I want people to list all the common acronyms that pertain specifically to these threads (science and origins) for new comers to help them understand us better. Here are a couple to get you started. Thanks. UCD = Universal common decent (the notion that all organisms share a common ancestor PCD = Primate common decent DI = Discovery Institute TOE = theory of evolution EOE = Edge of evolution (after a book my Michael Behe concerning the limitations of evolution) IC = Irreducibly complex (Coined by Michael Behe) SC = specified complexity (Coined by William Dembski) CSI = Complex specified Information (Same as SC) ID = Intelligent Design OET = Old earth theorist YEC = Young Earth Creationist

Dang, I forgot all about RM and NS and you beat me to some others . Btw, I think you meant to say SC, not SI (I think you got CSI confused with SC).

Don't forget GTE. I have just been accused by drmark of not getting "it". Does anyone here know what GTE is?

GRGS= Good Religion, Good Science (L)UCA= (Last) Universal Common Ancestor GTE= General Theory of Evolution (which is quite grandiose in some worldviews)
