Well, Autumn has officially arrived here. I am finding myself wearing my windbreaker almost daily now and have turned on the heat also.

Where is everyone??

The weather has been pretty typical around here lately mid 60's to mid 70's. The tree's have just passed their peak for fall colors too. Now starts the dreary days and raking. I might just skip the raking and run the mower over it all and mulch it!

Blessings,

Garsy

We woke up to temp around 51 degrees this morning. Hey thats pretty warm for this time of day. Only suppose to reach 57 degrees, with clouds all day. It rainned overnight. All the tree color is at it's peak and it's so pretty outside. Hubby mowed the leaves yesterday, so the yard looks pretty good. But there are more to come. Our leaf blower took a dump last fall...so we gotta go buy a new one this year. Bummer..I liked that one. A leaf blower is a must in our yard. We have a large yard, and I'm not willing to rake it anymore. We took our last boat ride Sat. Now the boat is out of the water, and stored for the winter
I also got all my summer stuff in the yard brought inside, and stored in the attic. Even covered up the CA unit. Guess the outside is all ready for winter.

I'm thinking one more mowing and we'll be done here. I just rake all the leaves into my gardens and next spring till them into the soil! Yummy free food for my garden soil and free mulch for my bulbs and other plants.

It's cooled off considerably in the last few days and we are expecting a hard freeze over the weekend.

The kids are consistently wearing heavier clothing and coats to school now and then forgetting them in their lockers when they go to come home. Last Friday I pulled 3 jackets/hoodies out of my 4th graders locker, and 2 out of my 2nd graders.

Blessings,

Garsy

Yup, it's getting cold around here also. Tues. morning was 31 degree's only! Everything was white with frost. Hubby even had to scrape his windshield before he left for work. This morning it was 41 degree;s when we woke up.
Got all the winter clothes out of the attic yesterday. I'm washing it all up today before I hang it all in the closet. All them bulky sweaters and flannel shirts sure do take up alot of room.

It's getting a lil chilly here. I'm liking it for the most part. Yesterday night I set outside and talked on the phone a bit and when I came in it felt as if my feet were freezing, but I hadn't noticed that outside...

We had frost warnings out for last night and I didn't cover my tomatoes. Total loss of anything that was left on the vine. The mums are doing fine tho still and the hollyhocks in my front garden. When we left this morning for carpool duties it was 28 degrees outside!!!!!! BURRRRR! I think it may have gotten into the low to mid 50's at the warmest point of our day! But my electric bill is down a full $18 from September's bill! All because we didn't run the air conditioner at all last month!

Blessings,

Garsy

It's 67º here and should drop to the low 50's overnight. We had a front come through today and the wind is still blowing. Every now and then we get a gust and the sliding glass door rattles in it's frame.

Hiya Beckey, Popsi, Barb, Garsy and Alpha!

Its been chilly here, now that would not be so bad except the wind makes it quite brisk as as well!

It will not be long now before there is snow!

Tis a COLD evening in NE Indiana! Last I looked it was about 40 outside but that was an hour ago. Add to that a nasty brisk wind. Glad to be inside tonight!

I'm so not ready to even think about snow yet, but the weather folk did mention the possibility of flurries tonight.

YUCK!

Blessings,

Garsy
