Mom still has to run it by Dad but he knows we are planning on going up sometime that week.

Who else is planning to be there? And When?

I know Donna. I think Cynthia and Hazel said they would be there?

Oh dear! I would love to, but it's not possible for me to make it. Someday I hope to, but only the Lord knows when that might be.

Yep! We'll be there! We're driving out on Sunday, then heading home either Thursday or Friday. Our pet sitter is leaving for vacation, otherwise we'd stay longer! Ds3 is training for a duathlon. We've been heading to the track several days a week. He's concerned abotu how he's going to train while we are at FOT. Oh, I think running around with that pack of boys will do it!

I need to head out for my bike ride. It's already 74* and the sun isn't even up yet. It's gonna be a HOT one.

Yes, I meant Cindy...sorry. Yeah, I get to meet hischosen. However, fun run is an oxymoron. I"m glad that's the day we are travelling.

Rebekah is looking better, but she is still freaking out every time she has to pee. The weather is nicer so I am hoping that that will help. I don't know what I am going to do about VBS if she doesn't get better. I don't think anyone else is really going to be able to comfort her even if we did find someone willing to change and clean her 15 million times a day.

(((ezri))) Are you going to a new church?

Not to worry--it will be a Fun Run!!! I am doing a half marathon on 7/26, then a 5K on 8/2. I am so not going to be up for a "real" race!!!

I survived my ride. It's HOT and HUMID! Most of the time it was just hazy. Then, it was drizzling. Only to have the sun come out... Shifting and gusty winds. So yah, I survived the ride. One of my slowest rides in a very long time.

Yes, she is looking for a real church where people love and support each other.

Ellie-Mae--oh, that "don't worry, he won't go in the road" beagle? The one that tried to bite me every time I went by? I'm SHOCKED that he's gone. NOT!!!

Any idea how many people will be doing the fun run? I might be able to get bibs to make it an "official" race.

I'm not sure. but you gave me an idea. I should make a sign up sheet at church for it. We are SOOOOO not good at advertising. Maybe that will help people not forget and encourage them to come.

How would you get those bibs?

Thanks for heads up, Sarah. I haven't heard anything as I am home with Rebekah. I am praying.

((((Donna)))))))

Ellie-Mae--Not certain I can get bibs. What I would use are "leftover" bibs. An organizer will order say 300 bibs for a race, but they may only use 250. Hence, 50 leftover bibs. They do use them for other smaller races. I've seen races with a hodge podge of bibs. Anyway, I can always ask for some leftover bibs.

I really need a shower. But, I'm watching Tour DeFrance and following Ironman Lake Placid on line.

I know, but what is really shocking is that you know the song and who it's by. My kids know that part of the song, but have never actually heard the whole thing, just what I sing. That part of that song had a huge impact on my thinking about school and is partly why I was interested in homeschooling. I just felt that school did me very little good, past junior high. It was almost a complete waste of time. I wanted something better for my kids.

here is a Youtube video of that song. He is so expressive. It is amazing that he was able to use words, song and video to express what many of us were feeling. I wouldn't recommend watching the rest of the wall though. The guy was seriously disturbed.

BTW: The first time that saw that video, I was while skipping school.

Not yet. I really worried about Brian the longer that there is no news. I know that it hasn't been THAT long, but it feels like it. Poor Donna. What a nightmare.

What time was the accident? Was she not going to church or was he driving separate for some reason?

On the way to church.

They take seperate cars. They don't like leaving the same time all the time.

No, but I guess that she went back to look for him when he didn't show up at church and didn't answer his cell phone. That is just what I have "heard" though so I don't know how reliable it is.

ETA: It just makes me sick. I can't imagine how she must feel.
