That's basically how it ended up with us. I really really REALLY did not want to find out. My hubby really did want to find out. But I think it came down to the fact that I actually felt a lot stronger about it, and I'm the one carrying the kid. So we didn't find...and hubby is totally fine with that now and is excited about the surprise, too. Well, we're going up by my family for my baby shower this weekend. I am SO excited!!! Yeah, that is what Lorne said. He told me that since I would be the one that is carrying our baby it is up to me. I think it is cool that your hubby is the same way! Have fun this weekend!

Okay, SIL just came to get Levi so I can go to the graduation kidless. She's a nursing student and I asked her to bring her BP cuff and stethescope so she could check me. I have done *nothing* today but lay around and my BP is 148/86. EEK!

I was just there yesterday, and it was 137/80 in the office and did not go down when I laid down for a while. I go again in 2 weeks.

Donna - I keep meaning to tell you the picture of your kids is adorable. It sounds like you are concerned about your BP. Maybe you should call the doc and see what he/she says. Or wait till Monday and see what happens. I think limiting salt in your diet helps. Here's some information I found online: http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/women/pregnancy/complications/695.html Was your doctor concerned when you were there yesterday since your BP was close to being too high?

No, he wasn't concerned yesterday, because the appointment before that it was fine, so he said maybe just a fluke. Found out my MIL has a digital BP monitor she never uses, so I'm going to borrow that and keep a log to show at my next doctor's appointment. I don't really see a point in getting in sooner than my next appt (2 weeks from yesterday), since they aren't going to DO anything anyway. But at least I'll have a 2 week record of it when I go in next, so they'll know it's not a fluke, KWIM? I will take it easy too (not much choice when you feel awful anyway!), but that's all they will tell me to do anyway...rest with my feet up and drink lots of water. And thanks...I think they're pretty adorable too.

They should be checking your protein and liver function too though if your bp is so high. At this point I doubt they would medicate you since your baby is already viable. If you ended up with severe Pre-e then they would just induce.

Have any singleton moms felt the baby at 9 weeks? I am absolutely positive that it was baby, and it was 9.5 weeks, and even weirder, I don' t go more than 48 hours without feeling it again. I honestly question how many there are this time- I never really did before... I have to loook it up, but I think I felt Eleni at 12 and Anna toward the end of week 10, but then days would go by with nothing. Come on July 9....(u/s) I am having a hard time adjusting to having five kids here during the day, so it iwll probably be a week or two until I'm posting as much- these kids are loud and I can't just say "be quiet" I have to stay in the room with them during nap time and keep an eye on them while my girls nap. I am hoping that in another week or two, that will not be necessary, but until then, I'm limited on time.

I am sure I felt this one at 9 weeks. It felt like a tickling in my low low belly. I know I felt Nadia for sure at 16 weeks. I also showed a whole lot earlier with this one too.
