What draws you back to our Community?

Surely there are those things which may aggravate you... but why do you keep coming back?

We want to know your reasons!

This is where my family is! My hubby, mother, brother, twin, and lil'sister are all here!

Some of my best friends are here... to many to list!

The best administration ever is here. (ever thought of running for President?)

This place is loads of fun.

This place has loads of support and advice.

This place has the best host team ever.

This place allows me to be me.

There are a lot of people that I have so much in common with as well as people that I don't have as much in common with that I admire very much.

This is the best place for good conversation.

I just love this polace... How could I ever leave? I can bearly bring myself to log out!

I keep coming back for the good people here. Everybody seems to be on the same page.

It's one of the ways to further my spiritual self.

I have learned alot about the bible here.
I need this during the week.
Seeing the testimonies of other people. I'm always blessed when I hear things like that.
And, I believe that God has led me here to find new Christian friends.

This is a good place to be because it's all about God, which is my heart.

The list goes on...

The diversity, having "conversations" with people that, IRL, I would never meet, much less discuss things with.

To ask questions and opinions (going back to the diversity) - I've gotten some good tips about movies and beauty products, gardening advice, recipes, etc.

I also sort of feel like....I need to be here, to represent the..."non-traditional," for lack of a better word, Christian.

Well, the word DITTO to what everyone has said so far about covers it! Oh wait, can't leave out the WEBCAM!!

I have learned so much here, my prayer life has definitely changed and improved since I came here.

It's a school, church and playground all wrapped up in one place.

That's so true!

I pretty much learned to pray right here on CW!

There's a bunch of reasons.

  • I'm bored at work or taking a break from "work" while at work.
  • I posted to a thread and I want to see what everyone else has to say.
  • I like reading other people's thoughts and like posting my thoughts back.
  • Sometimes I actually feel like I'm helping people.

Definitely the people! I have made some of the best freinds ever over the last 5 years and this is where they hang out. I have gotten so much prayer, freindship and support here and it's worth whatever little annoyances may come up to have that.

Kind of like nicotine, I'm just addicted it seems!!!!

Something about my ability to make someone on this planet listen to me...I dunno...just does something special for me.

Why here? I have met some lovely folks and think they are pretty bright and I hate trying to start over and make new friends, so I stick with the ones I got, lol.

Oh yeah, and I just think it's neat that you and I live in the same area....I used to like saying I lived in the same county as Crosswalk headquarters (if there were such a place)...but now I don't no more...but I'm still awful close.

I like to hear opinions about Christian issues outside of my little church world, this is a great place to do that!

Does the phrase 'fits like an old pair of slippers' ring any bells?

I've been here since before I was a Christian...

Why try to find somewhere that is as nutty (and therefore accepting ) as this place?

Sure there have been times in those years that I've wanted to but they're going to be there wherever you go (chances are anyhow)... they're just a reminder of how addictive this place is

Because it's just so fun!

I really enjoy participating in light-hearted, fun threads - I usually don't jump into the theological debates or even most of the ethical debates. My favorite forums are all listed under FUN!

This is where I come to unwind - a break in my day.

You guys are doing a good job.

I haven't been here long (about a month) so I don't have great history, but I will try to make some comments:

1. The People - I haven't connected here like I have on other discussion boards (yet). Sure, there are a few people who seem to be on the same frequency that I am, but I'm talking having actual dialogue with. That seems to be missing for me.

2. I am here because someone here (who I don't see posting) recommended this place

3. I post here when I have some down time at home (never at work)

4. I wonder if there are too many forums or threads and perhaps everybody is so spread out. I don't really know for sure. It just seems like there should be a bit more activity on some threads than there is.

5. Back to the people - so far, I've experienced a very mature behavior, even when people disagree. This is a great plus here, that seperates itself from other D-Boards, even Christian.

That's all for now.

I've tried message boarding before, but either the rules weren't enforced or the layout was not so great. This site has a great layout, and knowing that rules are enforced makes me feel better. When there aren't any rules it can get nasty when talking about religion. Also, the people here seem to really care, which makes lurking that much more fun.

I feel like CW has a balance- the people actively posting, the enforcement of TOS, the moderation of the moderators....................

Plus, I come here to practice diplomacy and tact- skills I have never been accused of possessing, but am attempting to learn.

I like to "hear" varying viewpoints.
The Books folder helps me fill out my "what to read" list.
People here are genuine and genuinely care.
It's fun!

I see this community as an extension of my own family.... People here are genuine and are truely concerned about others.

Faith Community Network gives me the opportunity to encourage others on a daily basis.

The coffee ain't bad, and the donuts are usually fresh..no wait, that's church! I keep coming back because this is where my friends are. And because it's educational. I learn more on accident here than I do on purpose from all the books I have available to me. The people here really help me to "live the life".

Did someone say THE PEOPLE!

I have moved 4(yeah I said FOUR) times since I found this community of believers. It is a constant in my ever changing life. Okay so mostly constant... the PEOPLE are constant the site is in a constant state of *ahem* evolution forgive the scientific wordage but the word fits better to the development of this site than it does to creation and all living things .

Yeah the people!

Thats my final answer.

Because I like to read the posts and learn things, but I find that I also come when I'm dealing with things and situations in my life, and need guidance or stability.I'm not surrounded by fellow Christians in my life,to say the least, and I often find answers, from a Christian point of view,w/o even having to post a question. Sometimes the issue in my life is being posted about right here already,or something else that is analogous to my problem, and I can get answers or at least a handle on things from what I learn here.

I can also get my Christian perspective back, when I'm getting frustrated beyond human patience by a niece who is living with me,who has many problems, and is showing me(by trying me and pushing my buttons!) just how far I have to go to be the Godly person I want to be. Talk about "the times that try men's souls"!!!!!!

Although I haven't posted lately I do like to read messages and I often find help with some of the issues going on in my life. It's also quite comforting to know that whatever we are going through there is always someone else experiencing similar circumstances - and worse.

I find encouragement to 'continue on' in my faith even though sometimes things are hard going.
