As many of you know, my daughter Melody Fisher has been fighting cancer for over 8 years. Melody and her mother spent the last two weeks in Nashville taking care of Melody's mother-in-law who had major cancer surgery at Vanderbilt. Upon returning from Nashville, Melody had her double chemo for her back and liver cancer. Tumors are disappearing, her tumor markers are in the normal range, and her blood counts are great. Needless to say the doctors are astounded, including us. and we thank you for your prayers. As you know the cost of cancer can be a financial challenge for anyone who has had to go through this treatment. Over the past 8 years, we have had to work harder with longer hours, do without, have garage sales and pray much. Upon returning from Nashville, a letter was in the mail from a family foundation in Alabama, with several checks to medical facilities in metro Atlanta to pick up many of the old outstanding medical bills that we have had to put on a back burner. God is so good and faithful. I know there are many such victories out there that would be an encouragment for those going through a spiritual battle at this time. GOD IS SO GOOD!!!

I am thankful for every day I can get up and greet the new day that God has given. I walk outside and look around at the beauty He has created. I look at my children and see the precious gifts He has given to me. I think of where I am today and where God has brought me from and I KNOW that I am truly blessed.[sm=icon_smile_halo.gif]

I thank God that he allows me to go out and sing His music. It is something to get excited about. To watch as lives are touched and transformed through the ministry in His music. Also, as said earlier, thankful to rise from my bed every morning and be able to move about and worship in a free country. Oh, what a Savior we have!!

Today, I'm reminded of the song GV sang 'God Wants to Hear You Sing'. That song makes us realize it is not about what is going on around us, it is about Who He is! That is the real reason for our praise! The circumstances don't always look good but God is good and I praise Him for that, He knows what I need before I need it and He has promised to always supply my needs!

Sunday night we had a 5th Sunday night singing at our church. Our minister of music asked me on Sunday morning if I would sing. 'Just do whatever you feel led to do'. That afternoon as I was looking over my music I came to a song I love but had never done other than 'playing around' with it at home. I asked Alicia if she would play it for me. We went over it a few times and she joined in on harmony on the chorus. I asked her to sing the 2nd verse. It sounded quite good. So on Sunday night she and I sang together for the first time in almost 2 years. She played the piano, did a verse of the song and joined me on the chorus, "I've Come To Take You Home" It was a huge blessing to have her sing and play again. And I believe she was very encouraged by the reception of those at the church.

My mom had to have a biopsy done June 11th, and thank God, the results came back NO CANCER!!!

The Lord sure did take care of my husband before we found out about his cardiac problems and He is certainly with him during the cardiac cath and stent procedures and recovery. I just cannot thank Him enough. God is Good!

Still thanking God for his safe keeping!

Had a stress test a while back. Had called Dr.s office a couple of times for a report and they hadn't received it. Said nothing to worry about. I had an appointment today and asked about the test. The nurse call and got the report before I left the office. Everything was clear and ok. Praise The Lord.

Debbie's surgery did well w/ no complications. Recovering at home . Praise the LORD for Grace & Mercy.

Today, the orchestra for the project was recording their parts, under the direction of Lari Goss. As I've watched Lari work with the players, I've been reminded of how true the song is. Just a few weeks ago I asked our friends to pray for Lari, as he began chemo and radiation treatments for Tracheal Cancer. Today was his first day back in the studio since his treatments ended, and he looked and felt great! Lari and his family are so thankful to the many friends who have been praying for him. He says he can feel the prayers of God's people.

My husband was offered a "lead millwork" job today! [sm=funny.gif][sm=funny.gif][sm=funny.gif] This is wonderful because the stress he has been under on his present job has been a real issue. I AM THRILLED and this is definitely an answer to prayer!! Thank You, Lord!
