ORIGINAL: rnershigh Thanks for the additional information Sophie. From that article: In addition, Ahmed Bedier, spokesman for the Tampa chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), testified under subpoena. He told reporters that he was asked questions similar to what he would get at a press conference. Bedier has acted as a family spokesman for the Megahed family. Yup, there ya go. CAIR involved, especially Bedier, you definitely know something is fishy. I don't trust that organization, CAIR is nothing but bad news and has ties to terrorists. They don't condemn terrorism and CAIR's whole goal in the U.S. is to push their agenda and shut people down that criticize Islam. Congresswoman Brown-Waite of Florida letter to Ahmed Bedier about another issue unrelated to the OP: http://blogs.tampabay.com/buzz/files/061109_response_to_mr_bediercair99.pdf So it's pretty clear to me that there is more going on here and these students are not innocent at all. What I want to know is what the heck they were doing all the way in S.C. when they went to school and lived in Florida with what they said was just "fireworks". They needed to go all the way over to a S.C. beach to play with "fireworks"? Florida beaches aren't good enough? They just had to go all the way to S.C.? And they just happened to be near a military installation in S.C. that had "enemy combatants".[8|] Well thank you for posting that letter! I had never seen that before, and it is certainly interesting to say the least.
