Two part question here: So, would you consider yourself a morning person or a night owl? Do you think it would be a problem in a relationship to be with somebody who was the opposite?

Hoot! Hoot! (Yes I know it's a chicken. Close enough!)

As to the second question, I don't really know. I'd imagine if two people really loved each other they could adjust and meet somewhere in the middle.

I'd have to agree with Robb on both of these. Although, I am currently a morning person by forceful ideas that I need to keep a roof over my kids' heads and food on the table...

Hmm, I'm a "middle of the day person". My Ex woke up "awake" each morning... not cheerful, but wide awake and ready for the day the minute his feet hit the floor. Me, well, not so much . I wander around in circles until I get at least 1 and a half cups of coffee down. I get up really early (5 am) but don't really wake up til around 6ish. The only real problem it caused us was that if he asked me to do something before 6... well, there might be a 50 - 50 chance at best that I would remember it . It was more of a problem that I liked going to bed earllier than he did. Not a super huge deal, but it would have worked better in both our opnions if we had been more on the same page with that...

I would consider myself a night owl although lately I have been waking earlier and I really like it. The hard part for me right now though, is going to bed when the rest of the house is still awake and noisy!! So I guess I would say it wouldn't be hard to change if I were married to a morning person. I agree with Robb that if two people loved each other it would probably be a small thing to work out.

I prefer to be up late and do things then, but due to work I have to be up at oh dark thirty.

So I would have to say a morning person would probably motivate me in the morning, but I would be sad if he wanted to go to bed the second the sun set. I would be quite lonely without him.

Whoa, I read that too fast the first time. Looked like you said "go to bed before the second sun set" and I thought, "Wait, you're moving to Tatooine?!"

I'm sorry, Barry. But that would make you the one who sleeps in late. Quarter of dark would be in the pm...

Well, I am not a morning person that is for sure. I guess I could be a night owl if I had somewhere to go.

I think naturally I'm more of a night owl. When I have an extended amount of time off from work and can stay up as late as I like I always have a hard time getting back into the going to bed earlier when I go back to work.

I don't really think it would be too hard to deal with if I married an early bird. I think it would be more difficult for me if he went to bed later than I did because I have a hard time getting to sleep when others are up and about in the house. But who knows...I could possibly get used to it in time.

I wake up when the sun comes up. Having cats aides that, but the same thing happens when I am not at home. I do get more down in the morning, I think better in the morning.

But I do like to stay up late too. Being able to take a short mid-day nap is nice.

I'm a night owl who has to be up for work at 4:45. Can you guess how I feel about it?

I remember Dad singing this moldy oldie bright and early at the cottage to wake us up.

Oh my!!!!! Ugh...you have my total respect for being able to do that. I'm not so sure I could do it.

Two part question here: So, would you consider yourself a morning person or a night owl? Do you think it would be a problem in a relationship to be with somebody who was the opposite?

I woke up cheerful and whistling every day. M woke up about three hours after she got out of bed. We managed to do OK most of the time.

I love it mostly when I wake up early in the morning and listen to the birds and read my devotional. I don't exaggerate if I say this is probably the most precious time in my whole day.

The only missing thing is...my morning coffee....I miss it!!!
