No, in fact I even forgot to watch the traditional GD movie, appropriately titled "Groundhog Day". I was so sad when I realized it.

did you leave the heathen cupids in Indiana, too? We'll be watching for them on Thursday.

In Saudi they have banned roses and scarlet colored items. These items suggest love and anyone not married had better not even Think about getting their darling something red or rosey. Saw this on the news today.

That's not allowed in our state. No cupcakes! Cuts down on any holiday being celebrated, unless you can make celery festive.

I think Valentine's Day is a religious holiday, right? What with the saint and all. Just like St. Patty's.

Hey, did anyone realize that if you rearrange the letters in Santa, it spells Satan?

If anyone's already said that, I apologize. This thread was so long I just skipped to the end and posted blind without bothering to read what's already been said by you good people I figured that whatever you all said wasn't worth reading anyway, and I just couldn't wait to enlighten you.

Yep, it's been posted before. In many variations.
And yep, What we have all said isn't worth reading anyway. LOL.

I know. Hey, I'm obsessive-compulsive about reading entire threads before I post. I was just joking, actually.

LOL. then that was a qualified statement "that nothing posted was worth reading." lol.

But it does show me how "lightly" we do take the things of God.
But, that's for November I guess. lol.

I'm sure we'll all start to get serious by the time November rolls around. If this thread is still here, anyway!

(seriously that gets discussed? Santa=satan? I'd say wow, but not much surprises me anymore)

oh yeah! There was a big thread one year about how if you mix up the letters Santa spells Satan.

and then...

quote:

ORIGINAL: i_am_just_me

and if you switch the letters of ELVIS around it spells EVILS...

so Elvis playing a Satanic Santa is Evil...

But Santa spelled inside-out and sideways is Elvis.

Don't ask me to 'splain that. It should be enough that I let you know!

so now you are caught up on santa, satan, and elvis...

I'm on the East Coast and Got Up Early so I'm on before all of you... so I can be the first to officially welcome you to Valentine's day.

I learned two new things this year:

1) No matter what you need, avoid Super Wal*Mart after work on Feb. 13.
2) Regardless of the circumstances and even if it means eating tuna from a can, don't eat out on the evening of Feb. 14.

This week I learned that Pres Washington only had two of his natural teeth left when he was voted in. I also learned that Lincoln, while still a lawyer, got into trouble telling jokes to another lawyer during a trial.

Happy Presidents weekend to y'all as well!

Mrs. K, and the other second grade teachers at ther school, make groundhog cupcakes every year.

Chocolate frosting, mini-marshmallow teeth, mini vanilla wafer ears, two blue M&Ms for eyes and a red one for the nose.
