I'd like to hear a new album of classic hymns from them. Of course it really wouldn't matter to me. I'd probably buy an album of them humming.

I'm thinking it's probably about time for Series 2 to come out. If so I'm hoping it's a combination of classic hymns and remakes of some of their older songs. Well that's pretty much what Series 1 was so chances are Series 2 would follow suit.

The Kingdom Heirs performed at our church last Wednesday and they made a lot of new fans. I have followed them for abour 13 years. They are my favorite SG quartet.

This is reaching way back in the vault, but check out this old KH clip.
The lineup is tenor Rick Strickland, a young-looking Clayton Inman singing lead, a Dr. Phil-esque Steve French on baritone, and bass Bob Caldwell.

I have seen the lineup in the clip many times. Brings back memories of sitting in the freezing cold at Dollyworld in the winter (before KH moved to an indoor theater).

Not long ago there was a death in our community. This man was retired, loved to camp in Pigeon Forge and he and his wife were on the front row, every time the Kingdom Heirs sang. When the Kingdom Heirs traveled, they hooked up their camper and went to hear them sing. Never missed being in the front row, every event, and was a great friend to the group.
Dennis Murphy attended the service. I know the family was touched that he and his wife Angie took the time to drive 4 hours for the service in the middle of winter.
I think this speaks volumns for the type of men the Kingdom Heirs are.
My sincere thanks to them.

The first Kingdom Heirs song I remember hearing was The Test of Time but it wasn't my favorite. I think they played it too much but I love the group now. I won a CD of theirs on The Gospel Greats a few years ago and decided they were pretty good. This last year at NQC, I saw them perform and heard The Rock's Between a Hard Place and You. That is one of my current favorite songs.

I just got home from a Kingdom Heirs concert. They again confirmed my ongoing belief that Arthur Rice is the best lead singer in Southern Gospel (and the rest of the group ain't shabby either).
I was impressed by their new piano player, Andy Stringfield. He doesn't overplay, but still makes his presence known to compliment the overall blend.
My group was also on the program. We weren't 100%, unfortunately. I can barely talk right now (which shouldn't affect my piano playing, I suppose, although I did forget what key I was in a couple of times), and some of the singers were a bit under the weather as well.
All the members of the Kingdom Heirs were very gracious to us, though, which has always been the case.
I saw Ms. Judy. She was down in the mouth...literally! :o) But she was in great spirits as usual. I saw her snapping away with a camera at one point...don't know if those shots will appear anywhere online any time soon or not.
I'd estimate the crowd at 7-800. That's not bad for a cold rainy night.

I tried to get some good shots of David & the group "Southern Sounds". These are really great guys, and they CAN sing too.........
I enjoyed the concert, {1st one I've been to since October!}, but I'm still kind of under the weather and wasn't at my best. I agree, ARTHUR RICE is the best lead singer out there! I was really touched by the story Steve shared with us about Josh, his son, and the song he sang, "True To The Call".
The crowd was good IMO, considering the weather outside.
David was referring to me as 'being down in the mouth', that's an understatement!!! I had mouth surgery Monday, and have a mouth full of stitches, and still went to a concert! Guess now you know for sure, I'M BLONDE! LOL...

If there were windows in the Showstreet Palace they would have shattered. I was telling BRBB as we walked out that if we had drove all the way down there and they just sung that one song, it still would have been worth the trip.
