Please pray that I'm able to convince the city council (here in Detroit) that I should be the one to purchase the empty lot next to my house and not the guy down the street who owns a junk yard. (That he wants to expand toward my house.)
I have to go to a city council meeting tomorrow and try to convince them to let me buy the lots instead of him.
They like to give the lots to business' cuz they hope they'll pay higher taxes than I would. But, this guy is "shifty" and will probably try to worm out of paying taxes at all. (At least I would pay mine.)
The junk-guy has told them a bunch of lies downtown and that's why they gave him the green-light to buy them. I have some papers proving his lies that I plan to present tomorrow. Because he's gotten away with "shady" business in the past, I think he feels he can do what he pleases and that no one will try to stop him. (He tore down an old man's house cuz he thought the man had died. The man came back from down south and was shocked to see his house gone and the junk-man's new office in that place. He promised to pay the old man for his house, but never did.)

Please keep me steady and focused tomorrow. May this situation work itself out for the best. May the council listen politely to me and take into consideration my situation and the needs of the neighborhood.

Well, the meeting was interesting. The room was packed with people. My ex (who lives in the neighborhood) spoke. He stated his/my case. He did a good job. He was firm and to the point. The council listened carefully and appointed a clerk to check into the situation. The clerk took a lot of notes and gave me his card. So, I'm hoping this situation will work out for the best.
I'm a little nervous that the "junk man" will be in a rage if I get the lots instead of him. So, I would appreciate any prayers for a covering of protection for me and the others who live on my street.

Lord, I ask that you put a hedge of protection over chrystal and the property. If it is your
will Lord, please let her be able to buy this property with no problems. Let nothing shady,
evil or crooked be done here or that nothing shady happens with this guy. Let him be
exposed if he is trying to pull something over on these city council people.
