Thank you for the invite to Sony's birthday party, but I really have to be running along. Sony I think you should keep the birthday going next week too.

Well, if you do it often enough, then your weight climbs and then the evidence is there.

I probably shouldn't ask but did I seem different on the phone than I do on the forum? (Honestly.) To me, I think you all seemed exactly like I pictured.
Yes. I was expecting to talk to a man.

Actually, you have a soft voice, and it fits your picture very well.

James, how did you do that? That's cool!
Since it got the reaction that it did, I took it off... but I'll send you an email detailing step by step if ya want.
Why'd you take it off? I didn't get to see it.

I think Bethany was going to hide in a corner or under a couch until he took it down.

Thank you, Lynn. That's sweet.

Do guys really watch their figure? I always figured it was a girl thing. I have a friend who will sometimes say he's watching his figure but I'm pretty sure with him that he's joking.

SharMar, you don't really think I bring out the sassiness in people, do you?!

We certainly do watch our figure. We just eat enough to get it out there so we can see it better.

I see Daniel's logged on.

Oh good! Maybe he'll drop by...

Santa, if you don't mind my asking, Sony was saying that SharMar is older that you & Sam. I didn't think that was possible, but she was pretty sure. Is that true?

You don't think Sam and I would lie about a thing like that, do you?

Maybe stretch the true a little but surely not lie about it.
You see her birthday is on the 13th and mine is the 19th so she is 6 days older than me.

But they never tell the year they were born in.
Whereas, anyone can find out what year I was born in, simply by clicking on my profile. I isn't askeered.

I'm currently on post #1896 . . . y'all sure have been chatty during this party.

Sony, I'm glad you've had a great birthweek! Anyone as sweet as you deserves a wonderful birthweek! My baby's birthday is today (she's 3) :)

Tell your baby Santa says happy birthday.

Oh, I'm sure she'll be thrilled. I was with a little boy last December when he got to get his picture taken with a "Santa" (not you) and it made his day. He was so happy. It must be cool to be able to bring such joy to children simply by saying hello or smiling at them.

22 seasons of joy!

Bethany, it's not that they're intentionally lying; neither one of them would do that . . . it's just that when you get to be THEIR AGES, well, you see, certain neurological functions start to do funny things and things like one's memory and, uhm, mathematical skills go kerrflooey.

Bless their hearts.

You guys have a great sense of humor!

Unless you're the baby I was holding around Christmas time. She didn't cry but just stared with a startled expression on her face. Santa stopped to say hello to her and she looked scared. He asked me if she was feeling okay. I said she was tired which I think was it but I felt like asking, "Wouldn't you be scared if someone you didn't know came and put their face in yours?" I didn't figure that would endear me to him though.

I liked my nephew's response better: "Hey, there's a man dressed up like Santa Claus."

Ruth, sorry to see you go but thank you for coming. I personally think I have two weeks left of my birthday. Yesterday, I had friends tell me that I have a card and a present that should arrive this next week. Then next weekend, we're getting together to celebrate several family birthdays (including mine). May 31, we're hoping to see the Freemans, and that will be the perfect ending to a perfect birthmonth.

You guys are so funny about your weight. Women don't often joke about it. We just hope people don't notice but I'm not sure who we're fooling.

and was a fun question the steal and eat. kinda like the one daniel asked about park and drive. I say. if ship hauls cargo and car hauls shipment, what gives??

Santa, I showed Sophie your picture and asked her "Who is this?" She said, "That's Santa!" I told her you said "Happy birthday" and she grinned from ear to ear! Thank you so much!

We may even finish this thread today.

Would y'all not copy and paste those things that make my screen go braodways. Sure messes up a good screen. I like them but it does widen my screen.

You must have a high tech computer. I don't have that problem. BTW, I just noticed your signature. (Sorry. I'm slow sometimes.) It was neat to see my birthday acknowledged there.

Last night someone called and asked how my birthday was going so I explained how I've been celebrating all week. She said "You're getting spoiled." I said, "I know ." She then said they may not send their present after all since they don't want me to get a big head. Since they've already bought it, I'm sure they will but I will say that, although y'all have spoiled me this week, I hope I can somewhat keep from acting spoiled.

Joey, you've got good tastes. "Children of the Dust" is often the first song I play when introducing someone to the Freemans. It's also the song I was playing when I had to tell my mom that a dear friend of ours died several months ago. Because of that, I think it means something to her now too.

OK, I got the information. By the way, I gave her a copy of the second album the Happy Goodmans ever released. (I was just confirming that it was the second.)

Isn't that cool? That was a great gift. The other surprise he'd given me last night was having Gerald Wolfe call last night. That was really neat. I wish I'd remembered to ask him to sing to me. I had early on decided that was a prerequisite for anyone who called me yesterday but I let a few people get away without singing. I was worried if my rule was what kept others from calling. (Scaredy cats.)

So glad you could join us Amerigrandpa. It's been a great party so far. Did you notice the pink streamers that Bobby put up?

Hey Ruth, Glad you made it. Comfortable's fine. I'm just glad you're here.
Oh how cool about Gerald calling you!

Daniel, you done good!

We have the live version on CD. I love the way Joe takes off playing the keys on the second verse. He's good!
