 2008; Page A15 Last week marked the 20th anniversary of the mass hysteria phenomenon known as global warming. Much of the science has since been discredited. Now it's time for political scientists, theologians and psychiatrists to weigh in. What, discredited? Thousands of scientists insist otherwise, none more noisily than NASA's Jim Hansen, who first banged the gong with his June 23, 1988, congressional testimony (delivered with all the modesty of "99% confidence"). But mother nature has opinions of her own. NASA now begrudgingly confirms that the hottest year on record in the continental 48 was not 1998, as previously believed, but 1934, and that six of the 10 hottest years since 1880 antedate 1954. Data from 3,000 scientific robots in the world's oceans show there has been slight cooling in the past five years, never mind that "80% to 90% of global warming involves heating up ocean waters," according to a report by NPR's Richard Harris. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121486841811817591.html?mod=todays_columnists AMERICA LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT......... quote:

Dr. Gary Cass of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission has joined Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family, syndicated columnist Cal Thomas, and others who have questioned Barack Obama's recent attempts to woo Evangelicals away from their traditional support of Republican presidential candidates. Cass says while the presumptive Democratic presidential candidate is trying to pass himself off as a devout Christian, his beliefs are more in touch with Universalism. "I think that Obama is not a traditional evangelical Christian. He's confused about Christian theology or rejects it – one or the other. I think he is more of a Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish, Universalist than anything," Cass contends. http://www.onenewsnow.com/Election2008/Default.aspx?id=162248 See related stories above or use your CW search engine: Franklin Graham peppered Obama about ties to Islam Candidate confronted on Christian faith, asked whether he accepts Jesus as savior/ Is Obama devotee of monkey-god idol?/ Obama Religious Affairs Adviser: 'Jesus Was an Illegal Alien' How Same-Sex 'Marriage' Will Harm Christians quote:
Bauer advises Christians to be cautious of Obama Jim Brown - OneNewsNow - 7/3/2008 10:30:00 AMBookmark and Share An evangelical political activist thinks Christians should be very wary of Barack Obama's newly unveiled faith-based initiative proposal. The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee has announced he will create a new "Council for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships" if he becomes president. Under Obama's program, faith-based groups that receive a federal grant will not be allowed to "proselytize" the people they help or hire people based on their religious beliefs. Also, federal dollars that go directly to churches, temples and mosques can only be used on secular programs. Gary Bauer, president of American Values, says he is skeptical of any promises Obama makes to the faith-based community. "Senator Obama, in his own words, has said that he believes the Sermon on the Mount – the most important message that Christ ever delivered – ...led...him...to endorse the political agenda of the gay and lesbian movement in this country," he says. "Now I’ve read the Sermon on the Mount many, many times. There is nothing in it that requires an elected official to be in favor of the radical gay rights agenda," notes Bauer. http://www.onenewsnow.com/Election2008/Default.aspx?id=162812 quote:
Conservative Evangelicals Discuss Backing McCain -- Conservative evangelical leaders, who have been slow to warm to John McCain, met privately this week to discuss coalescing around the Republican's presidential bid. Mathew Staver, a conservative Christian activist, convened a meeting of about 90 conservative evangelical leaders Tuesday night in Denver. Many evangelicals have been wary of McCain's commitment to their causes and his previous criticisms of movement leaders, among other things. "Our shared core values compel us to unite and choose the presidential candidate that best advances those values," said Staver, who heads the Florida-based legal advocacy group Liberty Counsel and originally backed the candidacy of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee. "That obvious choice is Sen. John McCain. I think people left the meeting in unity the likes of which have not been evident through the primaries." http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/mccain_evangelicals/2008/07/02/109459.html The Obama's show no fruit, no evidence nor Christian hallmarks like giving generously to the ministry & to help others; it appears they only joined this Wright [so called] church to further their face time & to enhance his political career... In defense of Dobson Last week's clash between Dr. James Dobson and Barack Obama is but the latest skirmish in a war that dates back to the time of Christ. At issue: What is Christian truth? Does the true Christian put social peace ahead of his duty to make God's Law man's law? In a speech in June 2006, Obama, citing the book of Leviticus, which declares homosexuality an abomination, noted that Leviticus also says the eating of shellfish is an abomination and condones slavery. Moreover, Jesus' Sermon on the Mount is "a passage so radical that it's doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application." http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=68450 quote:
Election Could Decide Future of Abortion, Thompson Says By Kaitlynn Riely CNSNews.com Correspondent July 04, 2008 Arlington, Va. (CNSNews.com) - The 2008 presidential election is "foremost about the United States Supreme Court," the president of the National Right to Life Committee said at the group's annual convention Thursday. "It's not the economy, stupid," said Dr. Wanda Franz, referencing President Bill Clinton's 1992 campaign slogan. "No, for us, it's the Supreme Court." The power of the president to appoint judges to the U.S. Supreme Court, potentially changing the composition of the court and moving it to the right or left, is the "overriding issue" for this election, Franz said, speaking before an audience of pro-life advocates in Arlington, Va. http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCulture.asp?Page=/Culture/archive/200807/CUL20080704a.html quote:

Barack Obama, D-Ill., a longtime supporter of abortions throughout pregnancy, has abandoned its plan to call its outreach to young Christians evangelicals and Catholics the "Joshua Generation Project." WND had reported earlier a potential conflict when Obama started discussing his outreach because the term "Generation Joshua" already is trademarked by the Home School Legal Defense Association, the world's premier advocacy organization for homeschooling parents and students. The Obama campaign project first was reported by David Brody on CBN News, who said the campaign would launch sometime in June. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=68699 George Carlin , Newsweek's 'God Who Cussed' quote:
CNN’s Costello Omits Part of the Story About Obama’s Radical Abortion Votes By Matthew Balan | Carol Costello, CNN Correspondent | NewsBusters.orgIn a report on Monday’s "The Situation Room" purporting to clarify how Barack Obama "really voted on abortion" (as the graphic on-screen at right stated), CNN correspondent Carol Costello misconstrued the Democrat’s stance on legislation during his time in the Illinois state senate that would have protected infants that survived abortions. Besides the two votes specifically mentioned by Costello in the report, Obama also voted against it at the committee level, and when he was committee chair, denied a simple up or down vote on the legislation. The CNN correspondent also misrepresented the apparent pro-life stance of pro-abortion senators like "liberal Ted Kennedy" when the U.S. Senate voted on similar legislation. The bill passed by unanimous consent, so none of the senators actually voted yes or no on it. Substitute host John Roberts introduced the segment, and asked Costello, "what are the allegations and what's the truth about Obama's abortion record?" Though the CNN correspondent did present both sides of the debate on the issue, she left out key details about Obama’s voting record. Story Continues Below Ad ↓ First, Costello presented how the "charge" that Obama opposed a bill that would have protected unborn babies that survive abortion has been "circulating online for months," as if it’s just another one of those Internet rumors about the senator, like the one that claims that Obama is a Muslim. She then mentioned the criticism of "[a]nti-abortion conservatives like Former Senator Rick Santorum," and Bill Bennett, who have taken Obama to task for the vote. ~~Link On Loopy Liberal Obama & Barry Worship By MSM!~~ VIDEOS: Fred Thompson's Remarks At The National Right Life Conference -----HAPPY HOLIDAY FROM BROOKLYN, NY!!! Declaration of Independence - America's 'submission to God' Pete Chagnon - OneNewsNow - 7/4/2008 4:00:00 AMBookmark and Share Declaration of Independence smallAs Americans celebrate the 232nd anniversary of the signing of The Declaration of Independence, one scholar notes the document is more a submission to God than an assertion of rights. Dr. Larry Arnn is president of Hillsdale College in Michigan. In a recent article published on TownHall.com, Arnn calls The Declaration of Independence "a most remarkable declaration." He says that it is remarkable to remember that all who supported the document and all who signed the document were committing acts of treason punishable by death. But perhaps most remarkable was the documents four references to God. "The posture of The Declaration of Independence is an appeal to heaven. And so it's really a beautiful thing if you put the four places that God is mentioned together in the declaration. He's mentioned as the maker of the laws of nature and of nature's God – which makes him a legislator. He's mentioned as the supreme judge of the world – which makes him a judge. He's mentioned as divine providence – which makes him an executive. And he's mentioned as the creator – which is like being a founder," Arnn explains. http://www.onenewsnow.com/Legal/Default.aspx?id=165580 quote:
Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Baptists, and the Constitution! General piece by Guest: Don Boys Americans had won the war with England, written a Constitution under which they would be governed and eleven states had approved it. Virginia and New York approved it with the understanding that a Bill of Rights would be added. The Baptists in those states were the major promoters of a Bill of Rights to guarantee them and others added protection that they believed was missing from the Constitution. The two recalcitrant states were North Caroline and Rhode Island who rejected the Constitution. In fact, neither state joined the Union until the new government was in operation (under the new Constitution). It took threats from Congress (that the two states would be treated as foreign nations and forced to pay duty on trade items) that made them “see the light” and brought them into the Union. This young Republic was small with fewer than four million souls, 95 percent of whom lived on farms. America stretched from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi River and from Canada to Florida. We weren’t an awesome power yet, but we had made a believer out of King George III who was still licking his wounds, and trying to pay his war bills. http://americandaily.ws/index.php/article/1208 quote:
Operation Gratitude Doing 4th-of-July Patriotism Year-round By Kyle-Anne Shiver Happy Independence Day, dear readers! Operation Gratitude was founded in 2003, by one mother (That's right, just one), Carolyn Blashek. Carolyn has no children in the military. She doesn't come from a military family. She's not particularly political either. Shortly after 9/11, though, Carolyn got her patriotic calling. Like many Americans, she wanted desperately to do something. At first, she even tried to join up and go fight. Too late; she was already past fighting age. So, she went with Plan B. Watts and Armstrong Williams that they're conflicted about the upcoming presidential elections and are contemplating voting for Barack Obama have sent shock waves through the Republican Party. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=68779 It disgusts me to think how many fellow people of color, will simply vote for the Marxist-like Barry because his skin color is close to ours. It especially sickens me to think of TD Jakes and by Nov. 1000s of minority pastors will likely urge their parishoners in one way or another to cast a vote for America's decline...and turn out for a person who said his very 1st act would be to sign a pro-abortion bill; who supports gay marriage (& for 20 years was an active member of a church of hatred and racism---where openly gay and lesbian ministers in collars concievably handed out communion or performed numerous ministry duties) & who would meet willy nilly w/ America haters (& I don't mean his personal circle of bomber friends, and other radicals and anti-social misfits. It also kind of surprises me that jaws almost drop in Bed-Stuy and Brooklyn when fellow-minorities see my McCain cap & button(s)...some seem to not be able to speak but you can sense they want too. Yet as I walked on Fulton Street over the w/e..I see stores, about 40 or so/ with in maybe a 10 block radius w/ an Obama sign, often more than 1..yet I still patronize these merchants, although maybe I should boycott them. I often though get positive reactions too---had a black sister who yelled for me up the block from the Bed-Stuy library & say you're brave at least for wearing that, a teen of color who asked me for a button & the thumbs up (& of course shocked looks) that I get in Manhattan, where I spend alot of time.Folks have even stopped to talk w/ me in the streets, elevator & even a doctor's office. So, it's all not that bad. 1 person though worries about my safety, I don't I have always been bold & able to handle my affairs. If only some knew that I have voted for many blacks, latinos, asians, jews, men & women w/ an active leftist/democrat background post 9/11 & my getting saved. JUSTICE FOR DICK GRASSO Posted: 3:10 am July 5, 2008 New York's claims against former New York Stock Exchange head Richard Grasso are now moot, thanks to a pair of court rulings that Attorney General Andrew Cuomo properly has decided not to appeal. Gone with them are the last remaining tatters of Eliot Spitzer's reputation. Cuomo threw in the towel Tuesday after an appellate division panel dismissed the last remaining counts of Spitzer's 2004 lawsuit. Earlier, the New York Court of Appeals had dismissed the four most serious charges. http://www.nypost.com/seven/07052008/postopinion/editorials/justice_for_dick_grasso_118579.htm Barack Obama and Equal Pay for Women quote:
Tired firefighters battle 330 Calif. wildfires Jul 6, 8:43 AM (ET) By ROBERT JABLON LOS ANGELES (AP) - Firefighters got a gift of a mild, mostly windless night and a forecast for similar conditions Sunday as they attempted to protect thousands of Santa Barbara County homes from a huge wildfire, one of more than 300 taxing their energy and resources around the state. "The firefighters are stretched thin, they are exhausted," and some have gone days without sleep, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger as he visited a command post in the coastal region of Santa Barbara County, where nearly 2,700 homes were threatened by a four-day-old fire in the Los Padres National Forest. The blaze has blackened about 13 square miles. Fires have burned more than 800 square miles of land and destroyed at least 69 homes throughout California in the past two weeks. Tablet ignites debate on messiah and resurrection By Ethan Bronner JERUSALEM: A three-foot-tall tablet with 87 lines of Hebrew that scholars believe dates from the decades just before the birth of Jesus is causing a quiet stir in biblical and archaeological circles, especially because it may speak of a messiah who will rise from the dead after three days. If such a messianic description really is there, it will contribute to a developing re-evaluation of both popular and scholarly views of Jesus, since it suggests that the story of his death and resurrection was not unique but part of a recognized Jewish tradition at the time. The tablet, probably found near the Dead Sea in Jordan according to some scholars who have studied it, is a rare example of a stone with ink writings from that era — in essence, a Dead Sea Scroll on stone. http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/07/05/africa/06stone.php quote:

Aimed at "informing the American people about the truth regarding progress in Iraq and Afghanistan," the issue ads will feature veterans of the war describing the accomplishments they've seen since the buildup began in early 2007. Iran reportedly test-fires 9 missiles PARIS: One day after threatening to strike Israeli and U.S. interests if attacked, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards were reported Wednesday to have test-fired nine missiles, including one that Tehran claims has the range to reach Israel. State-run media, quoted by Western news agencies, said the tests near the Strait of Hormuz included long- and medium-range missiles, among them a new version of the Shahab-3, which Tehran maintains can hit targets 2,000 kilometers, or 1,250 miles, away. The reported tests coincide with increasingly tense negotiations over Tehran's nuclear program, which Iran says is for civilian purposes but which many Western governments suspect is meant for building nuclear weapons. http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/07/09/mideast/iran.php VIDEO: Iran missile test ratchets up regional tensions quote:

John McCain, the Republican seeking the presidency, said the tests demonstrate a need for effective missile defense, including missile defense in Europe and the defense system the U.S. plans with the Czech Republic and Poland. "Working with our European and regional allies is the best way to meet the threat posed by Iran, not unilateral concessions that undermine multilateral diplomacy," McCain said in a statement. http://www.theconservativevoice.com/ap/article.html?mi=D91QC0N84&apc=9008 Bush Lied? 550 Tons /Yellowcake Say NO! "We really cannot replace Iran's production - it's not feasible to replace it," Abdalla Salem El-Badri, the OPEC secretary general, said during an interview. Iran, the second-largest producing country in OPEC, after Saudi Arabia, produces about 4 million barrels of oil a day out of the daily worldwide production of close to 87 million barrels. Remembering Tony Snow Saturday, July 12, 2008 Tony Snow touched many lives in his roles as broadcast personality and White House press secretary. Here's how those who knew him remember him: "Laura and I are deeply saddened by the death of our dear friend, Tony Snow. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Jill, and their children, Kendall, Robbie and Kristi. The Snow family has lost a beloved husband and father. And America has lost a devoted public servant and a man of character. ... He brought wit, grace and a great love of country to his work. His colleagues will cherish memories of his energetic personality and relentless good humor. All of us here at the White House will miss Tony, as will the millions of Americans he inspired with his brave struggle against cancer." — President George W. Obama campaign outraged by New Yorker cover Jul 14 11:24 AM US/Eastern Obama Campaign Blasts ‘Terrorist’ Caricature Cover on ‘The New Yorker’ Barack Obama's campaign decried Monday a satirical cartoon on the cover of The New Yorker magazine showing the Democratic presidential hopeful wearing Islamic dress while his wife holds a Kalashnikov. The influential weekly defended its cover, titled "The Politics of Fear," as a critique of unfounded allegations during the campaign that have attempted to paint Obama, who is Christian, as a closet radical Muslim. "The New Yorker may think, as one of their staff explained to us, that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Senator Obama's right-wing critics have tried to create," Obama spokesman Bill Burton said. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=080714152414.ywhxksb5&show_article=1 What do you expect for an un-patriotic weakling & what a black neighbor said when he saw my McCain cap..that he could never vote for Barry & his wife dresses like a hooker??????? WHY 'KUMBAYA' CAN'T FIGHT TERROR By MICHELLE MALKIN Posted: 4:17 am July 16, 2008 IN all the brouhaha over the New Yorker's cover car toon satirizing Barack and Michelle Obama, a truly "tasteless and offensive" passage in the magazine's feature article got lost. The piece quotes Obama's recommendations for how to stop jihad, which he had previously published in a local Chicago newspaper eight days after 9/11. It's a self-parody of blind, deaf and dumb Kumbaya liberalism: "We must also engage, however, in the more difficult task of understanding the sources of such madness. The essence of this tragedy, it seems to me, derives from a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers: an inability to imagine, or connect with, the humanity and suffering of others. http://www.nypost.com/seven/07162008/postopinion/opedcolumnists/why_kumbaya_cant_fight_terror_120101.htm Matthews Worries 'Right' Will Turn New Yorker Cover into T-Shirt How Chuck Schumer Set Off a Bank Panic Why the Race is Tied Mass. The Sheen is off Obama Candidacy Rick Moran Is it possible that Obama's recent spate of flip flops has so damaged his reputation as a man of principle that the voters now see him as something less than a savior of America? If this New York Times poll is to be believed, that is exactly the case. By a 51-43 margin, voters now believe Obama says what people want to hear rather than what they think. Another question, asking whether Obama's positions have changed since he wrapped up the nomination show a 53-32 agreement. The wool has been pulled from people's eyes and Obama is now seen as, if not just another politician, certainly in somewhat more human terms. Jonah Goldberg calls this "Damage to the Brand." Indeed, one Democrat he talked to said"If McCain can turn him into a politician, Obama has lost his advantage." Breaking: What Else Jesse Jackson Said on That FNC Tape Exclusive: TVNewser has been sent the transcript of what Jesse Jackson said Sunday morning July 6, as he prepared for an interview on Fox & Friends Weekend. Below is the partial transcript we received in our tips box, and confirmed to be authentic by Fox News Channel representatives. Barack...he's talking down to black people...telling n—s how to behave. So, yes. Jesse Jackson did use the "N" word. But it was not directed at Barack Obama. Fox News and Bill O'Reilly have maintained there was more on the tape, but that the un-aired portion was not relevant to the issue at hand: about whether Obama was "talking down" to the black community. http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/fnc/breaking_what_else_jesse_jackson_said_on_that_fnc_tape_89392.asp

American flag disappears from Obama campaign jet Candidate's trademark 'O' replaces stars and stripes Posted: July 21, 2008 6:31 pm Eastern As part of a month-long aircraft makeover, a painted American flag was removed from the tail of Sen. Barack Obama's official campaign airplane and was replaced with the presidential candidate's trademark "O" symbol. The refurbished 757 was unveiled to members of the news media today, 41 of whom boarded the craft and took off to meet Obama in Amman, Jordan, where the presidential candidate will stop as part of a Middle Eastern and European tour. Obama traveled to the Mideast earlier this week on board a separate airplane. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=70236 The Obamas love the Obamas & seemingly hate/dislike the USA! Andrea on Obama Trip: 'What Some Would Call Fake Interviews' By Mark Finkelstein (Bio | Archive) July 21, 2008 - 20:00 ET Andrea Mitchell might be a doyenne of the liberal media, but she has her reporter's pride and principles, which have been trampled by the way the Obama campaign has managed the media during the candidate's current trip to Afghanistan and Iraq. Mitchell let loose on this evening's Hardball, speaking of "fake interviews," and decrying that she was unable to report on pertinent aspects of the trip because the media has been excluded and that the video released is unreliable because it's impossible to know what has been edited out. Before Mitchell made her displeasure known, Roger Simon of Politico, Chris Matthews's other guest during the segment, depicted the images coming out of the war zone as all Obama could have dreamed of. ROGER SIMON: The optics are all very good on this trip. I mean, the beginning of this trip is so good, Senator Obama might just want to call off the end and just keep running the videotape. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/mark-finkelstein/2008/07/21/andrea-obama-trip-what-some-would-call-fake-interviews Half See Pro-Obama Bias and Say Media Make Economy Seem Worse South Dakota Law Goes Into Effect: Women Must be Told They Are "Terminating the Life of a Whole Separate, Unique Living Human Being" quote:

Less understandable is why an idea so irresponsible - in economic terms, in fact, just this side of deranged - attracted so little ridicule. Gore proposed last week that the United States "commit to producing 100 percent of our electricity from renewable energy and truly clean carbon-free sources within 10 years." Edwards Admits Sexual Affair; Lied as Presidential Candidate In an ABC NEWS NIGHTLINE Interview, Edwards Reveals He Cheated, But Didn't Father Child By RHONDA SCHWARTZ and BRIAN ROSS August 8, 2008 John Edwards repeatedly lied during his Presidential campaign about an extramarital affair with a novice filmmaker, the former Senator admitted to ABC News today. Hunter-Edwards In an interview for broadcast tonight on Nightline, Edwards told ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff he did have an affair with 44-year old Rielle Hunter, but said that he loved only his wife, Elizabeth. "Two years ago I made a very serious mistake," Edwards said, blaming the prominence of being a vice presidential candidate. "All of which fed a self-focus, an egotism, a narcissism that leads you to believe that you can do whatever you want," he said. http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=5441195&page=1 quote:
John Edwards' statement By POLITICO STAFF | 8/8/08 5:16 PM EST The dishonest dog will be on ABC later tonight! STATEMENT OF SENATOR JOHN EDWARDS August 8, 2008 Chapel Hill, North Carolina In 2006, I made a serious error in judgment and conducted myself in a way that was disloyal to my family and to my core beliefs. I recognized my mistake and I told my wife that I had a liaison with another woman, and I asked for her forgiveness. Although I was honest in every painful detail with my family, I did not tell the public. When a supermarket tabloid told a version of the story, I used the fact that the story contained many falsities to deny it. But being 99% honest is no longer enough. I was and am ashamed of my conduct and choices, and I had hoped that it would never become public. With my family, I took responsibility for my actions in 2006 and today I take full responsibility publicly. But that misconduct took place for a short period in 2006. It ended then. I am and have been willing to take any test necessary to establish the fact that I am not the father of any baby, and I am truly hopeful that a test will be done so this fact can be definitively established. I only know that the apparent father has said publicly that he is the father of the baby. I also have not been engaged in any activity of any description that requested, agreed to or supported payments of any kind to the woman or to the apparent father of the baby. It is inadequate to say to the people who believed in me that I am sorry, as it is inadequate to say to the people who love me that I am sorry. In the course of several campaigns, I started to believe that I was special and became increasingly egocentric and narcissistic. If you want to beat me up – feel free. You cannot beat me up more than I have already beaten up myself. I have been stripped bare and will now work with everything I have to help my family and others who need my help. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0808/12405.html quote:

(AP) - Republican presidential candidate John McCain is calling for an emergency meeting of G-7 nations to deal with Russia's attacks on Georgia McCain said Monday that Moscow appears intent on toppling the Georgian government. McCain also said NATO's North Atlantic Council should convene an emergency session to demand a ceasefire. He said the Council should begin discussions on both the deployment of an international peacekeeping force to South Ossetia and the implications for NATO's future relationship with Russia. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D92G4B0G0&show_article=1 Georgia President: Russia Wants Our Energy Route quote:
The Left sneers at suggestions for a strong response to Russia Rick Moran The criticism by the left to some suggestions coming from conservatives that our response to the Russians for their now naked aggression in Georgia is analogous to the reaction to the Sudentenland or some other pre-World War II example of appeasement only shows them to be devoid of any ideas to deal with the crisis beyond the call "take it to the UN." Matthew Yglesias on Bill Kristol's column: Now of course Vladimir Putin really is a bad actor. And it should be said that as of today Russia seems to be going beyond anything that could be justified as a response to Georgia's provocation in South Ossetia. But the habit that the Kristols of the world have of deploying this kind of rhetoric is infuriating. If Kristol really thinks we should go to war with Russia, he's being crazy and irresponsible. If he doesn't think that, then he has no business busting out these Munich analogies. Nowhere in his column does he propose a single concrete step with any meaningful chance of altering the situation - it's all dedicated to mocking doves, but utterly lacking in viable alternatives. http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2008/08/the_left_sneers_at_suggestions.html quote:
Russia's Invasion Same as Hitler's Monday, August 11, 2008 11:44 AM By: Dick Morris & Eileen McGann On Oct. 3, 1938, Adolf Hitler's armies marched into Sudetenland, a part of Czechoslovakia. Germany said it was responding to separatist demands from the large German population that lived there and that she was merely honoring their desire for reunion with Germany. Hitler's tanks took over a vital part of an independent country that had largely rejected his overtures and allied itself with the West. Neither Britain nor France nor the United States did a thing to stop him. On Aug. 7, 2008, Vladimir Putin's armies marched into South Ossetia, a part of Georgia. Russia said it was responding to separatist demands from the large Russian population that lived there and that she was merely honoring their desire for reunion with Russia. http://www.newsmax.com/morris/russia_invades_georgia/2008/08/11/120902.html quote:
The War in Georgia Is a War for the West By MIKHEIL SAAKASHVILI August 11, 2008; Page A15 As I write, Russia is waging war on my country. On Friday, hundreds of Russian tanks crossed into Georgian territory, and Russian air force jets bombed Georgian airports, bases, ports and public markets. Many are dead, many more wounded. This invasion, which echoes Afghanistan in 1979 and the Prague Spring of 1968, threatens to undermine the stability of the international security system...... The Kremlin designed this war. Earlier this year, Russia tried to provoke Georgia by effectively annexing another of our separatist territories, Abkhazia. When we responded with restraint, Moscow brought the fight to South Ossetia. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121841306186328421.html?mod=opinion_main_commentaries WALL STREET JOURNAL: Kremlin Capers quote:
Putin Makes His Move The details of who did what to precipitate Russia's war against Georgia are not very important. Do you recall the precise details of the Sudeten Crisis that led to Nazi Germany's invasion of Czechoslovakia? Of course not, because that morally ambiguous dispute is rightly remembered as a minor part of a much bigger drama. The events of the past week will be remembered that way, too. This war did not begin because of a miscalculation by Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili. It is a war that Moscow has been attempting to provoke for some time. The man who once called the collapse of the Soviet Union "the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the [20th] century" has reestablished a virtual czarist rule in Russia and is trying to restore the country to its once-dominant role in Eurasia and the world. Armed with wealth from oil and gas; holding a near-monopoly over the energy supply to Europe; with a million soldiers, thousands of nuclear warheads and the world's third-largest military budget, Vladimir Putin believes that now is the time to make his move. Georgia's unhappy fate is that it borders a new geopolitical fault line that runs along the western and southwestern frontiers of Russia. From the Baltics in the north through Central Europe and the Balkans to the Caucasus and Central Asia, a geopolitical power struggle has emerged between a resurgent and revanchist Russia on one side and the European Union and the United States on the other. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/08/10/AR2008081001871.html VIDEO: Georgian conflict has serious energy implications for the U.S.

Obama Lied About Abortion Record by Amanda Carpenter Newly discovered documents from the Illinois state archives prove Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has lied about his opposition to legislation requiring health officials to provide care to babies who survived abortion as an Illinois state senator. Obama has claimed again and again he would have supported his state’s version of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act if it included language to protect abortion rights guaranteed by Roe v. Wade and viciously attacked conservative opponents who suggested otherwise. Now there’s documentation showing Obama did vote against a version of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act that contained language to protect abortion rights identical to the bill that passed 98-0 in the U.S. Senate. “We have a smoking gun committee report,” the National Right to Life Committee’s Legislative Counsel Susan Muskett said. NRLC posted the unearthed documents from the Illinois senate archives Monday. http://townhall.com/columnists/AmandaCarpenter/2008/08/12/obama_lied_about_abortion_record quote:
Obama Will ‘End 30 Years of Ultra-Right Rule,’ Communist Paper Says Tuesday, August 12, 2008 By Fred Lucas, Staff Writer (CNSNews.com) – The Communist Party USA’s newspaper is defending Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama against potential defectors on the left, saying his candidacy represents a “broad multi-class, multicultural movement.” In a July editorial, “Eye on the Prize,” the People’s Weekly World, the official newspaper of the Communist Party USA, admonished anyone on the left who might consider abandoning Obama. “Barack Obama is not a left candidate,” the editorial said. “This fact has seemingly surprised a number of progressive people who are bemoaning Obama’s ‘shift to the center.’ It’s sad that some who seek progressive change are missing the forest for the trees. http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=33971 Obama's pentagon & NYPD bomb throwing friends, white hating pastor & congregation that he trained under....the Black Panthers featured 2xs on his site...and unproud American wife has terrorists, Castro, Chavez and others are salivating. A Catholic Case Against Barack Obama Tuesday, August 12, 2008 By Patrick J. Buchanan In the Pennsylvania primary, Sen. Barack Obama r(D-Ill.) rolled up more than 90 percent of the African-American vote. Among Catholics, he lost by 40 points. The cool liberal Harvard Law grad was not a good fit for the socially conservative ethnics of Altoona, Aliquippa and Johnstown. But if Barack had a problem with Catholics then, he has a far higher hurdle to surmount in the fall, with those millions of Catholics who still take their faith and moral code seriously. For not only is Barack the most pro-abortion member of the Senate, with his straight A+ report card from the National Abortion Rights Action League and Planned Parenthood. He supports the late-term procedure known as partial-birth abortion, where the baby’s skull is stabbed with scissors in the birth canal and the brains are sucked out to end its life swiftly and ease passage of the corpse into the pan. http://www.cnsnews.com/public/Content/Article.aspx?rsrcid=33982 Michael Savage vows to take Islam fight to Supreme Court quote:
Bozell Column: Our Sick Edwards-Excusing Media By Brent Bozell (Bio | Archive) August 12, 2008 - 16:04 ET "No One Home Breck Boy..Take Your Gift to Your Satanic New Age Mistress! You know there are some in the liberal media who have simply lost touch with reality when the headline reads "John Edwards Cheats on Wife With Cancer" and they ask with great detachment whether he'll be able to run for office again soon. These people's morality is so bizarre that they showed more outrage at John McCain featuring a picture of Paris Hilton in a commercial for two eye-blinks than for Edwards catting around on a dying spouse. For months (and more hotly in the last two weeks), the National Enquirer has been trickling out the goods they collected on John Edwards having an affair and possibly a love child with campaign aide Rielle Hunter, staking out Edwards in a California hotel – and how he hid in the bathroom to avoid them. There's a quick campaign ad on the two parties in a nutshell. Republican George Bush took on Osama bin Laden and took out Saddam Hussein. Democrat John Edwards hides in a bathroom from the tabloids.
