[sm=thumbsup.gif] Way to go Sony!!!![:D]

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Geezers and GonnaBees Palavering about their Heroes (5/19/2008 10:26:00 PM)

Should bring about some interesting posts about everyones heroes. And it being close to Memorial Day, that will be great.

SGEnthusiast -> RE: Geezers and GonnaBees Palavering about their Heroes (5/19/2008 10:26:19 PM)

Well, I had my young sister beside her so I asked her to make sure I pushed the right button. It worked. [:D]

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Geezers and GonnaBees Palavering about their Heroes (5/19/2008 10:28:16 PM)

And of course we have to remember and thank our heroes, the Men and Women in the armed services, serving our country so bravely. Our hats off to them all and we pray for their safety.
Joey and Chrisiansoldier (whereever he may be), God Bless y'all.

Oh yes. That's why I keep her. [:D] She's always getting me out of scrapes and making me look good. All my sisters seem good at that.

BBfan -> RE: Geezers and GonnaBees Palavering about their Heroes (5/19/2008 10:33:15 PM)

Well...let me start...in honor of Memorial Day...
My father was a WW2 veteran serving in the South Pacific in the Army Air Corps....now called the Air Force. My 2 eldest brothers served in Vietnam in the Air Force. My Aunt Doris (dad's baby sister) served in both the Marine Corps and then the Air Force in Korea. My father-in-law served in the Navy during Korea. My eldest brother then served in Operation Desert Storm in the National Guard. My husband was on active duty in the Navy during Desert Storm and then my son was in the Marine Corps. during our current situation. Currently have a brother-in-law...hubby's baby sister's husband serving in the Air Force and he has done everything from Desert Storm to current...he's a career military man!
That just touches on a few in my life I would like to pay special honor to this Memorial Day.[sm=usa.gif]

Great post Lynn, Hats off to those family members.

Sony, speaking of your sisters, I flipped through my magazine today and saw the pictures of all of you and your mom. You are all very beautiful young ladies! (that's including your mom, btw)

I also got my copy of Taste of Home today. It was a very good magazine kind of day.[:D] Do you ever read that one? I love the recipes. There are always several in each magazine that I end up trying.

(Looking for tips on moving out of state)

So, y'all are thinking about just up and moving away from us. They don't have Tony's Ribs in Missouri. How you gonna do without them??

I guess we'll have to have a big 'ol get together at Tony's whenever we come back to visit.

Or Tony could open a franchise in MO?[sm=icon_smile_idea.gif]

Thank you for the compliment. Now you know what we all look like.

I look through Taste of Home every once in a while. My sister-in-law gets it. Her name is Brook and she also writes for An Encouraging Word. My brother's wanted to write for AEW but we reject his articles. His favorite Scripture is "Sisters, obey your brothers and do whatsoever they tell you to do." Therefore, he has yet to get an article through for that publication although he writes for the others.

Movie's over so I need to get to bed but thank y'all for chatting. It would have been hard to sleep knowing there was a thread that was going to close without me!

Christi, if you are moving to Missouri you will have access to Kansas City BBQ.

Oh yeah, we had lots of that last time we visited there...yummy!

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Geezers and GonnaBees Palavering about their Heroes (5/19/2008 10:49:16 PM)

But was it as good as Tony's BBQ??

So now I have to ask the question, what is the difference between KC and Tennessee BBQ?

BBfan -> RE: Geezers and GonnaBees Palavering about their Heroes (5/19/2008 10:49:40 PM)

Goodnight Sony...I'm heading that direction myself. Puppy didn't allow me to sleep much last night...just like having a human baby in the house again. [8D]
