So?

Do you really think this new "revelation" is going to change anything?
Other than give the Flame Obama Network, (Fox) some cover for the McClellan fiasco.

No doubt. I'm beginning to believe this entire 'Election 2008' thread should be called 'Obama Watch' because that's exactly what it is: let's analyze every minute of his existence and try to shred it to pieces.

But, it is transparent to anyone who is not biased...it's amusing in a very sad way. It makes it all that more apparent that the right fears Obama because of how intelligent he is.

Peace and God bless,

He sounds inteligent in front of a tele-promter, but when pressed on issues he gets frustrated and upset. The right fears him b/c is is so far left.

I respectfully disagree. I believe he is the most articulate politician in my generation - I would say even more so than Reagan, Clinton. If you don't agree with this, let's agree to disagree.

No, actually, colliefan, I am undecided as of yet; and I am not registered to any party...so, no strings for me...except, of course, my beliefs...

And, I don't know who 'Candy Man' is - for all I know, it could mean Hillary...

Hopefully the gospel is being preached at Obama's church, because who knows how many Fox news correspondents are in attendance for every service just waiting for something to give Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly. If must have been frustrating for some of them, waiting and waiting and wishing and hoping and getting nothing.....until now. Who knows how much longer they'll have to wait for the next one? But they'll wait.

Last Sunday, our Memorial day service, we had a guest preacher. He told this joke from the pulpit: When Chelsea Clinton was in Iraq, she asked a Marine was he afraid of being over there. The Marine replied, "There's only three things I'm afraid of: Osama, Obama, and yo' mama." The preacher went on to talk about what a great man John McCain was.

Prior to that, I heard a preacher say from the pulpit prior to an election, that he couldn't tell anyone how to vote, but if they were thinking about voting for a democrat, they'd better get down to the altar and get right with God.

Then there was the time when Bill Clinton was president, my preacher was talking about how we should pray for our president. He said he was praying for him alright - praying that a bullet hits his skull.

None of that matters though. The only thing that matters is what hard working white people think. And their primary concern, just like the primary concern of white employees when a new black supervisor is hired, is that a black president is going to favor blacks more than whites. And some of the sermons from that church provides what some would call evidence of that.

I'm predicting now that Obama may win his home state of Illinois. And possibly some obscure mountain state like North Dakota. And that's all.

As I have quite plainly stated, colliefan, I don't really care whom you think 'Candy Man' is.

I am an independent voter, and all I really care to discuss is the issues; NOT rumors, caricatures, if Obama is part of cult, what not...I'm sure this is understandable to anyone who votes on issues, and not preconceived notions...

Thanks, Peace and God bless,

Hi Julius,

What you have heard saddens me, but it does not surprise me.

Where I'm from, Wisconsin, I am proud that we have the history of being a 'maverick' state, and I know many people here that support Obama. One very classy lady that I know campaigned for him tirelessly by foot.

I'm an independent voter. The ONLY issue I agree with Republicans on is that of pro-life - though I believe in allowances for victims of rape, incest, or when the mother's life is endangered, like GWB believes.

I support most of Obama's stances, except, at least to me, his overtly pro-choice stance. On the same note, I don't think this issue matters very much on a presidential level given the fact that the majority of the current SC justices were appointed by republican presidents, and RVW remains intact at the federal level. This is especially given light in the fact that the highly regarded SCJ Kennedy (at least in conservative circles + was appointed by Reagan) had the deciding vote to overturn RVW in 1992, and did not.

So, as an independent voter, I'm leaning towards Obama for the aforementioned reasons.

Peace and God bless,

The "man" who made these remarks is not a Christian neither are the people who were cheering him on. I understand a church wanting to support one of their members. But this is not the way to do it

You know, ljmac, it's interesting that you seem to be the the only one berating Obama to this degree. If you haven't already (it appears you may have already), I think you should start a new hobby, perhaps an 'Obama Watch ' - I mean, by all means, those that don't... have...that...much...to do - this would be a perfect opportunity to start such a thing...

And, his intelligence speaks for itself - anyone without bias can clearly see this...

Peace and God bless ;)

Poor Barack, he keeps showing his true face ... calls himself a Christian but when asked about abortion "he doesn't want his kids punished with a baby!" What does that say? He never mentioned adoption!! He's the most liberal person to ever serve in the Illinois Legislature. I really don't feel like the United States needs a liberal to lead us. We have enough to deal with ... without Barack Obama. His statement about 57 states! His memorial day speech, said something to the effect of "we're to honor those fallen ... I see some of you in the audience." WHAT??? Haven't heard a word of this on the news! If a Repub had said it ... look out. I also don't care for Obama's calling his grandmother a "typical white person." She is afterall his grandmother and reared the seemingly ungrateful man. He's smart when reading others' words but he stumbles when he's on his own. But, when he criticized Hillary Clinton when she said yes we would defend Israel ... a Christian wouldn't criticize Hillary. I'm thrilled to know if she was elected that she would go after Israel's enemies. Obama? Attending the Nation of Islam's Million Man March was enough. He is NOT for this country or her peoples!!

So, you argree that junkies should be given clean needles. And gang land killlers don't deserve the death penalty. That is fine to remain friends with terrorists who attempt to blow up the Pentagon.

That is OK to give government grants to people who donate to your campaign. That the only reason to be proud of America is that Barry is running for POTUS? That lies about his imaginary uncle being in the army that liberated Auschwitz (it was the Red Army) .

Obama is scary! The more I hear about the man the more I worry about the elections coming up. What scares me even more is the number of Christians who will gloss over the abortion and America is such a horrible country to see only what he might do the economy. Democrats are in Charge right now. People give the president too much credit for how much power he has. It is the senate that has all the power.

1) To prevent AIDS, I would definitely say yes
2) I'm against the death penalty, colliefan - I believe God is the only one that knows when you are to die, PERIOD
3) I don't know where you get that he wants to remain friends with THE same people that blew up the pentagon. Links, please
4) Oh, and it's alright to blow a country up, and give the contracts to your good buddies I suppose? You know, like our current leadership did...
5) I've heard Obama say he's proud of many things in America...so...what is your point? Are you not happy that people have more choices to pick from for their presidential candidate
6) That statement really angers me, and it has angered WWII vets - Obama just got the name of the concentration camp wrong, colliefan:

"WWII Vet Fires at Conservative Bloggers Re: Obama's Great Uncle Charlie
May 29, 2008 10:04 PM

His name, according to the Obama campaign, was Charles T. Payne. He was born in February 1925, and he served in the 89th Infantry Division of the Army during World War II.

Checking out Obama's story -- you may recall that on Memorial Day, Obama mistakenly said his great uncle was one of the soldiers who helped liberate the concentration camp Auschwitz, when in fact the 89th helped liberate Buchenwald -- our friends at Politifact looked into the matter.

"Although we were not able to reach Payne directly, Payne's son, Richard Payne, said his father 'definitely served in the 89th Infantry Division' and confirmed that Obama's account was substantially accurate, except for identifying the wrong concentration camp. Richard Payne declined to say anything further."

Politifact spoke with researchers at the National Personnel Records Center, who reported that "Army personnel records for Payne would have been destroyed in a 1973 fire that consumed many such archives, but they dug up a 'Morning Report' dated April 11, 1945, showing Pfc. Charles T. Payne was assigned to the 355th Regiment Infantry, Company K. The Records Center provided a copy of the report."Then there's the unofficial website dedicated to the 89th Infantry Division. Politifact spoke with Mark Kitchell, son of 89th veteran Raymond E. Kitchell, who has a list of servicemen -- a list that includes Pfc. C.T. Payne, K Company, 355th Infantry Regiment, 89th Infantry Division -- from the official Division History book.

Politifact concluded that while Obama erred in the name of the concentration camp, the story otherwise checked out.

**

An interesting side story here -- the Kitchells are not particularly happy with the conservative bloggers who have set out to prove Obama was "lying" about his great uncle.

OOO! OOO! Know what I heard? Obama went to McDonalds at 10:05 and asked for an Egg McMuffin. What an idiot!!! Every red blooded hard-working American knows McDonalds stops serving breakfast at 10 A.M.. American voters should be outraged! I want to know why the leftist mainstream media didn't pick this story up. I mean, would you vote for a man for president who can't tell time?

But that's not the worst of it. I have some breaking news.
I have sources that report that when Obama eats Oreo cookies, he eats the WHITE center first and when asked why he did that, he said, get this now, this is a direct quote, "I want to save the best for last." Yes, my friends that proves that Obama likes black people better than white people. Do you want this man to be your president? Someone who hates white people so much, that he won't even save you for last? I'm telling you folks, this man cannot be trusted.

Barry's Buddy

Barry went to Bill to seak his blessings on running for the Senate. And still wants to be friends with the guy. If he is buddies with a domestic terrorist, how will he treat the lslamofacists? Have them over to the White House for a state dinner?

The Gospel is NOT being preached. The focus is BLT and it isn't the sandwich. And, as Christians, we are called to identify false teachers
