on this board.

I have spent a lot of time on these boards and I was once a moderator on here as well. Having said all of that, I have come to a conclusion that some individuals that post on here suffer from a (or several) mental illness of some sort and or are just plain crazy.

Anyone else ever feel that way?

I don't know about mentally ill or unstable, but I do sense that many folks that claim to be Believers are not. There is a great many folks that feel it is ok to sin (Wrong), that God does not heal anymore (Wrong), that mentally ill folks get a pass on salvation, etc. etc.

Having said that there are many many sincere Believers on the boards that are seriously seeking more of God, and the way to accomplish such.

Thanks
RC

Well, bring them all in

A hugh part of the ministry of Jesus was reaching out to the possessed, oppressed, mentally ill.

I get on here sometimes when I am bouncing around

If I were you, I'd be putting on a flame retardant suit right about now!

Oh, and I'd appreciate it if you'd stop talking about me like that!

There is absolutely a difference and if you were really crazy you'd know it!

Sadey is a self described screecher - A harsh, shrill cry

Whereas I am only a squeaker - a short, sharp, shrill cry

So there!

Especially the election 2008 one

Suggestion: do some reading about personality types in online communities. On the lighter side, google the Flame Warriors home page (I'm not linking cause it's possible there's something on that site that violates the linking rules here).

I'm thinking you're likely referring to folks with Borderline Personality Disorder, or narcissism, or people in the autistic spectrum who don't show empathy?

It's just that there are certain conditions where there would be a tendency for a person to behave in certain ways relationally and that would likely extend online. And narcissistic personality disorder is one of those conditions.

Maybe you think I'm paranoid instead of narcissistic.

That's fine. Paranoid people have enemies too, ya know.

I'm not sure it's necessarily mental illness (I was married to someone like that), but ...... yes, there are most certainly people who post who think THEIR way of thinking is THE ONLY way of thinking, and EVERYBODY ELSE is crazy or not getting the point or understanding ...... OR they think that everyone but them is a bunch of low-number IQ'ers.

Annoying doesn't begin to describe that type of mentality. If they are so brilliant, is it really necessary to run around making posts about how brilliant you are? Wouldn't it come through naturally????? Just asking......

(thank you for this venting thread, I needed it....)

Thank you.

I would consider it a compliment to be considered nuts by some who post here.

Jesus did say we are a preculiar people.

Odd for God.

The world is supposed to think we are a little off our rockers.

Now, as far as us thinking that way of other christians, well, I think there is a fruit of the spirit that cures that....patience, or how it is interpreted, longsuffering.

I have found that if there is a lack in my walk God pays a lot of attention to it. So, maybe if you think a lot of people are nuts in here, God is trying.....

to

tell

you

something.....
