Just no to the bribe, or no to being familiar with Monty Python?

No to the bribe. I'm somewhat familiar with Monty Python.

Manda, did you happen to see that programme about the 'artful codgers' or whatever it was called (channel 4)...

LOL, that's ok... whenever I see Heros is on, I think of you because I know you watch it. I just couldn't keep up with it when I tried watching it ~ just seemed too disjointed.

I think it says more about my mind than yours

I'd have had problems with the 'Magic Roundabout' when they put the first series of Heros out

Did any of you watch the BBC program "State of Play"? Did it run on regular tv there for ya'll or was it like a movie (series) just made by BBC?

The name rang a bell but I had to look it up... it hit our screens about 5 years ago... I have a problem remembering last week, let alone 5 years back...

But thinking about it, I don't think I had a tv back then so it would have made watching anything pretty difficult .

There is a film (this year/next year, not sure) with the same name/characters etc. I don't really watch a lot of films so for all I know it's already out

Question for the Americans:

I was reading a book (British) and it said that you can't get Kinder Surprises in the US. Is that true?

It means that surprises in the US are much kinder than those you might find elsewhere.

what? that's not it?

Thanks! I rented it from Blockbuster (I had a free trial membership) and it was really very good. Aside from some language and a couple of intimate scenes the story was good as was the acting.

Well, I'm officially hooked on Wire in the Blood. The current season anyways.

One of the most fascinating things is that it's a two-hour series every week. In the U.S. anything longer than an hour is a mini-series or movie.

I record it so I can watch a little at a time when I have the chance. I actually figured the one out this past week before it was into the second hour.

LOL... not quite.

Kinder Surprises. They have white chocolate in them and I don't like white chocolate.

Manda, do you watch Euro?

We watched a bit of this the other night...but we caught the very tail end of it so it didn't make much sense to us. But it looked really good!

We have the Cadbury Creme Egg, but it's not the same thing. Sorta similar though.

It's kind of a more intense Criminal Minds.

Unfortunately Cadbury is no longer it's own company...it was bought out by Hershey's Co. My personal favorite British candy (chocolate) is the Aero Bar...the mint flavor. So delish! My sister found them *once* at one of our local grocery stores...but I've not had any luck since. And I have no idea how to order them online!

Very well could be. I bought a cadbury milk chocolate bar the other day as a rare treat and was telling Joel how much I love British choco. and when I looked at the label I was disappointed to see Hershey, PA on it! Oh well...
