I am majoring in Fire Science Technology

Interesting! What does that mean?

Are you going to find better ways to put out and/or prevent fires?

What is every one's college major? Mine is journalism

Ah...I see money isn't important to you.

Must not be important to me either because that was my major!

Never really got to use it because I wound up in advertising..... paid more and was fun!

I actually enjoyed reading about the majors dealing with English and English/Lit and even psychology. I have an interest in all of that, but my majors right now are different.

At my previous school, I apted for a double major: Religion/Philosophy and English. But now, my major is different as well as whole life outlook and career.

My current major is Biblical Studies with a concentration in Pastoral Ministries. According to the college, though, this is aiming to be a double major emphasis (part of some changes we are doing) so that it will be both biblical studies and pastoral ministries. Nevertheless, this is what is it is. I am planning on going on to seminary to get my M.Div for ministry and Th.M for teaching college. I would like to get a small degree in other areas of interest, but I'll have to see how things go. Namely, I'd love to get a degree in my other areas of personal interest: videogames and writing and psychology. Maybe one day...but right now, I love where I am! Wouldn't change it for anything else!

Human Services with an emphasis on Counseling.

I am currently in the field of social work as a case manager for a small agency. I would like to eventually be a counselor of some sort, maybe in a school setting, for addictions and such. Or the prevention of. I would also like to counsel from a Christian perspective.

I am 37 and doing this with 2 kids and being a single mom! I still want to finish my degree but I really hope to meet and marry a great guy who would allow me to be a SAHM and to have more kids. Maybe just do something part time or be more involved in church in the counseling area.
And be able to pursue my music ministry more. These are my true dreams and what I pray for daily :-)

Oh goodness, I have no clue right now. My major right now is Human Services. I want to work with the mentally ill. Not a counselor, but more of a social worker. Where I go out and do things with kids/teenagers. Or I want to work with the special needs. I've always had a heart for them, because many people cast them away because they are "different".

Or I want to do Early Childhood Education.
But hopefully I'll figure out which one I want to do soon! But I'm only going into my sophomore year so I have plenty of time. :)

At my 2 yr. college, liberal studies

at Covenant College--elementary ed., early grades

if I finish at Chapman--liberal studies (that's basically what you major in instead of education in California)

Am I the only linguist here? Man...such a lonely field sometimes...though my best friend here in Oregon is finishing her first year towards her BA in linguistics, I think with some sort of minor in Mandarin Chinese? I'm so proud of her!

It's a tough degree, so I can imagine you don't have a lot of company. When I was in college, the dad of a friend of mine was a Wycliffe translator, and when I saw what he did, it was overwhelming. I have a lot of respect for those guys.

I did 2 years in Biology and then switched to a double major in Communications and Secondary Education. Although my college didn't do minors until after I left I probably did enough Bio to have a minor in it.

I took a few Grad classes in Linguistics to see if I wanted to go on in it. It was fun.

My major is Paralegal Science and Medical Transcription. I want to be able to work at home. I am attending online school and both fields are very exciting. I am working now, but it's my dream to be able to freelance, and not have to work my entire life in a job. I want a career.

I want to pursue my BA in English, also. I am thinking about teaching, but I want a BA in English/Professional Writing. I want to be able to write full-time too. I have so many goals, and with my faith in God, I know I can do all things, and then some.
