Hillary is a smart girl!

She said she would take the Vp position, put Bo back on the defense.

WASHINGTON - Hillary Rodham Clinton told colleagues Tuesday she would consider joining Barack Obama as his running mate, and advisers said she was withholding a formal departure from the race partly to use her remaining leverage to press for a spot on the ticket.

As someone posted days ago (somewhere around here), if Billary is the VP nominee, and if they were to win...watch out Obama! Billary has been known to...ahem..."deal with" those that get in the way!

I started a thread in Conspiracy Central dealing with that possibility. Now I am finding that scenario more plausible since I now know a lot of others are thinking this same nightmere out loud.

Of course, there is political assassination as well. Making Obama go the route of Nixon and resign making her de facto Prez. And we know the Clintons really enjoy playing in the mud!

The "Dream Team" just might galvanize Republican voters to actually go to the poles in November.

However, I would be very surprised if Clinton is asked to join the ticket.

I am not sure about the "Dream Ticket". I can see pros and cons of it.
A few pros: She can help with the working class whites that abandoned him during the primaries and she could help him keep key states. She also did well with Hispanics and women. She has the experience to convince people that at a moments notice she could step in as president if circumstances made it that it was needed. Also, VPs are the ones who do battle and lead the attack on the other person's ticket. Hillary can do that beautifully. I don't think that anyone can deny that in a case where you need someone to get tough against the other team or be in a knife fight or whatever--Hillary is the one you'd want.
A few cons: I think Bill Clinton is one. Also, while her being good at battles, I can see how she can overdo it. Also, the campaign between them got vicious at times, not only that but when he got the nomination, she basically didn't let it be his night and refused to concede. I think compatibility and trust is important between two candidates. I also think that given Obama's message of change, choosing Hillary as a running mate goes against that. Another thing that needs to be addressed--America has made history. A women got further than a woman has ever gotten in the past. We finally got an African American who clinched a presidential nomination and who will probably become the first black president. But will America go for both a black man and a woman? That is a question. This has been historical, but how much history will they make.

But whatever it is, I am still an Obama supporter and I don't think Hillary is that bad. i personally would vote for the "Dream Ticket", but I am just not sure how well it will work in the whole country. I will be excited at whoever he picks. I have been a US Citizen for 2 years and this is my first presidential election that I can actually vote in and I am just thrilled that this one will be my first.

If they do the "Dream Team" thingy, and the Clintons are a heartbeat away from the presidency; what is the vegas line going to be on Obama making it past 6 months.

Thanks
