I heard from Steve that "What We needed" was number 1 in the July charts from Singing News. Way to go Kingdom Heirs!

Yes!

Of all the singles I've heard in the past year, that one is one of the ones that most deserved to go to the top.

I was really hoping that this one would go to the top. I believe that this song could eventually become the Kingdom Heirs signature song. It is awesome live.

The nice thing about the Kingdom Heirs is that they have several songs that could just as easily be signature songs: "The Depths of the Father's Love," "I Know I'm Going There," etc. etc.

Having several signature songs is a mark of a group that has been on top for some time. The Cathedrals didn't have just one signature song--they had Glen Payne's "We Shall See Jesus" and Ernie Haase's "Oh What a Savior" and George Younce's "Thanks to Calvary" and George Younce's and Glen Payne's "Sinner Saved By Grace" and Gerald Wolfe's "Champion of Love." There were others, but those headed the list.

I think the Kingdom Heirs are on their way to having a signature song list of that caliber.

The Kingdom Heirs have had several signiture songs, "Forever Changed" was a number one song and the number one song on Praise 96 for the year in 2006. Dennis's song 'God's word' was the most played song in 2007. The Kingdom Heirs are at the top!

Can't wait until the first of June when we see the guys again. Plans include nine shows while we're at Dollywood. They were in the Celebrity Theater for a while in May but schedule now shows them back at Showstreet. Did they remodle the Showsteet while KH were on the hill?
I think at one time they said new seats would be put in sometime in May.

I was there yesterday and the Kingdom Heirs were great, but the seats have not been changed. I, also heard that the seats would be changed, but they are still the same as of 05/23/2008.

Yesterday i was jamming out, i had the one NQC DVD that the Kingdom Heirs were singing ..."I Know I'm Going There". and they sang several encores on that, i had that thing blasting in my house, i'm surprised the neighbors weren't banging on the walls!

I just can't get enough of looking at the Top 80 and seeing "What We Needed" at #1. It seems like it's been awhile since a great quartet song was #1.

So do you like it, or is it an issue more along the lines of the one discussed in Roy Webb's latest SN Life column?

Funny how cds have personalities like some people's relatives...overstaying power.

(in this case, it's good though )

Daniel, I love the CD, and I can change it if I wanted to. The other one I carry around is Everyday People.

While I was there, I read all of Roy, Roger and Scott's columns.

Old saying: Visiting relatives and fish begin to smell after three days.

BTW: I think I may put the Collingsworth Family in the player for a while.

Sure hope Daniel paid the bill.

Nice try, but as I said, they already have that address on file as belonging to me, and they know who I am.
