I'm a historian....I have to have a good memory. Okay not really, I just need to know where to find stuff.LOL

I'm only forgetful when the fluff gets stuck between my ears. Which now that I'm in my forties, is more often.

Status: offline 		My parents say I have a selective memory. I think they're right, because some of my friends remember me doing stuff (not bad stuff) in college that I have no recollection of whatsoever.

There's a thread here in the Lounge talking about things like that when people get 40 and beyond.


Yesterday, I went up to the post office to get my mail and to renew my post office box.

I waited in line for a couple of minutes until it was my turn.

I got up to the counter and had no idea why I was waiting in line.

I finally looked at the man on the other side of the counter and asked, "Why am I here?"

He told me he was hoping I'd be the one to tell him; not the other way around.

I know people like that....but they used to drink.

Now my kids definitely have selective memories.

Status: offline 		Are you kidding?! There were two clerks (him and a lady) and there were about 3 people in line behind me . . . everyone got a kick out of it!

I had already gotten my mail; so when I finally remembered what my mission was and told him, he picked up one of my pieces of mail (that I had laid down on the counter) and said, "I'll just help you out here and get your box number from this piece of mail."

He was still giggling about it when I left.
