I had a Boston accent, oh my!

One of these days I will put my voice on this thing somehow.

BTW Sharon-Marie, I just have to comment on your latest picture, you look very pretty!

Also, there's a drive through coffee place down the road and the owner is from Boston and she and I love to talk baseball. Her accent is too cool. Couldn't tell you what area dialect she has, but she's a neat lady who loves to talk and I love to listen, so that works out pretty good.

Now Christi, I found on that same site some baseball talk wit the Boston accent as well.

Mike, thank you!

Your accent only came out periodically . . . like when you were saying the letter combination of "a" with a consonant; like "car," "talk" . . . things like that.

WOW, now thats ironic, because I tried very hard to add R's to my vocabulary during my teens. I have decided that is as far as I go though. Words like interestin' I just do not have the desire to change at all.

Okay, now I gotta know...what does Mike sound like?

I guess that's a question for you, SharMar, since you've talked in person. Does he have a heavy accent?

I'm asking because accents fascinate me and they always have. A friend of my friend's dad is from Australia and my friend and I used to love hanging out with him to hear him talk.

Also, there's a drive through coffee place down the road and the owner is from Boston and she and I love to talk baseball. Her accent is too cool. Couldn't tell you what area dialect she has, but she's a neat lady who loves to talk and I love to listen, so that works out pretty good.

We love accents, too. I will sometimes put in the interviews from the extra stuff on the extended Lord of the Rings dvds just to listen to the accents.

I loved that they put authentic spanish accents in the new Narnia movie.

I love African accents, too, and Jamaican.

hmmm...maybe I just love to hear people talk!

It wasn't really that noticeable; just slightly.

Hmmm, I tend to like Southern Accents, Irish Accents, Russian Accents and the Wisconsin accent isn't all that bad either.

That must have been more than 15 minutes into it or my house was just too loud to hear it. I'll have to look for that again for sure.

I highly recommend seeing Prince Caspian. Everytime they use the CGI it gets better. You will love the animals, the centaurs, the friendly and loyal minotaur with a sense of humor. Aslan is bigger and better. The story line is slightly changed, but fine for the genre. The river god and the trees will astound you!

I love to people watch. Let's make plans!

edited to fix the quotes. Someday soon, I promise, I'm going to learn to preview before posting.

I don't recall what it was rated, but is it something I'd need to watch when my 3 year old is asleep?

Tell me when and where.

Oops Christi, looks like I was wrong, while the site does have a thing on the Red Sox, it is not with an accent at all.

It's just in the theaters starting this weekend. I would recommend going to see it first before taking the 3 year old. Some 3 year olds I know would be fine with it, but some wouldn't. And if my children were still that young I would require that they have the book read to them first. But likely I wouldn't let them see it until they were older. My 10 year old has not yet seen the LOTR movies, but they are even scarier in my opinion.

The violence in PC is pretty real, but not gory. And some of the special effects might be rather scary for the young ones.

It is rated PG.

It sticks very close to the book, in my opinion.

Great show. But I'm a geek, what can I say?

Hey, Mike! Good to see you here.

Not to make you uncomfortable or anything, but just as a matter of record and interest; my ddh's name was Michael. Everyone but me called him Mike.

Esther, thanks. I don't let her watch anything that's scary at all, so we'll save all these movies for later.

zmanfan...get a babysitter and go see it in the theater. It's worth it. Then buy the dvd when it comes out in December to show the baby when he/she is older.

Esther, great idea.

Believe it or not, I've always wanted to see the LOTR movies, but haven't seen any of them.

Oh, dear. We are ssooooo different, then. Had you read the book before seeing it???

The LOTR movies...I still re-watch them. But the first one I saw...my son took me to see it. I spent 45% of the movie with my hands over my face. The rest of the movie I spent squeezing his hand very tight!

He was bruised.

NOT bored.
