I'm not looking for a party girl, who gets wasted out on the town. I'm not looking for a gorgeous girl, who has bowing men at her feet. I'm not looking for the social girl, who is popular all around. I'm not looking for the perky girl, who is always on the upbeat. I'm not looking for the sexy girl, who hops in the sack the first night. I'm not looking for a perfect girl, who will always do all things right. I'm just looking for a woman who is real, who will give me a chance to show her my heart. I'm looking for a woman who will not mind that I open doors for her and offer my arm, who doesn't think she's a queen but doesn't mind that I treat her like a princess. I'm looking for a woman who will talk with me and walk with me and let me share with her the ups and downs of life, the joys and the pains, the moonlit walks and the weary nights. Guys, if you agree, let the ladies know here. If you disagree, say how and why. Ladies, be encouraged that there are guys out here for whom the looks and the other things society tells us are important are merely cake icing. Some cake is better without the icing. The icing is usually just sugar and fat, anyway. The vitamins and other good stuff is inside. :)

Skreyola, That is so beautifully written! And I'm definitely encouraged by the sentiment. This confirms that there are some men out there that want a woman with substance and character, who loves the Lord, and looks nice - but doesn't have to be a beauty queen. thanks for starting this discussion. rgod

Just to add... I know society doesn't think I match up. But it is a requirement that my man thinks I'm drop dead gorgeous and gets butterflies in his stomach when he sees me. But otherwise, I liked what you had to say skreyola!

Therefore what follows is likely right from the heart. So, I agree that Skreyola is truthfully stating the ideal of who he's looking for to share life with. However... he's never put a cap of anyting (foil, a pilgrim's hat, a tassle cap- nope! Nothing.) on his bird in his avatar. You'd think there'd be some outrageous boxen for the penguin to wear. Well, no. Only I have been so daring, so creative, so lighthearted and fearless to do so. Beautiful sentiments, bro Skrey. My eyes didn't water, but the meter, the rhyme, the transition.... it was all well done.
