I thought Adam did better than usual, so I was a little surprised he was sent home. Based on Monday night alone, I would have expected Mark, Sebastien, Drew, or Amberly to have been in the bottom three, mostly because they were just a little boring to watch.

I was very surprised by the bottom three. For some reason, I was expecting Sebastien to have a huge fan base.

It's interesting how all the criticism has been on Toronto for not supporting their hometown competitors, and again the bottom three is two people from Toronto, and one from Hamilton.

I think it's ridiculous to vote for whomever is from your area. Just vote for the BEST.

It's disappointing that not only was Mark not eliminated, he wasn't even in the bottom three! What's up with that? Who in their right mind is voting for him? He's no Canadian Idol! Sure, he sings well, but c'mon - I see no star power there. Is there a "vote for the worst" conspiracy going on?

I was surprised to see Mookie in the bottom 3 and to see Adam go home. Like someone else said, that was one of his best performances. But then, at this point, I'll be disappointed every time someone goes home from now on (except for Mark, of course) since they're all unique and great in their own way.

By the way, I noticed that Drew had two different eye colours. I mentioned it to Kevin, but he thought I was crazy. Then I started to doubt myself! It was good to be justified when the judges mentioned it!

It really bugs me when people criticise Toronto for not voting for the hometown person. First of all, I want to vote for Theo because I think he is the best. Second, I have nothing in common with the people from Toronto except being from Toronto. It's not Seven Persons Alberta where everyone knows Amberly. I think Mookie is from the the next neighbourhood over from me, but even still, that wouldn't make me vote for him. We've probably never crossed paths in our lives.

Newfoundland. Maybe that's the problem with Toronto not voting for their people, because entire provinces are voting for people from there, whether they are good or not.

I noticed it too! That's so cool. I hadn't noticed it before which made me wonder if wears a coloured contact in one eye, or I just don't pay any attention to him.

Theo - He was good as always.

Mitch - Sounded off key a lot and didn't seem to hit the runs very well. I didn't like it because of that.

Earl - I liked at the beginning how he actually sang to the audience... until he stood up and started the funky dancing and singing to himself again. He sang well - better than any other time, in my opinion.

Sebastian - He's such a showman. Song choice was so fitting - he seems like the consummate 50's type of performer. I agree that he didn't sing it very well.

Katherine - Great as always.

Drew - I thought it was really good, one of his better performances.

Mookie - He's really growing on me. He's fun. I hope he sticks around a lot longer.

Amberly - It was really good. But... has she sung any peppy songs?

Mark - He sang it very well. I still want him to go home, though!

My votes: Theo, Katherine, Mookie
Bottom 3: Mitch, Sebastian, Mark
Going home: Mitch or Sebastian

So I'm watching the show on my pvr, figuring I will type as I watch and make it easier for myself. Only I'm on my 5th viewing of Theo's performance. I can't stop myself from rewinding!!!

When Jason performed Bob Marley's I Shot the Sheriff on American Idol, my husband and I were joking around about if someone performed No Woman No Cry. My husband grew up very close to where Bob Marley grew up, and we joked about watching a non-Jamaican sing the line "I remember when we used to sit in a government yard in Trenchtown" because, as my husband explains, people who aren't from Jamaica can't really comprehend what life was like there.

But you know what? Theo pulled it off! I officially have the biggest crush, this boy can sing anything!

Mitch - he is too nasally for me, but it sounded ok.

Earl - kind of wish he would stop dancing. I really like this song and I think he did a good job of sounding different from everyone else who sings the song. I don't like him as much as the judges do though!

Sebastien - He's growing on me. He definitely understands the performance side of things. I agree with you Tricia that he is a 50's type of performer.

Katherine - Didn't like the song, but she sounded great.

Drew - I have not been a fan of his but I really liked this song. He sounded really good. I think he could put this song on an album of his.

Mookie - I really like this kid. He seems so mature in his singing abilities, and he's a great performer.

Amberly - really good. Like Jake, I was concerned about whether she could get the meaning across, but she was great! She does need to sing a peppy song.

Mark - it was nice to see a subdued Mark tonight and he sang it well. If he keeps singing stuff like that then I don't mind him sticking around, but if he sings like last week then he needs to go.

My top three - Theo, Theo, Theo...oops I mean Theo, Mookie, Amberly
Bottom three - Mitch, Sebastien, Mark

You know it's going to be a really tough top 7 on this show. Everyone is very good.

My favorites from last night are: Theo, Earl, Drew, Mookie (he's growing on me too), Amberly, & Mark, though I can't see him going much farther in this competition.

I still wish Sebastien's brother would have stayed in, I always thought he sang better, but it seems good looks prevailed here.

I have no idea what the bee thing was! (And Lexie, I think it was right after Drew's performance.) They never explained it.

I saw a clip of it on tonight's show. I'm surprised that Katherine went home. Just not the year for the girls, especially considering Amberly was also in the bottom three.

Tricia, I'm sorry Mark wasn't in the bottom three.

Yeah, I'm disappointed. Of course, at this point, anyone going home besides Mark, Sebastian, and maybe Earl or Mitch will be a disappointment. Of course, they can't all win.

I was thinking about how they all can't win. And as much as I really want Theo to win, I would still be just as happy if Amberly or Mookie won. Even Drew is growing on me. I'll even be sad to see Mitch or Earl go!

Did anyone see "The Tara Diaries" on CMT on Sunday? It's following Tara Oram (who was 6th last year) after she got her record deal, and how she puts it together and stuff. She has a contest for a fan to write a song that will be on her album.

Anyways, she and Brian Melo are dating and living in Toronto in a 1 bedroom basement apartment. I just find it so interesting that lots of people think that winning a national talent search will launch them to stardom when all it gets you is a one basement bedroom apartment. It looks like Brian didn't even get much from the show but a guarantee of 1 album.

We don't get CMT. I did want to see that, though. Bummer.

I tried looking at the website to see if they had the episodes online but it doesn't look like it.

Sebastian - I agree with Gavin that Sebastian needs to put off the showman and show vulnerability. I don't think the song he chose leads to that. He was still a showman. And what as with those funky, spastic dance steps towards the end? Yikes! He did sing well, though.

Earl - I liked it better than many other performances of his. He stayed seated, which means he didn't have his funky dance steps. And he sang with his eyes open and more to the audience than at any other time instead of with his eyes closed and singing to himself.

Mark - He's a good singer and sold the song, but I still can't see him as the next Canadian Idol. And when he's trying to be funny, he's so CORNY! (Kevin says that he likes Mark's voice when he sings, but he doesn't like anything else about Mark, LOL)

Mitch - I liked it. But I don't see him as the winner, either.

Amberly - I really liked it. It seemed like she enjoyed singing it.

Mookie - I wish the background singers didn't sing so much on his song. I enjoyed it, though. He's great.

Drew - I think he did a great job. I have a soft spot in my heart for him.

Theo - Who sang "Piano Man" - was that Billy Joel? He reminds me of that - a cross between Elton John (the piano) and Billy Joel. I love him! I am really glad he cut out the vocal riffs as Gavin suggested.

My votes - Amberly, Theo, Mookie

Bottom 3 - Sebastian, Mark (oh please, please, please!), and either Mitch or Drew.

Sebastien - I missed him but from the playback I didn't really like. I actually watched the show live while taping it and was going to go back and watch his performance but from the playback I don't think I will

Earl - I really liked him a lot this week, though I still don't think he's as big a star as the judges do...but what do I know, I'm just a lowly record buyer.

Mark - I thought he sung well, but I agree that he just isn't the Idol. He does have a nice voice, but that's all there is to him.

Mitch - I disagreed with the judges and I liked it. But he's not winning material. Found his comment about finding a girl in the audience and singing to her just a little to desperate

Amberly - really enjoyed her....was it peppy enough for you Tricia?

Mookie - loved him again. He is just really cool and really sure of himself.

Drew - I really liked him this week (maybe because this is closer to the music I like). Though I do agree he could have done a little bit more outfit wise.

Theo - I loved him and he's not just an excellent performer but he's also humble. He has such a great training background, and he was still respectful enough to really listen to Gavin and take his advice. He showed that he's a good guy.

Top Three - Theo, Amberly, Mookie
Bottom Three - Sebastien, Mark, Mitch

I'm not surprised.

I am disappointed that Mookie was in the bottom 3 again, though. But like (I think it was) Sass said, when you have 8 people and a bottom 3, you're bound to get someone in there that doesn't "deserve" it.

I was thinking about Sass' comment and it's kind of true. Everyone there is pretty good, and to have a bottom three, you take a whole lot of people (the couches looked near empty when the three were on stage).

I think the bottom three will always be somewhat surprising because there will be someone there who doesn't deserve to be.

And at the same time, it doesn't mean much. Look at American Idol, Syesha was in the bottom two or three almost every week from the beginning and she ended up finishing 3rd.

Mark - It was all Mark - his style, his quality. I don't see or hear anything to write home about.

Mitch - I think he did what the judges asked and stepped out of his comfort zone, but I don't know. I don't care for so many vocal riffs, and his tone isn't my favorite. He performed it well, though.

Drew - He looked like a star up there tonight (maybe like Zack said, it was partly the hair and beard and outfit). He sold the song to me and did a great job of it.

Theo - Excellent! He did well working the stage. It wasn't a typical Theo performance, but it was just as great! He totally sold the song, too.

Mookie - Hard to understand the words, but that's normal for that genre, I think. He is a great performer.

Amberly - I liked it. She does have a great voice and is so natural on stage.

Earl - He just doesn't sell the song for me. Ugh. He just really seemed off tonight, moreso than usual. What was that yelly, screamy thing at the end? What the heck do the judges see in him?

I'd love to see a final 2 of Amberly and Theo. That'd be great!

My top three: Amberly, Theo... and I have to go with Drew over Mookie, but I'm going to vote for Amberly, Drew, and Mookie so hopefully one of the bottom 3 will go home before Mookie.

Bottom 3: Mark, Mitch, Earl

First off, Tom Jones is the grossest shade of orange I have ever seen in my life.

Mark – ok, he reeeaaallllly needs to go now. He just ruined one of the songs I am absolutely loving right now.

Mitch – he was okay, but now I’m starting to feel as though he is singing the same song each week.

Drew – I must say that with his hair and beard that way he is a good looking guy! I thought he was excellent tonight.

Theo – great again and nice to see him do something different. I don’t think he is in the same class as the rest, he really understands this show.

Mookie – great again, he really shouldn’t be in the bottom three.

Amberly – that is my favourite song on my American Idol karaoke game! (oops did I just let that slip?) I honestly didn’t like it as much, maybe it’s because I love the original so much, but I just felt it was too bouncy, and her voice wasn’t smooth enough for the song (which means I completely disagree with all of the judges.) I still think she was good though.

Earl – loved it! (If I closed my eyes…he needs some dance lessons!) I do agree about the scream at the end...way too weird.

Bottom two – Mark and Mitch
Top two – Theo, Earl

I missed most of the show, so for many only saw the recaps.

From what little I saw, I thought Mark or Mitch should be in the bottom.

I did see Earl's performance and didn't think it was as good as usual. I was expecting the judges to criticize him but they didn't have anything negative to say.

I was shocked that Theo was in the bottom 3. Watch - everyone thought he was safe (like I did) and didn't vote for him (like I didn't).

I'm very happy with the other two that were in the bottom 3, and I'm happy with who went home. The last two weeks have not been disappointing.

It was nice to see Mark go home, definitely his time! The way needs to be cleared for the absolutely fantastic people to be the only remaining ones, and then the show will get very interesting.

Shocked to see Theo in the bottom three. But I'm sure that a lot of people did figure he was safe. I'm thinking I should start watching the show the night it's on and then vote. I'll try a bit harder now!
