I myself can not think of one But 10 years ago I had over 20 memorized and the full book of John

Yes this thread is to help me out as well as other I also want others to feel free and ask for bible verses to help them or for ones they have forgotten

Recently when my mother was told that she had terminal cancer it was this verse which helped me greatly and brought wonderful peace.

Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His godly ones.

This is my life verse:
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

This is the verse the Lord gave me when He delivered me from many years of Severe Depression:
"Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us."
Matthew 6:12
("If you forgive people their sins, your Father in heaven will forgive your sins also. If you do not forgive people their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Matthew 6:14-15)

Here is one I am reminded of when times are good or when times are bad:
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
Romans 8:28

Micah 6-8

You know oh man, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you....

Nahum 1:7

The LORD is good , A stronghold in the day of trouble , And He knows those who trust in Him.

These two verses have impacted my life more than any others I can recall.

The first is like a condensed version of the whole of God's will in the Bible for me;

The second totally ignited my faith and trust in God, for from this verse, I can know THAT HE KNOWS, when I trust in Him.

This makes faith complete for me, for HE is worthy of trust, and resting in assurance IN HIM, becomes reality....and is something we are going to need to know and practice the entire rest of our lives on earth.[;)]

LOL! I mean no disrespect but these helped me once when I was in a bad relationship and were the first ones to come to mind.

Proverb:21:19: It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

Proverb:27:15: A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.

They gave me comfort. [8D]

Well helped me is a matter of opinion I guess As it is the only one that kept me alive for several years.

Matt 5:37 (NKJV) But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

I rather suspect that every version is the same[:D]

Well now, I don't know about that Mr Walker... Jesus crept up on me all unexpected and I'm not sure that I could ever get rid of Him, even if I wanted to...

I have a little problem at times being judgemental - these verses have spoken to me many times!

Rom. 15:7 "Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God."

Gal. 5:13 "You my brothers were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge your sinful nature, rather, serve one another in love."
