Not at all. On the plus side, I've never thought that all Christians were nuts or flakes. On the minus side, I've known for a long time that some of them are. On the other plus side, that just makes them like any other group of folks. After all, it's usually me and my fellow Californians who are accused of being granola.

All people are wierd. We just choose different ways to exhibit our own personal kind of crazy.
I grew up in the midwest. People there are VERY wierd, it's just they're all wierd in the same conservative sort of way so it just looks normal. I was wierd in more of a Left Coast kind of way, so when I landed there I suddenly felt normal.

Is it possible that the divinely-inspired authors of Scripture you cite were writing from the perspective of mankind's observations here on earth? Certainly we all "feel" no motion even though the earth is rotating, revolving, and moving through space every moment. Using language of "rising and setting" merely supports the observations we all have as the earth rotates through the morning and evening plane of sunlight, right?

I would strongly suggest you take some time to study English because a working knowledge of the English language would clear up much of the confusion you have in regards to these verses.
