I read some of the emails that were posted on the internet. They weren't exactly personal. They were government business related.

Can you please show us these links/proof? I have been following this story on every left AND right wing news source and nothing of that sort has been found.

Did you see the actual emails?

It seems obvious to me that you all woke up cranky from your guy's poor performance last night and the dawning of the reality that he cannot pull this off. I can understand your frustration. Perhaps you feel that if you can only link this hacker with Obama you can save the day. Best of luck with that.

What I saw was personal in nature; do you have actual evidence of government business?

The news story I read about a hacker and her email was that Palin was using her personal email account to conduct gov. business.

And that was found to be untrue - she was not using a Yahoo email account to conduct government business.

If she was, I don't really care. What was assumed in this hacker's motive, from what I read, was they were trying to find out if there was anything true to Trooper Gate.

Why would a college kid care about Palin and Trooper Gate? Unless him being the son of a prominent Democrat has something to do with it all...

ORIGINAL: perichoretic

Now, my point was (which was hijacked by everyone here) was only to say that perhaps if Palin would not be blocking this investigation and be upfront about this very real, criminal issue then perhaps this hacker would not have felt compelled to break the law in this way.

Again, two separate issues.

Do you have evidence of actual e-mails that were government business related, or is this simply something you are assuming because you hate Palin?

Yes, as did anyone else following the story. We saw the pictures too.

oh brother. Where did I endorse anything illegal? Gimme a break. Funny how you all gloss over the main point - that Palin is hiding something.

What in the world are you talking about?

Palin using a Yahoo email account for personal correspondence that included sending private family pictures.. talking about prayer meetings, etc... how is that "something to hide?" Maybe I am missing something from this equation, if so please fill me in.

you are completely ignoring that there are legal ways that people put in power to investigate Gov. Plain could have gotten access to her personal email account. They could have subpeoned it. You continue to justify the illegal act while saying "I do not justify it."

So is this your waving of the white flag? Is this you bowing out after you have been informed that your entire premise of your argument was wrong from the get?

Cool.

Earthless-
Cool. Like I said, I don't really care what is in her email. I only care about the issue of what she is hiding and why is she blockign an investigation? You have to admit that is troubling.

Jhud-
I don't hate Palin. I just think she is not VP material.

No you posted that the little snot hacker did the right thing because YOU THINK Gov. Palin is hiding something. Even the dumb little snot hacker said that there was nothing in her emails to derail her politically. Even with all of the dirt diggers (media and DNC operatives) that have been sent to AK since the announcement of her nomination nothing has been found. You just don't like the fact that there is nothing there. You don't think some of those "Old Boys" she kicked around in both parties wouldn't offer up the dirt if there was something on her? You must be new to politics.

So, if the bank denies a loan I want then I have the right to feel compelled to go ahead and rob said bank for the cash?

I know when push comes to shove leftists hate the Bill of Rights and it's protections, but illegal search and seizure clause exists because American citizens retain the right to keep certain things from public view, and the government must justify (or have warrant, thus the term, a warrant) their interest in ones' personal belongings. None of us should be required to release private correspondence apart from some evidence of wrongdoing presented by proper legal authorities; leftist accusations aren't sufficient here.

Thanks. Email me your contact info so my lawyer can get you to testify. Unless you're afraid we'll hack into that account and see what you're hiding....

Well you won't release your private e-mails, so it is obviously true.

Wow - liberals are now advocating breaking federal laws in pursuit of gaining power; what's next, advocating assasination?

No, we'll leave that for Palin supporters.

Well of course; a single person shouts something at a rally, and it must be a Palin supporter, because leftists never get so violent.

Don't be silly. No. We know she is hiding something because she is obviously hiding something. I don't care about her emails.

Well, do you think she should make her underwear drawer public? Because I myself do hide things there.
What else should she make public? Stuff under her bed?

Are you in favor of applying these same standards to say someone like Barak Obama? Would you like to see his grades at Columbia made public? What about his birth certificate? Do you think he is hiding something if he doesn't reveal these?
