How long does it take to win or lose a football game. 11 seconds or less!

Anyone have any fingernails left after watching Sunday's games? Five games decided in the closing seconds.

Bears defense should be holding their heads in shame, giving up that pass. Rookie Ryan looked like a veteran QB.

Arizona's coach has to be breathing a sigh of relief. That silly timeout in the closing seconds voiding that great defensive play, blocking the punt. Ironically, another blocked punt for a TD gave them the win. That was the second time in a week and only the second time in NFL history (last week's being the first).

It's turning out to be an exciting season!!!

Tony Romo's out for four weeks for a broken pinky finger. I saw the Cardinals/Cowboys game yesterday and going off memory, I can't remember seeing anything which would have shown him getting hurt.

He was getting sacked pretty hard. His offensive line was looking like swiss cheese at times, but four weeks for a pinky? This insures that the Cowboys season is on the way down.

It supposedly happened on the first play in OT, but that might explain why some of his passes to TO (terribly 'ornery) were off.

He's not the only hurting Cowboy, rookie running back Felix Jones and punter Mat McBriar are having MRI's.

One thing after this win everybody's knowing this Arizona team is for real!

Sounds wimpy but a QB has to have perfect control of his passes. Any injury can throw it off. Romo probably can play but not at a level he is comfortable with. Best to let it heal and be ready for the stretch run instead of struggling through it all year, hopefully for them the 'Boys can hold on until he comes back.

Simple, Donovan McNabb is a winner and he leads the team. Andy Reid is a winner and has built a culture of winning over there. They've struggled in recent years because the talent gap between them and their rivals was too great to overcome more often than not but in a close game, especially against a team that isn't used to winning like the 49ers, they are going to pull it out.

Attitude and sports character* counts for a lot on the field of play.

His replacement is 40 years old! I hope they have plenty of back-up QB's! Especially the way their offensive line has been looking lately! To the man's credit he has a ring with TB on his un-broken finger.

Coming off a wacky week (Rams won? Cleveland beat the Giants?) And my my most horrible record to date (7-7, even 0.500, 1-2 on my "locks", sorry NoShow) I am going to make my picks with the upmost trepidation! But here we go......

Buffalo over San Diego (Buffalo's defense will make the difference, LT hasn't been steller as of late averaging less than 4 YPC)
Saints over Panthers (Sure Thing 1)
Bears over Vikings (although my gut say it'll be a close game)
STEELERS over Cincinati (They win ugly but they've been winning)
Titans over Chiefs (Sure Thing 2)
Miami over Ravens (Miami's creativity on offense will overcome the league's stingiest defense and anemic offense)
NY Giants over SF (although if they play like they did Monday...)
Dallas over Rams (without some key players and the Rams a little more confident, this also might be close)
Colts over GB
Jets over Raiders (Boo! Sure thing 3)
Washington over Cleveland (should be a good game with that confidence building win against the Giants but I also think the Redskins pride will cause them to play harder)

Cow, I am wearing a black armband in your honor! The Giants were pathetic on offense and defense! They better shake that one off and move on or SF has the ability to be an upset team. I am sure their defensive coordinator is going to watch what the Browns did and Eli can expect more of the same!

I believe it was their first posession in overtime. When he fell on the loose ball. Scrambling around on the ground like that can easily cause an injury.

That and the O-Line did a great job protecting McNabb, especially in the end. You just can't give him that much time or you're going to pay the consequences.

With the next two games being St L and TB, I can see Romo sitting out. But with @NYG and @Wash after that, I just can't see him out for all four weeks.

It was definitely a wacky week. Especially considering such a small time difference would have changed the outcome of so many games.

Good thing I just pick for fun otherwise my wife would be pretty mad right now! Heck! I'd be mad too! I wouldn't even want to move back in with mom either!

Cow, we can blame Eli's bad performance on the announcers who in the pre-game show were talking about how Eli was the better Manning QB and how few interceptions he's thrown this year, etc. They jinxed him!

And when Eli held on a little to long, throwing off his back foot, bad things happen.

Derek Anderson finally found the long pass

I cannot imagine Romo sitting out against the Giants.

And the 49ers coaching staff plays a big part in the losing mentality in SF. Nolan wasted his challenge flag on the Eagles' field goal--he said he didn't get an explanation from the official if the ball "was over or under" the crossbar?!?!? And he was asking the officials if he was allowed to challenge a field goal.

I couldn't believe that was his first for over 20 yards! What's he been throwing all year side-outs?

The Lions took the Cowboys for a ride, that's for sure! Now we'll have to see how TO reacts to all of this. If I was a betting man, I'd say that TO gets a case of "Phildelphia-itis" and will demand out of Dallas at season's end. He won't like sharing glory with Roy Williams.

PacMan's NFL career is over. I don't see the Commish letting him back in the NFL at all. Maybe he can redeem himself in the Arena League.

There are going to be these kinds of days. The Giants may be trying to rely too much on the ground game. They need to establish the passing game, then grind the opponent into hamburger.

Roy Williams??? What's next, hiring Matt Millen?

On another note, that will be confusing trying to figure out if a Cowboy fan is referring to the underachieving WR they just brought in or the underachieving SS.

I always thought that Williams problem in Detriot was more an issue of the Lions, than him. That he was more underutilized, than being an underacheiver.

I agree the Cowboys did give up a lot. But on the otherhand, I don't get all the talk about TO, like he's going to be a primary factor in the foreseeable future. This is his 13th (or so) season, not a lot of miles left on him.

The team is underachieving.

And what SS, pacman is CB. The only arena is destined to achieve in is the the yard of a state facility. Some folks just can't keep out of trouble.

The SS that is being referred to is Roy Williams, so with the trade, there are now 2 Roy Williams' on the team.

And I agree, this team is underachieving BIG TIME. I'm not a Cowboys' fan (I'm actually a Seahawks fan), but I had Dallas picked as the top team of the NFC.

I think what was meant was the Dallas Cowboys will now have a Roy E. Williams WR and a Roy L. Williams SS.
