This is not a criticism, but an observation. Gratitude is one thing, subservience is another. We are repeatedly encouraged to show respect and gratitude to anyone through whom Adoai's blessings may come. However, we are follow only Adonai and those whom He appoints.

If we believe that anyone is acting or teaching contrary to Adonai's teaching, we have an obligation not to follow them and Paul is no exception. As Paul himself tells us, every man needs to be convinced in his own mind. In fact, Ha Torah uses correction as an example of loving ones neighbor as oneself.

Now, we can not avoid responsibility by not following or not correcting. Whher we act or don't act we are responsible for consequences of our actions or inaction.

We can thank God for Paul because none of us would be saved if it wasn't for him. He was the first missionary to the Gentiles.
As much as I appreciate Paul's life of servitude to the Gospel, it's foolish to think that God could not have saved the Gentiles without him!

That's special... one could say that it's foolish to commend Moses for leading the Jews out of Egypt because if he had failed to do so, God could have used someone else. Well he didn't and God didn't.

Nobody said paul isnt to be commended, but to say we would not have been saved except for paul is wrong.

Paul did say "Even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed."
Gal. 1:8

So really, Paul was more concerned with the message then the messenger. It's not Paul we follow - it's Jesus and that is Who Paul followed.
Paul did not lay out the path - at one time his path was doing away with believers in Jesus, all in the name of religion of course. Jesus laid out Paul's new path.

C'est comme ca.

And I did NOT say what you are protesting.
